Abstract

Kurikulum 2013’s is actually a government program that has been rolled out since then. However, in practice, there are still many teachers who have difficulties to implement it, especially in the case of the implementation of authentic assessments. This was experienced by the teachers of MINU Curungrejo Kepanjen Malang Regency. On this basis, the program focused on helping a teacher to improve understanding of Curriculum 2013 implementation (K-13) that relates to assessment. Various assessments must be carried out, namely; optical assessment, assessment of learning outcomes, Assessment of mastery learning, class assessment, and attitude assessment. The community service method in this activity uses two phases; the School Action Research and the Outcome Mapping. The results of the activities were carried out for six weeks starting from August to September 2018. They showed that intensive training and mentoring through School Action Research (SAR) and Outcome Mapping (OM) can improve the ability of teachers to implement the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

Rice husk is an organic waste found in Indonesia as a raw material for paper products. The society has not yet realized that the material could also be a medium of Arabic calligraphy. This research-based community service action aims to introduce the benefits of rice husk as a raw material for making paper. To practice the production of paper from rice husk as the basis for making Arabic calligraphy art, so it is needed to make a business community of paper production from rice husk based on Arabic calligraphy. By using the Asset-Based Community Development method, the community mentoring process is carried out by helping the business community of rice husk paper based on Arabic calligraphy during the production to the marketing process. To control the quality of the art of Arabic calligraphy, the EL-KA Lampung calligraphy community was involved. The result shows that the Arabic calligraphy created by the assisted community has high artistic value with different textures from rice husk paper, then it was created a rice husk paper business community based on Arabic calligraphy.

Abstract

To increase the economic and social independence, various efforts were carried out, it includes by providing assistance to the community. This research aims to provide assistance to the community in the village of Jampet, Bojonegoro Regency, by utilizing local banana assets for making Jenang Jepipet as an original snack made from bananas from Jampet villages. The collaborative and partnership efforts built between the universities together with the Jampet villagers as a manifestation of the practice of university community engagement. By using Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, this research is a model of community assistance and empowerment to be more actively involved in utilizing all the potential and strength of assets owned by the community to create economic and social welfare. The results of this research, the community can take advantage of the opportunities and potential of their banana assets to be a product of Jenang made from banana as an icon of snacks from Jampet village.

Abstract

Indonesia is very rich in local wisdom, various types of plants can be processed into batik materials, one of which is tamarind tree which has not been widely known by many people. Tamarind seeds can be processed into a kind of cold wax, not hot wax. In the practice of traditional batik, this material is then used in community service activities with the aim of introducing how to make batik through batik workshop using cold wax easily and environmentally friendly. Participants in this workshop were foreign students and other people by using lectures method, batik demonstrations, and batik practices. To test the success of participants in batik knowledge and practice, the researcher used paired samples test. Based on the analysis, it can be said that there are differences in the knowledge of participants before and after community service activities. The aim of assistance was achieved because the transfer knowledge was successful, supported by the results of the trainer's questionnaire evaluation in terms of mastery of the material, clarity of material delivery, and appropriateness of time allocation.

Abstract

Nowadays, Indonesia faces a problem with infectious and non-infectious diseases. To implement a collaborative health program, this assistance activity involved the community, the General Health Advisory Council PP Muhammadiyah, and Ministry of Health, Indonesia to implement the Healthy Life Movement. Mentoring activities took place from July to November 2018 by using partnership method. The partnership facilitates Health Volunteers to implement HPH outside of Hospital and develop health promotion media for the implementation of HPH. The tools for promotion are posters, leaflets, manual fans, and guidelines for measuring nutrition. This health promotion is the implementation form of Healthy Life Movement for the community. HPH programs have been carried out in various areas, they are 6 Muhammadiyah Hospitals in 4 provinces of Indonesia

Abstract

The need for appropriate technology by the Indonesian people is unavoidable because of the availability of urban land which is increasingly limited. Consequently, the community is demanded to be creative. This study aims to develop a hydroponic plant business model through the use of information-based appropriate technology. The assisted subjects in the study were urban agricultural UMKM communities incorporated in the SERPIS KRPL in Wonocolo, Jemur Wonosari, City of Surabaya. By using the ADDIE method, model development was carried out for the community in the form of appropriate technology application through a series of systematic activities and can be measured quantitatively. Data instruments were used to determine the level of effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness of the products produced. The content expert validation test got a score of 81.29%, in testing the media and design expert validation got a score of 96.43%, while the individual trial scored 81.67%. The result was that website and social media developed have met the needs of the UMKM KRPL SERPIS community in facilitating the delivery of messages in carrying out their business processes, and they have fulfilled the needs of diverse online users.

Abstract

Today, efforts to build the entrepreneurship of society have begun to grow. Making Soy Sauce is an opportunity for home industry to increase the level of economy of the community. However, the obstacle faced by the community is the high price of soybeans and the condition of the people in the Putat Jaya village who do not have a fixed income and do not have the skills, so it is necessary to find another alternative to making the soy sauce. By using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, this study aims to provide training assistance to make soy sauce using cheaper ingredients, but it still has high quality. As a result of this assistance, the community was given counseling and twice practice to makie soy sauce from the basic ingredients of coconut water. The training in making coconut water sauce was successfully carried out, and the residents of Putat Jaya village were able to make good quality of soy sauce with savory taste, so that the community was able to become a soy sauce producer with coconut water and have a community of soy sauce makers.

Abstract

The development of UMKM in the process does not always go smoothly, sometimes the business also has obstacles, including being entangled by moneylenders. Therefore, the Assistant Team of Al ‘Ula Islamic Financial Institution of STAI Miftahul Ula Nglawak partnered with the NU LKK Nganjuk and Cooperative-UMKM Office of Nganjuk provides capital assistance without interest for MSME community through literacy programs. By using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, this study aims to provide financial management assistance for UMKM Community who were entangeled by moneylenders. The results of the study indicate social change as follows: (1) awareness increases the productivity and work ethic; (2) the emergence of financial management skills through financial literacy; (3) financial literacy, which is the emergence of financial inclusion, financial passport, and financial access issues; (4) the emergence of efforts optimization to empower financial management capabilities; (5) able to make strategic planning to improve the level of the business community; (6) the emergence of new assistants; (7) there is a partnership between the assistant team and stakeholders.

Abstract

Metro has a unit of business more than 99% in the small and medium micro-industry sector, including the type of fresh fish water production. Metro city produces fish ponds of 2,122.01 tons per-year in two sub-districts, namely north metro and central metro. The monitoring community activity is aiming to utilize the organized community. The community owns assets to materialize the independence of the economy through cultication of fish carp manufacture of feed alternatives program made from raw pulp out and taro leaf. The monitoring use ABCD (asset-based community development), so it can develop owned assets community aquaculture fish-arp to be self-sufficient in the economy and increase the social welfare. Results are strengthening of the aquaculture fish-carp capacity skills of the manufacture of alternatives feed and generate prosperity economics community.

Abstract

Village dignity is evident from the efforts of the village to mobilize all of its resources, including in strengthening the Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) sector. Strengthening MSMEs becomes important as an economic asset of the village, while at the same time reducing rural and urban inequality.This effort continues to be carried out and endeavored by the village of Gogodeso, Kanigoro sub-district, Blitar district. Since because they are aware of its great potential, unfortunately it has not been optimized. The vision of building a village changes. With the facilitation from team, it is optimized by first analyzing the potential situation of MSMEs through the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach based on Village-Driven Development, which means that it requires the active involvement of all village stakeholders. Followed by the alignment of vision and mission through the Building Village Workshop and finally through assistance in marketing through packaging branding as part of the problems of SMEs so far. These three steps are part of an effort to turn Gogodesa village into the MSME Goddess (MSME-based Tourism Village). The result is that the community who initially wanted to build an agriculture-based village changed and agreed to build an MSME-based village.
