Abstract

Garbage is the solid residue of our daily activities and natural processes. Garbage has become a worldwide and Indonesian issue. Households generate the most garbage, followed by conventional markets. Food/vegetable trash accounts for 52% of Tanah Datar District waste, followed by plastic (17%) and paper/cardboard (13%). Nagari Tigo Jangko Traditional Market generates approximately 128,987 tons of garbage every year, with a total of 10,695 tons per month and 6,874 kg per day, with an average of 370.92 tons transported. The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors influencing garbage segregation at Nagari Tigo Jangko Traditional Market. This is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted during April until May of 2023. The research sample was all traders at Nagari Tigo Jangko Traditional Market, totaling 115 traders, the sampling technique used Total Sampling. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate with the Chi-Square test (α = 0.05). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was no relationship between knowledge (P = 0.121 > α = 0.05), education (P = 0.196 > α = 0.05) and those related to action (P = 0.00 <α = 0.05), facilities and infrastructure (P = 0.00 < α = 0.05) with waste segregation. It is suggested to the market to provide facilities and infrastructure such as trash bins which are divided into 2 types in each stall, as well as to impose sanctions on traders who litter.

Abstract

The food management facilities in Padang had not yet reached the target achievement of an 87% food hygiene and sanitation rate; they had only reached 72%. The food management facilities in the Pauh Primary Health Care working area were the lowest in food hygiene and sanitation standards in Padang. Contamination in food and beverages could become a means of disease transmission, one of which was through food handlers. The aim of this study was to determine the factors associated with the implementation of food hygiene and sanitation in restaurants within the Pauh Primary Health Care working area in Padang. This research was of a quantitative study with an analytical approach and a cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted from March to July 2023. The research population consisted of all 230 food handlers. A sample of 87 food handlers was taken using the accidental sampling technique, utilizing questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate analysis. The research findings showed that 48.3% of food handlers had a poor implementation of food hygiene and sanitation, 49.4% had low levels of knowledge, 49.4% had inadequate sanitation facilities, and 70.1% were poorly supervised by sanitation personnel. Based on bivariate analysis, there was a significant relationship between the availability of sanitation facilities (p=0.001) and the supervision of sanitation personnel (p=0.000) with the implementation of food hygiene and sanitation. Additionally, there was no relationship between the level of knowledge and the implementation of food hygiene and sanitation (p=0.589). The implementation of food hygiene and sanitation was influenced by several factors, namely the availability of sanitation facilities and the supervision of sanitation personnel. It was recommended for food handlers to practice personal hygiene, for restaurant owners to provide adequate sanitation facilities, and for the Pauh Primary Health Care to enhance supervision and increase awareness about food hygiene and sanitation.

As for the level of anxiety, 37.5% experienced severe anxiety. The results of the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.0001 < (α=0.05) which means that there is a significant relationship between family support and the level of anxiety of prisoners. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels in prisoners in Padang Class II B Correctional Institution. The patient's anxiety will have an impact on the hemodialysis intervention process in order to avoid this, it is vital to research elements that can alleviate anxiety, one of which is family support. The goal of this study was to see if there was a link between family support and anxiety levels in patients with chronic kidney failure during hemodialysis at Padang City Hospital in West Sumatra. A quantitative cross-sectional design was adopted in the investigation. The study was carried out at Padang City Hospital in West Sumatra. This study included 172 chronic kidney failure patients who had hemodialysis from November to January 2023. Purposive sampling was used, with a total sample size of 115 persons. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The data was analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods. According to the findings of the study, the highest level of anxiety was in the category of moderate anxiety (46.1%), followed by a lack of family support (56.5%). Following the Pearson Chi-Square statistical test, it yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p-value 0.05). This study revealed that there is a link between family support and anxiety levels in patients with chronic kidney failure having hemodialysis at Padang City Hospital in West Sumatra. Abstract

Disasters are highly detrimental events for both communities and their surrounding environments, thus necessitating the presence of disaster management to mitigate the impacts of such events. The objective of this research is to comprehensively and objectively understand the implementation of disaster management in the operational area of Lubuk Buaya Community Health Center, Padang City. The qualitative descriptive research method was employed by conducting in-depth interviews with 9 informants. This study was carried out from March to August 2023 at the Lubuk Buaya Community Health Center, utilizing research instruments such as interview guidelines, observation sheets, document analysis, and checklist tables. The data obtained from this research is analyzed using technique triangulation and source triangulation. The research findings indicate that the executing personnel, facilities and infrastructure, funding, policies, and processes within disaster management, covering pre-disaster, during-disaster, and post-disaster phases, are in accordance with the applicable regulations. However, an obstacle was identified concerning the absence of a Disaster Management Unit (DMU) and standardized operating procedures (SOPs), despite being aligned with the regulations. The implementation of disaster management can effectively mitigate the impact of a disaster occurring within the operational area of Lubuk Buaya Community Health Center. It is expected that Lubuk Buaya Community Health Center will establish a Disaster Management Unit, develop SOPs, and conduct disaster response training for all healthcare personnel.
