Abstract

The increasing use of portable electronic equipment uses more and more lithium-ion batteries. Issues that occur from increased use of the battery pose problems such as less capacity, long charging time, and overcharging protection. Some methods of lithium-ion battery charging techniques are commonly used such as Constan Voltage (CV), Constan Current (CC), CC-CV, and reflex charging methods. In this study the fast charging Lithium-ion battery technique uses fuzzy logic to control temperature and voltage during battery charging using the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Charging method, the fuzification process used Is Mamdani method with Center Of Gravity (COG) Defuzzification method. It is expected to accelerate the charging without making the battery temperature exceed the maximum limit, as well as the overcharging. The filling results using this fast charger using the fuzzy logic proved to accelerate charging and protect the occurrence of overcharging the battery.

Abstract

Hydropower is considered to be one of important renewable energy sources. Renewable energy is the second-largest contributor to global electricity production after fossil fuel. Hydropower generation presents several advantages over most other sources of electrical power. It includes a high level of reliability, proven technology, high efficiency (about 90%), very low operating and maintenance costs, flexibility and large storage capacity. Based on the types of installation, hydropower can be categorized as; impoundment, diversion, and pump storage, and based on the turbine types can it be classified as reaction and impulse systems. Previous research gives the results of the initial survey, concluding that there are two rivers that have the potential to become a micro or mini-hydro generator. Way Laai and Way Lami. So, we need to know what is turbines type to suit both of river Way Laai and Way Lami. We used the same method with other research that used TURBNPRO software for helping in the design of Turbines. The simulation result gives one alternative to the right turbine design for Way Laai is the orientation vertical of 6 jet Pelton with a peak efficiency of 89.9%. The right alternative turbine design for Way Lami is the vertical orientation Axial turbine/ propeller design with a peak efficiency of 93.3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a review of energy audits in the lighting systems of building E and F of the Cilacap State Polytechnic. The results of the calculation of energy audits in lighting can be used as a guideline to make efficiency in the use of electrical energy. The initial step taken in this study was to look for primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by making direct measurements in all building rooms E and F. Secondary data obtained from relevant agencies such as the Cilacap State Polytechnic building data; energy demand data from the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office; and data on electricity consumption from the National Electricity Company (PLN). The data is then processed to obtain the value of Energy Use Intensity (IKE) and can also be used as a guide for carrying out measures in energy efficiency. Based on the calculation and processing of the data obtained, the energy consumption of buildings E and F is 3,259.82 kWh/month and 3,650.96 kWh/month. The results of the energy audit calculations performed on the building lighting systems E and F with a building area of ??287 m2 and 399 m2 have a building IKE value of 11.37 kWh/ m2/month and 9.16 kWh/m2/month. Based on the IKE criteria index, it was found that building E and F of the State Polytechnicof Cilacap were included in the criteria of efficiency.

Abstract

The South Cilacap district is one of the area in Cilacap regency with the highest population density and the most prone area of tsunami disaster. Unfortunately, most of the main roads in South Cilacap district is parallel to the coastline. This condition will slow down the evacuation of residents to safe locations. In 2006 and 2017, Cilacap regency has experienced several earthquake that have a potential of a tsunami. It caused people to panic and tended to choose the evacuation route through the main roads without considering the route became congested and resulted in total congestion. Based on these conditions, a system that contains information about the shortest evacuation route that should be taken by the residents to a safe location is needed. The shortest evacuation route is determined using MATLAB software. The simulations was creating on MATLAB, there is a starting vertexes as a starting location or location of a tsunami prone area and a finish vertexes as a destination location or a safe location from a tsunami disaster. By using MATLAB software, it can simulate the shortest path for tsunami evacuation in the South Cilacap district area along with the distance and graphic images.

Abstract

Data logging monitoring system merupakan sebuah alat yang berfungsi untuk memantau hasil keluaran panel surya berupa tegangan dan arus berdasarkan waktu dan suhu. Alat ini menggunakan Arduino Uno sebagai mikrokontroler untuk memantau atau memproses data yang dihasilkan panel surya. Sensor yang digunakan adalah sensor tegangan, sensor arus dan sensor suhu. Data yang dihasikan akan secara otomatis tersimpan pada SD Card. Data yang dihasilkan dan disimpan pada SD Card akan diubah menggunakan aplikasi PLX-DAQ agar dapat dibaca dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Sementara, Panel surya yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memiliki kapasitas sebesar 100 Wp. Agar diperoleh arus maksimal maka digunakan beban sebesar 6 Watt. Sedangkan, kapasitas aki yang digunakan adalah 5 Ah. Waktu yang dihasilkan selama proses pengecasan aki dibandingkan dengan daya yang dihasilkan oleh panel surya adalah 4,43 jam. Hasilnya, dalam keadaan aki penuh dapat menyuplai energi listrik selama 10 jam dengan beban 6 Watt.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi, teknik identifikasi suara manusia berdasarkan jenis kelamin sangat diperlukan untuk oleh beberapa pihak terutama dibidang pendidikan. Parameter utama dalam membedakan suara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah frekuensi dari sampel pengucapan satu kata yang sama dengan durasi waktu dan tekanan yang sama. Untuk memudahkan hal tersebut, maka dirancanglah sebuah aplikasi pembeda suara laki-laki dan perempuan berbasis matlab dan hasilnya akan ditingkatkan performansinya dengan metode fuzzy logic. Berdasarkan pengujian aplikasi tersebut, dari 20 sampel suara manusia yang diujikan, ada 1 sample suara yang sulit teridentifikasi, sehingga tingkat keakuratannya hanya 95%. Namun dengan menggunakan metode fuzzy logic, 1 sample suara tersebut dapat diklasifikasikan berupa jenis suara perempuan, sehingga performansi aplikasi pembeda suara laki-laki dan perempuan meningkat menjadi 100%. Hasil akhir penelitian ini diperoleh range frekuensi sinyal suara laki-laki 81.93 Hz sampai 233.3 Hz sedangkan range frekuensi sinyal suara perempuan 316.9 Hz sampai 575.5 Hz.

Abstract

This study proposes the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize the placement of Distributed Generation (DG) on the 20kV distribution system of Pujon feeder, which has 117 buses with the total distribution line length of 59.65 kilometers, with the aim to reduce power losses. In addition, PSO has also been used to determine the capacity of the DG. The JAYA algorithm is used as comparison. It has been proven that the proposed algorithm as well as the comparison algorithm succeeded in determining the optimum location and the capacity of DG to be installed
