Abstract

This study aims to find out how PAIKEM learning strategies are applied to class IX students at Gonzaga Tomohon Catholic Middle School in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Moral Education (PAK-BP), and to determine whether or not there is an influence between PAIKEM learning strategies on PAK learning outcomes. -BP class IX student at Gonzaga Tomohon Catholic Middle School. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a survey approach and is a type of causal associative research that aims to determine whether or not there is an influence or relationship between the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y). The research sample in this study amounted to 88 respondents obtained by calculating the Slovin formula. Validity and reliability tests were carried out using IBM SPSS 16 For window and all questionnaire items and tests distributed were declared valid and reliable. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between PAIKEM learning strategy variables on PAK- BP learning outcomes of class IX students at Gonzaga Tomohon Catholic Middle School with a correlation coefficient of determination of 0.443 with a percentage of 44.3% and is in the medium category with a significance of 0.000. The PAIKEM learning strategy belongs to the very good category with an average score of 83.06 on a scale of 20-80. PAK-BP learning outcomes of class IX students belong to the high category with an average score of 85.82. This shows that there is an influence between the independent variables on the dependent variable with a contribution of 44.3% and the remaining 55.7% is influenced by other factors. Based on this research, the better the PAIKEM learning strategy is applied, the better the PAK-BP learning outcomes obtained by students.

Abstract

The Great Commission of Jesus Christ in Matt. 28:18-20 laid the foundation for the institutionalization of Baptism in the Church, due to the task of proclaiming the Good News, baptizing and leading the faithful. In reality, Christians are often less aware of the true meaning of Christian leadership in their ministerial duties and relevant models of Christian leadership. Using literature study, this article provides a review of the Great Commission and some ideas about Christian leadership. Christian leadership is discussed in order to offer at the end, a model of Christian leadership to implement this Great Commission, namely Servant Leadership.

Abstract

This research was aimed to explore the influence of appreciating Pancasila’s values to the attitude of religious moderation among students in SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon. This research was carried on April 2022 in SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon. Primary data was collected through questionnaires to 57 students of the school. The method of this research was quantitative using descriptive statistics. Three hypotheses were tested by multiple linear regresseion analysis. The result of this study showed that three hypotheses were proven to have correlation significantly. It was proven by the result of statistical account through simple linear regression analysis. So the main conclusion of this research was to find significant correlation between the appreciation of Pancasila’s values (x variable) and the attitude of religious moderation (y variable).

Abstract

This paper is the result of a review of research conducted at Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School by measuring how much influence the use of powerpoint-based learning media has on students' learning motivation. The method used is a quantitative research method. The results of the study found that the use of PowerPoint-based learning media at Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School obtained a score of 0.80 so it was in the VERY GOOD category. The learning motivation of Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School students obtained a score of 0.80 so it was in the VERY GOOD category. Judging from the results of a simple linear regression analysis, the value of the coefficient of determination (R square) which is a measure of how much influence PowerPoint-based learning media has as a variable X on variable Y, namely student learning motivation at Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School is 0.440 with a significance of 0.000. PowerPoint learning media contributes 44% to student motivation at Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School and 56% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the Implementation of the Ki Hajar Dewantara Education Concept at SMP Negeri 1 Bitung. This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in qualitative research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The conclusion of the study is, first: in the Application of the Ki Hajar Dewantara Education Concept at SMP Negeri 1 Bitung. The implementation itself has begun to be implemented and the application includes three environments, namely, the family environment, the school environment, and the community environment. Second: what are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the Ki Hajar Dewantara Education Concept, namely the support of teachers in building enthusiasm and intentions for students, then there is support from parents and the environment in developing their talents and potential. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors themselves lack the creativity of subject teachers when studying online, inadequate study hours, and lack of intense communication between teachers and students. And then the third: efforts in improving the Ki Hajar Dewantara Education Concept at SMP Negeri 1 Bitung, namely, subject teachers make creative and innovative activity plans by considering all aspects as well as possible. Then the teacher reflects and evaluates at the end of the class hour to achieve the learning objectives.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of social media on the character of students at SMA Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School. Primary data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 128 students. There are 3 hypotheses. Two hypotheses are descriptive hypotheses and 1 hypothesis is tested by simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study concluded that the 3 hypotheses proved to be strong and significant. This finding indicates that social media greatly influences the character of Don Bosco Lembean Catholic High School students. Social media plays a very important role in the formation of student character. Positive or negative influences are largely determined by the assistance of teachers and parents at home. This finding is also an input for foundations and teachers to really pay attention to the use of social media from students both at school and outside of school.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the understanding of the Catholic Young People's group about the eucharist, the Catholic Youth's appreciation and the efforts that need to be made to increase the Catholic Young People's understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out in three ways, namely: Observation, Interview and Documentation Study. In this study, the research actors and informants were selected by the authors using a purposive procedure, namely the determination of informants by selecting key people who match the criteria and research problems. The conclusion of this study consists of three parts. First: Young Catholics in the Parish of Santa Ursula Watutumou already understand quite well about the Eucharist as the source and peak of the Christian faith, where in the Eucharist a direct encounter with God occurs through the event of transubstantiation. Second: OMK in Santa Ursula Watutumou Parish is able to appreciate the meaning of the Eucharist as an important celebration in the Church, so that because of the basis of the Eucharist itself, OMK seeks to realize the Eucharist as a necessity, not just a meaningless routine, and tries to be actively involved by increasing the role of the Eucharist. and OMK in the celebration of the Eucharist. Third: Efforts that can be made to increase understanding and appreciation of OMK in Santa Ursula Watutumou Parish, among others by participating in worship, diligently attending Sunday Mass and daily Mass and being actively involved in them, following the example of parents who provide examples and motivation in interpreting the Eucharist, and participating in faith deepening activities such as socialization and catechesis on the Eucharist.

Abstract

Abstrak This research examines the Catholic religious leadership style at Siwa Lima Vocational School, Tourism Vocational School and Sanata Karya High School located in Langgur, Southeast Maluku, to reveal and know four things: Style, spirituality, characteristics and the impact of Catholic religious leadership implemented in the three educational units mentioned above. The research was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques as well as the symbols that appeared on the research subjects. The results of the study show that Catholic religious who lead educational institutions, in addition to following Jesus' leadership model, are also imbued with monastic spirituality which is lived and lived by every religious in the monastic community. The leadership that is carried is believed to be a gift from God and not merely a trust given by the Foundation. Leadership style as a servant, shepherd and caretaker is a leadership model that influences and inspires members with life examples and spiritual authority, which builds an educational unit into a community of love or school of love. The spirituality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and John Maria Vianey greatly influences the way of thinking, feeling and acting of religious leadership in three educational units; a spirituality lived and lived by Catholic religious based on an intimate relationship with Jesus through prayer and the Eucharist. The quality of Catholic religious leadership based on this relationship has a concrete impact on: exemplary, discipline, selfless work, spirit of service, respect for each person, cooperation are the values that are fought for.

Abstract

This paper is the result of quantitative research to answer the question of the influence of the inquiry learning model on the learning outcomes of PAK-BP grade VIII students at SMP Frater Don Bosco Tomohon, as well as to determine whether or not there is an influence between the inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes. This study uses a survey method which aims to determine the effect of variable X on variable Y. To find out this, calculations are used using the slovin formula so that the sample used in this study is 53. This data collection technique is made by spreading 25 items questionnaire statements and 25 test items in the form of multiple choices. As for testing data analysis using validity and reliability tests using IBM SPSS 16.0 For Windows. Based on the results of testing each variable, there is a positive and significant influence between the inquiry learning model on the PAK-BP learning outcomes of students in class VIII with a coefficient of determination of 0.445 with a percentage of 44.5% and is in the medium category with a significance level of 0.000 with an average score the average inquiry learning model of 81.55 is included in the very strong category, and the average score of PAK-BP learning outcomes for class VIII students is 79.38 included in the good category. This shows that there is an influence between the variables of the inquiry learning model on the learning outcomes of PAK-BP grade VIII students at SMP Frater Don Bosco Tomohon by contributing as much as 44.5%

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to know the role of the teacher in improving student character education and the inhibiting and supporting factors of the teacher's role in improving student character education and the teacher's efforts in improving student character education. This research uses descriptive research techniques/types with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the main instrument is the researcher himself. The findings obtained are that the teacher has acted as a facilitator, communicator, motivator and role model as well as being a bridge for students to have good knowledge and character. The main supporting factors are family or parents, the students themselves who have a good personality or character, and the role of the teacher in terms of setting a good example. Inhibiting factors are family or parents who have problems, the environment where they live, and students who have bad personalities or characters. the efforts made by the teacher in improving the character education of students, namely, the teacher seeks to always remind and instill character values to students through the learning process. Apart from that, the teacher also applies it in real actions that can be imitated by students.
