Psikoeduko : Jurnal Psikologi Edukasi dan Konseling is published by Study Program Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Educational Sciece, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in collaboration with the Asosiasi Bimbingan dan Konseling Indonesia (ABKIN). Journal Psikoeduko is expected to be able to communicate, enrich theories, research, policies, and practices in the field of guidance and counseling. As a national journal, Psikoeduko provides a quality platform for writers throughout the Indonesian archipelago from a variety of cultural backgrounds who are still in one umbrella of guidance and counseling. Readers are expected from among students, educators, and others interdisciplinary in the national sphere. The published articles include comprehensive guidance and counseling studies, individual development in educational settings, measurement, and assessment in guidance and counseling, as well as technological innovations in guidance and counseling. This journal is expected to explain the implications of guidance and counseling in educational settings for practitioners, educators, researchers, and students.

Abstract

In providing counseling guidance services, a counselor or guidance and counseling teachers need to have good competence following the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 27 Year 2008 on Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competency. In Indonesia, it is still found that some problems that faced by guidance and counseling teachers in the preparation of guidance and counseling programs, one of which is the guidance and counseling teacher who copied and pasted the counseling program last year. This article will explain an overview of the competence of guidance and counseling teachers in designing guidance and counseling programs, challenges in designing guidance and counseling programs, the factors that caused copy-pasting the guidance and counseling programs, and the efforts to improve the professional competence. This study uses a literature review method. The study revealed that a general overview of the competence of guidance and counseling teachers in designing guidance and counseling programs is in the high and medium categories. There are various challenges in designing guidance and counseling programs: 1) guidance and counseling teachers do not analyze every aspect of programming; 2) guidance and counseling teachers are lacking in making the equivalence of guidance and counseling service hours with subject hours; 3) guidance and counseling teachers do not receive special socialization and training on Pedoman Operasional Penyelenggaraan Bimbingan Konseling (POBK); 4) the guidance and counseling service programs do not receive support from school leaders in terms of financing. Efforts to improve professional competence in designing guidance and counseling programs are analyzing student needs, attending training, guidance and counseling workshops and seminars, implementing Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and following instructions from Ministerial Regulation Number 27 Year 2008 on Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competency in designing guidance and counseling programs.

Abstract

Abstract : This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many industrial companies and organizations that recruit prospective employees by providing a minimum GPA score requirement. Students with low grit are less able to survive in doing a large number of course assignments and also feel unable to concentrate following long hours of lectures. High grit makes individuals work hard, have high standards, focus on fulfilling responsibilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of grit in students at Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya, based on gender and to plan a program to increase grit in students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The instrument used is a grit questionnaire from Angela Duckworth's grit grand theory. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with a total of 24 item statements distributed to 141 respondents. Sampling using random sampling. The results of this study show that in general the grit of students at the Muhammadyah Tasikmalaya University class of 2018 is in the medium category of 25.5% and in the high category of 74.5%. The description of grit based on gender shows the result (Sig.) 0.164 0.05, which means that there is no significant difference between male and female grit (persistence) at the Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things in our lives, one of which is the way we Social media is replaced by social media. Social media has becomes an integral part of a teenager. Because of course teenagers do their social activities with social media at this time. But social media certainly has a negative or positive impact. It depends on how wisely teenagers use social media. And this negative impact will certainly affect the mental health of teenagers. Even though during a pandemic, mental health is as important as physical health. Where adolescents in this period experience significant changes from psychology, physical, and social. So that requires them to constantly adapt to the environment. Therefore, of course it will be very dangerous if the mental health of adolescents is disturbed, because it will greatly affect their ability to adapt to the environment. This article discusses the analysis of the impact of social media during the pandemic on the mental health of the Darul Arqam Putri Islamic boarding school students who are currently still doing online learning at their respective homes. By using the literature study method and qualitative methods through interview techniques, it is hoped that it can provide a real picture of the mental health state of Darul Arqam students at this time.

Abstract

Depression is one of the most common mental disorders in the world and can have a huge impact on a person's daily life. Research has shown that depression can affect a person's general quality of life, as well as a person's ability to carry out daily activities such as working, studying, and getting along with other people. Depression can also hurt one's relationships with others, especially in terms of communication and social interaction. This study aims to present a detailed review of how depression can affect one's daily life and how one can overcome depression to improve one's quality of life. This article outlines the causes of depression, the signs and symptoms of depression, and the various treatments available for depression. The method used in this study is a literature review. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the level of depression and a person's quality of life. People suffering from depression tend to have a lower quality of life. In conclusion, depression can affect a person's daily life significantly and it is important to know the signs and symptoms of depression and how to deal with it to improve the quality of life of someone suffering from depression.

Abstract

After approximately 2 years of being closed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, currently, schools around the world are starting to open even with limited meetings. Online learning as the best alternative learning mode during the pandemic has caused a learning loss effect on students so that students must be able to adapt and have resilience when returning to the school environment to recover learning loss. The purpose of this article is to review the latest literature on recovery learning loss, including the strategies that schools, teachers, and parents should develop in developing student resilience in adapting to school new normal. The results of the literature review of the latest sources regarding recovery learning loss, there are several strategies that can be developed, involve the school community in school opening plans, ensure school health and safety protocols, ensure the psychological well-being of students, identify students who most need help, and improve pedagogical practice and teacher training.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and technology currently supports an increase in the number of social media users causing the emergence of cyberbullying as a new type of crime. Cyberbullying is a new type of bullying as a result of developments in information technology and technology whose acts of violence are carried out in the cyber world or the internet. Cyberbullying is often experienced by teenagers and most perpetrators of cyberbullying are generally teenagers their age. Victims who experience cyberbullying receive ridicule, insults, threats, or hacking. If this cyberbullying phenomenon is not addressed immediately, it will continue to erode the mental health of adolescents widely, so the attention of many parties is needed in overcoming this problem. Law in Indonesia through Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE) has regulated the actions and behavior of cyberbullying. Using the literature review method through a review of various literature, this article describes a study of the concepts, characteristics, and aspects of cyberbullying and its influence on adolescent mental health, especially TikTok users. The conclusion of the study results provides recommendations for the importance of increasing information and communication technology literacy, especially in the use of social media to prevent and minimize the occurrence of cyberbullying.

Abstract

The success of learning in school is determined by the ability to find and use effective and creative learning strategies. Creativity is not only an important element in solving problems but also an indicator that individuals have higher levels of excellence functions. Creativity character is one of the issues that has not been widely discussed and actualized in the context of education, especially in the focus of creating an effective learning process. A systematic review was used to examine previous research on creativity in the context of education. This study reviewed 10 scientific papers based on the analysis in the study. The results show that creativity has a specific model based on aspects of the definition, characteristics of creative subjects, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, a domain of creativity, and creative strategies in school. Creativity is also a very important character and has a particular model both for students and teachers and for the principals

Abstract

The living conditions since the COVID-19 pandemic have changed a lot of people's lives. Changes that occur suddenly, make it difficult for people to adapt and cause stress to trauma. Adolescents are one of the groups that are vulnerable to experiencing psychological impacts and mental health disorders during a pandemic because the psychological conditions of adolescents are still vulnerable, filled with conflict because of the many changes they face. This article tries to analyze the role of self-acceptance on mental health in adolescents during a pandemic by using the literature study method. If the teenager has accepted that the current condition is not a normal condition, then the teenager will be ready to adapt. So, if a teenager is able to accept himself and his current condition, he will be able to think positively and be mentally healthy.

Abstract

Abstract: Efikasi diri is a person's inner belief in his own ability to organize and take action in order to achieve the results he wants. This research is motivated by the low efikasi diri of students, as well as the appearance of behavior that shows a tendency towards academic anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between efikasi diri and the level of academic anxiety in class VIII students of SMPN 1 Singaparna in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and correlational methods. The population is 93 students, all members of the population are used as research samples so that generalizations with very small errors. The research data was obtained from the results of the distribution of instruments consisting of two variables, namely efikasi diri and academic anxiety which were distributed through the Google form. The results showed that (1) students' academic efikasi diri was in the medium category, namely 118 students (2) academic anxiety was in the moderate category, namely 111 students (3) the correlation category in this study was -0.524 with a significance level of 0.000 ( p0.05) indicates a fairly strong correlation in a negative direction, which means that the higher the level of efikasi diri, the higher the academic anxiety. Conversely, the lower the efikasi diri, the higher academic anxiety tends to be. Keywords: Seld Efficacy, Academic Anxiety, Correlational Study
