Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the success of enrichment activities in the National Movement for Forest and Land Rehabilitation program that has been carried out at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Pocut Meurah Intan Forest Park Forest Management Unit. Plant observations were carried out using the Systematic Sampling with Random Start method, with a sampling intensity of 5% or a research area of 5 Ha from a 100 ha enrichment area. The experimental parameters are the type composition, the number of plants, and the state of health of the plant. The results of field observations found that the design of plant types was six: three types of cash plants and three types of Multiple Purpose Tree Species (MPTS). Jackfruit (Artocarpus Integra) is the most dominant growing plant. At the same time, Meranti (Shorea sp) is the plant that grows the least. There were 757 plant stems from the entire plot, with a growing percentage of 37.85% and a healthy percentage of 34.80%. The failure of planting in this program is due to the lack of community involvement in preparing plans for these activities, the lack of continuous supervision, and the timing of implementation does not correspond to the growing season.

Abstract

The Medan wildlife park is one of the tourist attractions and places of educatiom for people in indonesia, especially in the city of Medan. Medan wildlife park is located in Medan Tuntungan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of animals in the Medan zoo, the management of the Medan zoo, and to find out the feed given to the animals at the Medan zoo. The method used in this research is the method of qualitative analysis. The result of this study indicate that the types of animals in the Medan zoo are generally 3 classes of animals identified, namely 17 species of mammals, 13 species of aves, and 4 species of reptiles, with food groupings namely omnivores, carnivores, and also herbivores. The conclusion of this study is that there are 3 classes of animals in which there are 34 species with a total population of 245 animals.

Abstract

Sustainable development requires three aspects that must be balanced, namely economic, socio-cultural, and environmental. The implementation of sustainable development that has been carried out has not shown maximum results. The purpose of this research is to formulate a strategy to implement sustainable development derived from practices that have been carried out in various countries. This research uses literature study method with descriptive analysis. The results of this study are to obtain six strategies that can be used to achieve sustainable development. The six strategies are the fulfillment of social and security rights, community participation and utilization of local wisdom, provision of infrastructure, utilization of technology, information, and communication, strong political and legal commitment, and collaboration of various parties.

Abstract

kebakaran hutan memiliki dampak yang bisa dirasakan langsung oleh manusia, dampak tersebut berupa kerugian ekonomis yaitu hilangnya manfaat dari potensi hutan seperti tegakan pohon hutan yang biasa digunakan manusia untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya akan bahan bangunan, bahan makanan, dan obat-obatan, serta satwa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan protein hewani dan rekreasi.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data primer dan data skunder serta pengamatan lansung ke lokasi yang terjadi kebakaran, sedangkan untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara dalam pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah akan dilakukan kajian secara mendalam Wilayah Kecamatan Kebayakan merupakan daerah yang beriklim tropis, tergolong pada iklim tipe B menurut Schimidt Ferguson dengan curah hujan berkisar antara 2.603-3.725 mm/tahun. Musim kemarau biasanya terjadi pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juli, dan musim hujan Kebayakan memiliki kelembaban udara dengan rata-rata 80,08%. Kelembaban udara tertinggi 86,28% dan terendah 74,25% Penyebab utama kahutla di Aceh Tengah akibat pembukaan lahan pertanian dengan cara membakar lahan pada saat musim kemarau. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari kebakaran hutan dan lahan tersebut yaitu hilangnya manfaat dari potensi hutan yang biasa digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya dan terbakarnya kebun para petani yang ada disekitar kebakaran tersebut, meningkatnya suhu udara dan terjadinya longsor

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki potensi keindahan alam, keragaman hayati, flora, fauna, dan keragaman serta keunikan budaya . Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sumber devisa Negara dan mempunyai peran penting dalam membangun perekonomian Indonesia. berbagai potensi yang dimiliki oleh Provinsi Sumatera Utara, menjadi penentu pengembangan sektor pariwisata, perlu suatu kajian dan analisis yang mendalam dan akurat mengenai proyeksi pasar pada wisata alam Sumatera Utara. Analisis Proyeksi Pasar Wisata Alam, menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif memberikan interpretasi yang akurat terhadap data dan informasi dari hasil observasi. Sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi atau menggali data-data yang bersifat non kuantitatif (data non sekunder), sehingga didapat informasi yang lebih intensif guna memperkuat hasil analisa kuantitatif, menekankan pada pemahaman, penalaran, dan situasi tertentu. Tren pola perjalanan wisata alam asal Sumatera Utara yang diperkaya dengan informasi diperoleh dari prospek pasar wisata alam berbasis panorama dan petualangan, kegiatan wisata menikmati panorama alam dan rafting. Segmen pasar prospektif dari kelompok usia muda, komunitas, dan keluarga yang potensial serta waktu kunjungan. Pola pemasaran dan promosi yang prospektif adalah media-media sosial Hasil perhitungan proyeksi terhadap pasar wisata alam, menunjukkan proyeksi jumlah wisata lebih tinggi dari target pasar yang telah ditetapkan serta diproyeksikan terus meningkat terutama untuk perjalanan dengan produk wisata alam. Peningkatan proporsi perjalanan wisata alam keluar propinsi asal diproyeksikan terjadinya penurunan. Sedangkan segmen pasar yang meningkat adalah segmen golongan muda (usia produktif) dan segmen keluarga.

Abstract

quantitative understanding of hydrological behavior watershed can be known from soil and climate characteristics. Soil characteristics were analyzed based on primary data from disturbed soil sampling to determine the soil texture class. The Texture Class was analyzed in the Soil Laboratory Bogor Agricultural Institute and classified by the USDA method. Climate characteristics of watershed Tamiang were analyzed using observational rainfall data and temperature data, to identify rain patterns, climate types, and the influence of ENSO and IOD on the Tamiang watershed. Climatic types are classified by the Schmidt-Ferguson, Oldeman and Koppen methods. The effect of ENSO and IOD on the regional climate of watershed Tamiang was analyzed using the climate explorer tool. As a result of the soil texture analysis, watershed Tamiang is dominated by clay texture. The characteristic rain pattern is equatorial with peak rainy seasons of May and October. The influence of ENSO's global climate on the regional climate of the Tamiang watershed is in the weak category with a correlation of -0.347, while the influence of IOD is very weak with a correlation of 0.089.

Abstract

River water quality in Indonesia is generally declining, including the water quality of the Weh Toweren River. The increasing population has an impact on increasing the waste discharge of residents into the waters. This increase also forced all sectors of production and consumption to increase, exacerbating the damage to rivers. The purpose of this study was to assess the water quality at the mouth of the Weh Toweren River. This research method uses a laboratory descriptive method. Determination of river water quality status using the Storage and Retrieval of Water Quality Data System (STORET) method. The parameters that are used as the basis for determining the status of river water quality are in the form of physical and chemical parameters. Physical parameters consist of temperature, brightness, turbidity, dissolved solids and suspended solids. Chemical parameters consist of pH, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen requirements, chemical oxygen requirements, nitrates, nitrites, sulfates and fatty oils. The water quality data used is secondary data obtained from Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Aceh Tengah for the period 2017 to 2021. There are several parameters with a maximum value that has passed the Class I water quality standard including; TSS, BOD5 and COD. Based on The STORET analysis, the water quality status of the Weh Toweren River when compared to class I water quality standards is in Class B or "lightly polluted" with the STORET index (-8). Parameters that cause river water quality to be polluted include DO with a score of (-2), BOD5 (-2), COD (-4).
