Abstract

Among scholars, there are differences of view regarding the use of ḥadīth ḍa‘īf. This difference in views has little effect on the religious views of Islamic organizations in Indonesia, including the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). This paper aims to elaborate the view of the Nahdlatul Ulama Jember against the ḥadīth ḍa'īf, either related to law halal and haram, or about faḍā'il al-a'māl, targhīb, and tarhīb. By using the descriptive qualitative method, it was found that: (a) theoretically, NU Jember follows the views of jumhūr ‘ulamā’ who reject the use of ḥadīth ḍa'īf in the field of the law of halal and haram, but practically still tolerate ḥadīth ḍa'īf particular in the area of the law of halal and haram; (c) in the field of faḍā'il al-a'māl, targhīb, and tarhīb, Nahdlatul Ulama Jember allow argues with the ḥadīth ḍa'īf. What is meant by faḍā’il al-a‘māl in the view of the Nahdlatul Ulama Jember is deeds that are not obligatory (Fardhu), namely Sunnah worship, an expected worship reward by doing it.

Abstract

One day before the sea alms event held by coastal residents around Pantai Baru, Bantul Regency, a group of mobs carried out an act of violence that destroyed property (ubo rampe) for the event. The mass group considers that the marine charity event, which coastal residents routinely carry out, is an activity of shirk. Research in this journal is normative juridical (legal research), which focuses on studying the principles or norms in positive law, especially legal instruments in the field of Human Rights, both nationally and internationally. This type of research is carried out by examining formal legal regulations such as laws and literature containing theoretical concepts, which are then linked to the issues raised in the journal, namely aspects of human rights violations. The actions of a group of mobs that prevent the community from carrying out the sea alms tradition violate human rights. The government can try to protect the people's human rights in a preventive and repressive manner. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the portrait of tolerance and religious harmony practiced by the Golong village community between Muslims and Hindus through the Ngejot tradition. The study departs from Indonesia's many religious conflicts, especially on the island of Lombok. The clashes occurred because of the lack of religious tolerance of the Sasak people. Amid many disputes that arise, the Golong village community has its way of maintaining religious harmony, namely through the Ngejot tradition. The research is included in the type of field research (field research) because the data is collected through explanations or answers from informants. Data sources The data in this study were obtained from religious leaders, humanists, and people who have a broad understanding of the tradition of Ngejot. The data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the Ngejot tradition carried out by two religions, namely Islam and Hinduism, aims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and kinship that have long been built by their ancestors who have noble ideals to create a harmonious life. This tradition is not just about giving or delivering food to each other on religious holidays but goes beyond the meaning of tolerance itself. Islamic and Hindu religious communities not only respect each other and respect each other's rights but are also actively involved in realizing a tolerant and harmonious attitude to life. This is evidenced by mutual assistance to secure each other's religious activities on significant days such as Eid al-Fitr, Adha, takbiran marches, Kuningan, Odalan, and other religious social activities. They help each other without having to be hindered by religious barriers. Because for them, both Muslims and Hindus are basemen (brothers). Free For Article Collaboration With 2 Countries.

Abstract

Patrol music (Tok-tok) was originally a musical accompaniment used to accompany night patrols in villages and townships and mark the hour or when there was danger. However, gradually, this practice began to be abandoned in some areas because there were not many night patrols. Patrol Music (Tok-tok) is a form of cultural activity usually contested when the holy month of Ramadan arrives. Playing patrol music takes a group of people with various equipment who generally use traditional musical instruments such as kentongan. It is not uncommon in practice for musicians or music patrol players to use household items such as pots, frying pans, used bottles, spoons, and so on. The Santri Unity Communication (KOMPERSA) is an inter-student organization from Kropoh Village, Ra'as District, Sumenep Regency. Islamic boarding schools, Java and Madura, unite students through several activities, such as the Patrol Music Festival. The purpose of this study was to increase solidarity between Islamic boarding school students who are in the horseshoe area and Madura who come from Kropoh Village, Ra'as District, Sumenep Regency, during the Islamic boarding school holidays, especially during the holy month of Ramadan through the Patrol music festival. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that Patrol Music (Tok-tok) has an excellent impact on the communication of the santri unity (KOMPERSA). The solidarity built between the students had a significant influence when the festival was held, such as building harmonious communication between fellow students, even though they lived differently in the pesantren environment, both in the Horseshoe area and the Madura area. They need each other because there are similarities as someone with a santri identity who must apply the knowledge gained at Islamic boarding schools to the surrounding community, especially in the village of Kropoh.

Abstract

The Abhekalaghi tradition in Tempurejo is the social acculturation of the people there as a tradition that has been carried out from generation to generation in matchmaking of their children and marrying them off, but in its current developments, is this tradition still relevant in the perspective of Islamic law and Marriage Law No. 16 The year 2019 has provided a change in the implementation of marriage by giving a new norm in the form of limiting the age of marriage which makes this tradition still following the times and applicable legal provisions. Then the question arises: What is the background of the social acculturation of the Abhekalaghi tradition in carrying out marriages in the Tempurejo community, Jember. And how the implementation of this tradition is the perspective of Islamic law and Law No. 16 of 2019. The method used in this research is empirical juridical, a descriptive qualitative or field study using a sociology of law and legislation approach—data generated through direct interviews with the Tempurejo community for research sites. So, the results of research on the acculturation of the Abhekalaghi tradition in the Tempurejo community can be concluded that the background to this tradition is due to several factors such as economic factors, educational factors, local customs factors, parental factors, and social factors. Based on the view of Islamic law, the Abhekalaghi tradition is not prohibited because the 'Urf in this custom is more directed to 'Urf Hasan, which may be carried out following Islamic law that applies to that society. Then, we review Law No. 16 of 2019 regarding changes to Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage, so we can see that many early marriages are being implemented because they are not following these regulations, which has led to an increase in dispensation for marriage in this society.
