Jurnal Pengabdian Mitra Masyarakat (JURPAMMAS) menitikberatkan pada penerbitan artikel hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan penelitian diaplikasikan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang memiliki multidisiplin ilmu baik merupakan produk maupun metode. Abstract

Anemia is the most common nutritional problem in Indonesia. In pregnant women, anemia can increase the number of complications in childbirth and pregnancy. The purpose of this study is to figuring out   pregnant women knowledge about anemia in pregnancy. The methods of this study is descriptive study. The measurement used by this study was questionnaires. The population represents all the pregnant women in the village of Percut district Deli Serdang with study sample are 72 respondents. The results of this study, there are 73,6% pregnant women having good knowledge of the understanding of anemia ,66,7% pregnant women having good knowledge of the causes of anemia, 62,5% pregnant women having good knowledge of the symptoms of anemia are, 70,8% having good knowledge of the impact of anemia, and 68,1% pregnant women having a good knowledge of the prevention of anemia.

Abstract

North Pelawi Village is one of the villages located in Babalan District, Langkat Regency. Independent enterprises that make tofu are micro, small and medium enterprises that are still active in carrying out activities to produce a tofu product using vinegar at a relatively low cost. The impact of using vinegar for the manufacture of tofu, where the liquid waste can cause environmental pollution because the water flowing in the sewers has a very strong smell, especially if the volume of liquid waste is large, of course it will make people restless and disturb the surrounding environment and the effect of vinegar can cause stomach acid which can bring disease on our bodies. The implementation of the activities is carried out by theoretical and lecture methods (socialization) and the implementation method in which the above student activities are accompanied by DPL lecturers to help the community of North Pelawi Village. The results of the KKN-T activities related to tofu making are carried out through socialization in which it is hoped that the next tofu production must be switched from the use of vinegar to the use of nigarin sea water with the consequence of avoiding environmental pollution and avoiding the tendency of stomach acid and avoiding the tendency of stomach acid. The socialization activity of making tofu has benefits, namely it can increase public knowledge.

Abstract

The 21st century, teachers as educators must be responsive to change. One crucial aspect for an educator is how a teacher responds to changes through small innovations in their workplace..The Community Learning Workshop 1 of the School Empowerment Program (PSP) Generation 3 in Simalungun Regency convened at SDN 091440 Manik Hataran, Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, engaging 20 teachers. This workshop served multiple objectives: educating attendees on pertinent learning, knowledge, and teaching practices; fostering collaborative support among practitioners; particularly assisting novice members to seamlessly integrate into the community; and mentoring them in their tasks. Furthermore, it encouraged skill dissemination and growth among members through discussions and practical teaching practices. The workshop exemplified a concerted effort to enhance educational practices in Simalungun Regency, emphasizing the importance of collaborative learning and community support in advancing education.

Abstract

Qur'an is the guide of Muslims in the world and is obliged for Muslims to learn to read the Qur'an properly and correctly in accordance with the rules of tajwid science. Students should have read the Qur'an since childhood because there are so many who cannot read the Qur'an. The ability to read the Qur'an is very important for Muslims, because it is a guide for their lives. South Pelawi Village is a partner village of UISU which is known as an area where almost 90% of the people are Muslims. However, there are still many people, both children and adults, who do not understand and are fluent in reading the Qur'an. One of the learnings of reading the Qur'an is the IQRO method, the IQRO method is a method of reading the Qur'an that emphasizes directly on reading practice. As for the Iqra guidebook consisting of 6 Volumes starting from a simple level, step by step to a perfect level, this method is very suitable to be applied for early childhood (children aged 3 years).  This service activity is one of the derivatives of the 2022 UISU KKNT work program which will be held on July 12 – August 19, 2022. This activity was carried out as many as 12 meetings from July 18 to August 10, 2022. From the activities that have been carried out, it was found that residents learned to experience an increase in the ability to read and write the Qur'an. This proves the effectiveness of the IQRO method used in the eradication of Qur'anic illiteracy. Because only with approximately 1 month with an effective period of learning 12 meetings, 87% have fluently read the Qur'an. Only 13% of citizens are learning that has not been smooth.

Abstract

Processed products of palm sap are cooked for a certain duration of time to produce brown sugar. In general, the community still uses coconut/aren sap water as a raw material for making brown sugar, but currently residents of Pasar Eight village in Air Putih sub-district have made brown sugar using waste palm stems to get the sap water and then mix it with white sugar. The purpose of community service is to increase online marketing and provide education on making brown sugar that is correct and good for health. Brown sugar has its own advantages, but improper processing can harm health in order to gain unilateral benefits. Based on the results of observations when visiting brown sugar craftsmen (partners), information was obtained that the marketing of palm sugar palm sap was carried out online through social media face book and product orders had reached the Pekanbaru area, although not routinely. Therefore community service is carried out by providing outreach to brown sugar craftsmen in order to expand the marketing network which will increase sales, production and profits so as to open jobs for the community. The service method is carried out by observing and interviewing and outreach. It is hoped that the results of PkM activities can increase the knowledge of brown sugar craftsmen about online brown sugar marketing and the quality of brown sugar production and hygiene.

Abstract

Sampah yang digunakan sampah tipe organik berupa daun basah serta batok kelapa. Alat yang digunakan membakar sampah adalah bentuk tungku pembakaran tertutup , alat pengepres briket arang, alat penyaring ukuran 50 mesh. Metode kegiatan penyuluhan kepada peserta dan praktek di lapangan. Untuk kegiatan penyuluhan dipaparkan mengenai pemanfaatan sampah untuk menghasilkan arang sehat melibatkan beberapa dosen UISU, para warga dan perangkat desa. Hasil pembakaran daun kering dan batok kelapa masing-masing menghasilkan serpihan arang kemudian ditumbuk sampai halus, disaring dengan saringan 50 mesh terlebih dahulu selanjutnya bubuk halus daun kering dan batok kelapa (masing-masing 1 kg) dicampur dengan cairan kanji (2 ons kanji +2 l air diaduk dan dimasak hingga matang jadi cairan) dan diaduk hingga merata.    Campuran briket daun kering dan batok kelapa yang sudah homogen dimasukkan kedalam cetakan alat pengepres. Briket arang hasil cetakan dikeringkan hari agar dapat digunakan sebagai bahan bakar. Dengan harapan,  kegiatan ini yang merupakan bagian program dari lembaga pengabdian kepada masyarakat UISU yang mana dapat dilakukan dengan sistem pengelolaan sampah secara mandiri berbasis masyarakat dengan tujuan menjadikan sampah sebagai sumber daya yang dapat menghasilkan suatu produk bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dengan konsekuensi mereduksi biaya masyarakat dalam konsumsi arang sehat dan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat melalui home industri.

Abstract

Humans are created as social beings, humans cannot live alone, because humans need interaction with one another. Humans must obey the rules of social norms. There are several definitions of Social Beings. According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary, Social Beings are humans who have reciprocal relationships with other humans. Meanwhile, according to DR. Elly M. Setiadi, explained that Social Beings are beings who in their lives cannot escape the influence of others. Likewise, a child needs the role of his parents as a place of protection, education, and supervision.  According to Suryono Sukanto (1985, p 268), explains that the role is a very dynamic position in aspects of life. A person has carried out his rights and obligations in carrying out a role based on his position in society. Meanwhile, according to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (2005, p 802),   parents have the meaning of biological father or biological mother, some are interpreted as older people because of their intelligence,  intelligence or expertise. The role of parents is very important in a child's life. Islam teaches that there are several things related to the role of parents in providing children's rights.

Abstract

This community service is conducted in the village village/Nagori Bahjoga District Java Maraja Bah Jambi Simalungun District. The purpose of this community service in general is to help advance the business of cattle farming of the villagers. This activity is carried out by conducting a business feasibility study on livestock business activities that have been conducted so far by cattle farmers in the Village / Nagori Bahjoga.

Abstract

Education is the spearhead of the success of education in Indonesia, this is in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, that development for the next 5 years will prioritize the development of Indonesian human resources, one of which is educators/teachers. The results of the Teacher Competency Test still show that many teachers in Indonesia do not yet have the minimum competencies needed to facilitate quality learning. This condition motivated the Langkat District Education Office to work together with Permata Phsyco Consultant to collaborate in an effort to improve the quality of teacher resources through competence mastery of public elementary and junior high school teachers. The capacity and competency development training activities for public elementary and junior high school teachers within the Langkat District Education Office were attended by 1,200 participants. The material provided is Pedagogic Professional Competence and Personality Social Competence, this is in accordance with the provisions of UURI Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. Based on the results of the reflections carried out by each resource person from the material components of the activity, the results of the participant's portfolio through reflection at the end of the activity, obtained an  adequate result of 79.03. While the results of the activeness of the participants as measured by willingness to ask questions, brainstorming, courage to go ahead and others reached a value of 85.25. This means that the participants are active carefully with full attention to the entire series of material provided by the resource person so as to obtain satisfactory results.

Abstract

The problems Universitas Harapan Medan adalah sebuah perguruan tinggi swasta di provinsi sumatera utara, UNHAR berdiri tahun 2017. PTS ini memiliki empat Fakultas yakni fakultas Bahasa dan komunikasi,Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Fakultas Teknik dan Komputer, dan Fakultas Hukum. Mitra sasaran pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Bahasa Dan Komunikasi, yang secara umum mahasiswa belum begitu memahami tentang manfaat penggunaan pupuk organik sehingga perlunya melakukan edukasi terhadap bagaimana manfaat pupuk organik sehingga berdampak kepada kelestarian lingkungan. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ; kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berjudul Sosialisasi dan Pendampingan pemanfaat penggunaan pupuk organik telah dilaksanakan dengan hasil kegiatan yaitu edukasi dan wawasan pada peserta untuk meningkatkan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dan menarik dalam pengenalan langkah dan cara penggunaan pupuk organik. kegiatan edukasi tersebut dapat meningkatkan serta menerapkan metode pengenalan beberapa jenis pupuk organik yang banyak manfaatnya untuk kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan jangka panjang. kegiatan ini dapat menumbuhkembangkan jiwa kewirausahaan pada peserta yaitu para mahasiswa di universitas harapan.
