Abstract

A kiai had a high social position and was a central figure in a society, especially in Tieng village because of his broad understanding of religion and high spirituality. The purpose of this research was to determine the role of the kiai in Tieng Village, Kejajar, Wonosobo. This research method was a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, documentation. While the data sources were primary data and secondary data. The analysis technique used was data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of the research showed that a kiai in Tieng Village had been made a central figure having two important roles, namely as a teacher, as a leader, and as a role model (uswatun khasanah) for the community.

Abstract

This study discussed the practice of hadith in daily life through activities at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ali Maksum Krapyak Yogyakarta. This study aimed to explain what the background of Monday infaq activities and how the activities were carried out. This study was a qualitative research using a descriptive study approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The results showed that the development of students' character on religious values at MTS Ali Maksum through the Monday infaq habituation program was carried out in the form of routine activities every Monday. With this Monday infaq routine activity, students could apply existing values in everyday life according to the practice of hadith which forms the basis of the program.

Abstract

There were constant changes in Islamic education. Education had felt generations since the early centuries of Islam and continues to do so today. To meet the demands of society at that time, the concept of Islamic education continued to experience renewal. From the period of the Companions of the Prophet to the 20th century, this study seeked to examine the literature on the renewal of the Islamic renewal thought model. This study method used literature research by examining several primary and secondary sources. The Tathbiqi educational model was where the Islamic education model which was known since the reign of the caliph Abu Bakar as a Shia began. The renewal lasted until the tajdidi period, when Muhammad Abduh and Rashid Ridha pioneered the reform of Islamic education.

Abstract

Cultural diversity was a necessity that Allah SWT had laid out on earth, including Indonesia. Therefore, this diversity needed to be maintained by all elements of the nation. The Religious Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia through the Independent Curriculum policy seeked to strengthen religious moderation in educational institutions. Library research (library research) was chosen in this study to examine the policy of strengthening religious moderation in the Madrasah Independent Curriculum. The results of this study indicated that strengthening religious moderation in the 2013 curriculum was still in the form of a hidden curriculum so that it needed to be developed into a curriculum in the independent curriculum. In the independent learning curriculum policy of the Ministry of Religion, strengthening religious moderation was the obligation of every school in the rahmatan lil 'alamin Student Profile strengthening project. Strengthening religious moderation through this project needed to be implemented in educational institutions.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the teacher role of Islamic Education (PAI) in familiarizing students to pray in congregation. This research type was descriptive analytic. Location and research objects located at SMP Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung. The population of 366 students and 100 samples. The questionnaire showed that 65% argued that the teacher was very instrumental in providing an example, 26% showed a role, 9% showed a lack of role and 0%. The role of PAI teachers through habituation was 59% very important, 33% played a role, 8% of people lack a role, and 0% did not play a role. The role of PAI teachers through advice was very often 58%, often 23%, sometimes 19%, and never 0%. While the role of PAI teachers in the attention/supervision method showd 64% very often, 22% often, sometimes 14%, and 0% never.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze one of the programs as an innovation from Al-Quran Islamic Boarding School of Nurul Ulum Kretek Bantul. The program was a language program, namely Arabic and English. The method used in this research was a qualitative method. The sources used as reference for analysis were divided into two, namely primary sources and secondary sources. The language program at Al-Quran Islamic Boarding School of Nurul Ulum Kretek Bantul was an important program to carry out. Both Arabic and English had their own urgency for students who were also santri. Both in the field of education and in the field of work. In the ongoing process of this language development program, there were still shortcomings so further evaluation as needed. The problems faced by the Al-Quran Islamic Boarding School of Nurul Ulum Kretek Bantul in this development program included the lack of expert teaching staff in the field of language and the absence of special learning modules at each grade level.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the application of the concept map method, the impact of the concept map method, as well as the obstacles that existed in implementing the concept map method for class VIII at MTs Bulus Pesantren Kebumen. This research used descriptive qualitative research. This research used data collection techniques with interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the research showed that there were many ways to apply the concept map method at MTs Buluspesantren. The application of the concept map method in SKI learning made students' enthusiasm in the learning process increase. It could be seen from the activeness of students in participating in the learning process. The obstacles that existed in using the concept map method could be overcome by teachers adapting and understanding the characters of their students, so that the learning process could take place better.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the process of learning Mathematics for class IV MI Ma'had Islami from the perspective of Jean Piaget's theory. This research used qualitative methods, data collection was done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained were that the learning of Mathematics in this school entered the concrete operational stage of the child. At this concrete operational stage, students began  to think logically about concrete events and clarify objects into different forms. Learning Mathematics for class IV MI Ma'had Islami Kotagede used memorizing and writing methods. If only using the memorization method, students were less able to fully understand the material delivered by the teacher. For this reason, in learning Mathematics in class, students were given the freedom to choose what method they like in learning to facilitate understanding of the material presented by the teacher.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the role of the principal in increasing the disciplined character of educators in Islamic boarding schools at Takhassus Al-Qur'an Elementary School. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews, observations and written notes. Data examination techniques were divided into several stages, including: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that: 1) The character of discipline possessed by educators was so important as an example where exemplary in discipline was needed, discipline was able to improve student achievement, together with students optimizing discipline as the implementation of the Al-Qur'an values practice. 2) The role of the school principal in increasing the disciplined character of teaching staff in Islamic boarding schools at Takhassus Al-Qur'an Elementary School included the role in the recruitment process of teaching staff so that educators with disciplined character were recruited, the role as role models in applying discipline, the role in understanding the description of their duties so that the effectiveness of carrying out each task could be optimal, the role in understanding the regulations made by the previous headmaster and the role in understanding the strengths and weaknesses possessed by the school.

Abstract

Epistemology was a branch of philosophy that discussed how sources of knowledge could be trusted to be true. In the world of Sufism knowledge was used as a source of truth. One of the figures who was familiar with Sufism is al-Jili who had the concept of "human being". This research method used library research, researchers would collect various information through various literature found, such as books, journals, and other literature. The result of the research was that human's spiritual journey would lead him to the pinnacle of truth. 'ilm al-yaqin, Second, 'ayn al-Yaqin, Third, haqq al-yaqin, in this phase humans would be illuminated by God's names, God's attributes and God's substances. While active learning was a learning in the classroom that focused on students to be active in seeking and receiving information through the various experiences they encountered.
