Abstract

Background : Entrepreneurship in nursing has enormous and promising opportunities for a nurse. It includes palliative care / home care, nursing counseling, caregiver training, physiotherapy services and others. However, the development of entrepreneurship in nursing still faces several obstacles.Purpose The aim of this study was to explore the development of entrepreneurship in nursing.Method The method used in this study was literature review. Several data bases including Google schoolar, Garuda, National Library, DOAJ, PubMed, Sciencedirect, and Proquest were used. Keywords were chosenin accordance with MESH (Medical Subject Heading), including “kewirausahaan keperawatan”, “hambatan kewirausahaan keperawatan”,"mahasiswa keperawatan", "nursing entrepreneurship", "nursing entrepreneurial", "barrier of nursing entrepreneur", "opportunities of nursing entrepreneur”, and “nursing student” in April 2020. Based on the search results there were 4 national and 4 international articles related to the topic and match the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings Findings from 8 articles indicated that obstacles faced by entrepreneur nurses were more due to a lack of entrepreneurial knowledge, experience, and skills. There are several ways to overcome obstacles that occur in nursing entrepreneurship, namely: increasing entrepreneurial knowledge and experience, identifying opportunities via internet or social media, and always interacting among fellow entrepreneurs, patients and the community to find opportunities that have never been found before. The solution to develop nursing entrepreneurship is to increase the interest, knowledge, skills, training and experience of nursing entrepreneurs. This research is expected to be used as an evaluation of entrepreneurship learning and nursing entrepreneurship development programs. Conclusion In conclusion, the development of nursing entrepreneurship is still facing some obstacles that need to be overcome. The main key lies in increasing knowledge, interests and skills through entrepreneurial training and education.

Abstract

Public Health Nursing (Perkesmas) is one of the health centers' efforts that supports the improvement of public health status by integrating nursing knowledge/practice with public health through the support of active community participation. Perkesmas service activities can be carried out inside and outside the Puskesmas building. Nurses provide nursing care for individuals who come to the puskesmas, provide family nursing care and nursing care for special groups/health-prone groups in the Perkesmas target area (home visits to vulnerable families). The problem for partners who are appointed in this community service program is the Documentation of Individual Nursing Care in the Perkesmas program which is less than optimal. This program offers solutions that are expected to help solve partner problems. The method used is to develop an application system in the documentation of individual nursing care in the health care program. As a result of this community service program, partners have an application system that will make it easier for community health workers in documenting individual nursing care in the community health program. The results of this program will also be published in accredited national or international journals.

Abstract

Hypertension is a significant health issue among the elderly and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and other disorders. Factors such as unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity, stress, hormonal imbalance, and genetic predisposition significantly increase the risk of hypertension in the elderly. Integrated management, including regular blood pressure monitoring, appropriate pharmacological therapy, and an emphasis on healthy lifestyle changes, has proven to be effective in controlling and preventing complications of hypertension in the elderly population. The objectives of this activity are (1) to increase the knowledge and understanding of the community, especially the elderly, about hypertension and food management, and (2) to enhance the elderly's awareness of the importance of physical activity in maintaining their health. The results of the evaluation involving 20 participants showed an improvement in knowledge about hypertension, food management, and physical activity, and participants were motivated to prevent hypertension through proper food management and exercise.
