Abstract

The paper discusses the foundational role of al-Quran and Prophetic narrations (al-hadith) in Islamic intellectual history and its moral-legal tradition. It looks into the impact of its discursive religious-spiritual ideal and teaching and its historical significance in developing and fulfilling its fundamental role and social obligation in delivering and justifying the principle of morality and fairness, contributing to medieval civilization and the formation of higher ethical-legal framework, and its state-of-the-art manifestation as set forth in the tafsir of Risalah al-Nur by Said Nursi. The study is based on library research using historical and qualitative approaches and documentation technique. The finding shows that the position of al-Quran and hadith was vital in informing and shaping the historical concept and understanding and paradigm of tawhid and in reinforcing the religious belief and practice and spiritual consciousness of the ummah. In the context of modern commentary, its philosophical ideas and interpretation were brought forth by Said Nursi in Risalah al-Nur that contextualize its discursive history and outline its religious and scientific significance and transcendental values and its role in the current debates of the philosophy of science, revelation, and scripture.

Abstract

Imam Fakhruddin al-Razi, whose capacity and capabilities as a mufassir were still debated even today, has made researchers interested in studying his works. In particular, his commentary entitled Mafatihul Ghaib received much attention and was called a phenomenal work because of its different contents from other commentary books. Mafatihul Ghaib is a book of scientific interpretation that was born from Islamic thought. This is what is interesting for researchers to examine the epistemology of Imam al-Razi's interpretation more deeply. So that researchers can find out how the procedures, or techniques used by Imam al-Razi in producing his commentary. This type of research is completely library research (library research) taking data from the literature that has something to do with the research theme. The analysis technique in this paper uses a content analysis model by exploring and analyzing the interpretation of Imam al-Razi in the book Mafatihul Ghaib

Abstract

Poverty is a social economic problem throughout the history of mankind. Even in Islam poverty/poverty can lead to disbelief, therefore it needs to get serious treatment from various parties. Islam offers several ways and efforts to alleviate poverty which are broadly divided into three, namely: (1) Self-made efforts; (2) The method pursued by other people/society; (3) The method pursued by the government. By using a qualitative descriptive method, this study tries to explain the concept of poverty and ways of reducing poverty from an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

The Qur'an is believed to have a scientific nature, what is in the Qur'an is a scientific sign, not the scientific nature itself which is inherent in the Qur'an. The form of scientific cues of the Qur'an can be seen from a medical aspect. The theory and practice of health which was originally an assumption and then clinically examined in various laboratories, in fact found its relevance to the theories initiated by the Qur'an. Like the healing process practiced by the Naqsabandiyah Tariqah, this tariqa uses verses from the Al-Qur'an as a means to cure a disease. By combining the verses of the Qur'an with natural ingredients. This type of research is completely library research (library research) taking data from the literature that has something to do with the research theme. The analysis technique in this paper uses a content analysis model by exploring and analyzing the methods of treatment of the Tariqat Naqsabandiyah, especially those in West Sumatra.

Abstract

To reveal the inner (esoteric) meaning of the verses of the Qur'an, a mufassir uses different methods and patterns. Among them is Imam Al-Alusi, a mufassir who comes from the Alus, Kurkh, Baghdad, Iraq area. Ruh Al Ma'ani is a work of his exegesis which not only explains the meaning of the (exoteric) text of the Qur'an but is also full of esoteric meanings of the Qur'an, this of course gives its own color to the method and style of its interpretation. This type of research is library research which has a primary data source of the book of interpretations of Ruh al-Ma'ani and other literature related to the issues in this discussion. From the study that the writer has done, the writer concludes that the method used by Imam al-Alusi in his commentary is tahlili. While the style used in interpreting the Qur'an is isyari.

In addition, to know the relevance of Sheikh Nawawi Al-Bantani's interpretation in Tafsir Marāh Labid, Prof. Dr. Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhār, and Prof. Dr. M. Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misbāh about the responsibility of providing for the family seen from QS. An-Nisa verse 34 with the present age.Research on dTafsir QS. Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misbāh) in QS. An-Nisa verse 34, it is the husband who is responsible for making a living in the family. This is because the husband acts as the leader or head of the household. Interpretation (Sheikh Nawawi Al-Bantani in Tafsir Marāh Labid, Prof. Dr. Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhār, and Prof. Dr. M. Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misbāh) in QS. An-Nisa verse 34 related to the responsibility of the breadwinner, is still relevant today.
