Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam, baik dari bidang pertanian maupun peternakan. Namun seiring meningkatnya jumlah penduduk dan taraf hidup masyarakat, memerlukan lebih banyak energi untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya. Kebutuhan energi sebenarnya tidak lain adalah energi yang dibutuhkan untuk menghasilkan dan mendistribusikan secara merata sarana-sarana pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok manusia. Pemakaian bahan bakar fosil (minyak dan batubara) secara besar-besaran sebagai penyedia sumber daya energi telah terbukti ikut menambah beratnya pencemaran lingkungan

Abstract

Sampai saat ini, masih banyak kendala yang dihadapi peternak broiler di Indonesia. Indonesia memiliki suhu dan kelembapan tinggi yang mempengaruhi perkembangbiakan mikroorganisme seperti bakteri, virus dan mikroorganisme pathogen lainnya yang berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan broiler. banyak peternak menggunakan antibiotik (Antibiotic Growt Promotor/AGP) sebagai upaya melindungi ternak dari penyakit dan melindungi kerusakan pakan sekaligus mempercepat pertumbuhan ternak. Prinsip mekanisme kerja antibiotik adalah mengurangi populasi bakteri di dalam saluran pencernaan sehingga meningkatkan penyerapan zat makanan untuk memacu pertumbuhan ternak. Pemakaian antibiotik pada ternak dapat menyebabkan resisten bakteri patogen yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan konsumennya

Abstract

Pembiasaan makan merupakan salah satu langkah dalam usaha domestikasi yang penting untuk langkah awal ikan di budidayakan. Domestikasi adalah upaya menjinakan dan mengadaptasi ikan dari kehidupan liar (habitat asli) kelingkungan budidaya kerusakan lingkungan, pencemaran, perubahan iklim global, introduksi spesies ikan asing dan teknik penangkapan yang tidak ramah lingkungan (destructive fishing).

Abstract

Alat tangkap yang digunakan untuk menangkap ikan relo terus mengalami perkembangan. Jenis alat tangkap yang digunakan pada masa dahulu yaitu anco, kemudian saat ini masyarakat menggunakan bagan yang dikenal dengan nama cangkul padang. Bagan merupakan jenis alat tangkap ikan yang masuk dalam kategori lift net. Keberadaan cangkul padang di perairan Danau Laut Tawar memberi dampak negatif karena target alat tangkap ini adalah ikan endemik (ikan depik) dan ikan relo serta penangkapanya yang tidak selektif. Intensitas penangkapan yang tinggi menyebabkan tekanan terhadap populasi ikan relo di Danau Laut Tawar.

Abstract

Kondisi demikian diperlukan upaya untuk mencari pakan sumber protein lain sebagai alternatif bungkil kedelai pada ransum unggas. Bahan pakan tersebut disyaratkan tersedia secara kontinyu, produksinya terkonsentrasi pada suatu tempat dan secara sosial dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Salah satu bahan pakan tersebut adalah bungkil inti sawit (palm kernel meal) yang merupakan hasil samping agroindustri pengolahan inti sawit (kernel meal) menjadi minyak sawit (palm kernel oil)

Abstract

The background of this research is that vertiqua is considered to have high production costs and small profits. Therefore, a business analysis is needed to increase the effectiveness of the fish farming business using the vertiqua system. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aquaculture business using the vertiqua system including capital and profit obtained. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive explanations. The results of the research that has been done show that the R / C Ratio value obtained is 1.66, meaning that every 1 cycle cost expenditure will get 1.66 revenue. Koi fish farming using the vertiqua system is said to be feasible to continue because the R / C Ratio value is 1. The JWPM value with the calculation of 8 cycles for 1 year is 1.4, meaning that it takes 2 months and 2 days for the capital to return. Based on the business analysis conducted, the production of koi fish seeds using the upper biofical filter vertiqua system can be said to be feasible and has the potential to be further developed, because it can provide good profits with a good JWPM. In addition, cultivation using the upper biofical filter vertiqua system is very efficient in providing care for koi fish cultivation.

Abstract

Asnan Ridoanrisna. Efficiency Of Pakcoy Plants (Brassica Rapa) In Maintaining Water Quality To Support The Survival Rate Of Tilapia. Under Guidance By Robin And Novita Mz. Tilapia is a freshwater fish commodity with high economic value. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), tilapia exports reached 12.29 thousand tons with a value of USD 78.44 million. Tilapia farming faces the risk of mortality which can lead to economic losses, one of which is caused by organic pollution. To address this issue, this research employs phytoremediation methods with varying plant densities to improve water quality and tilapia survival. The study was conducted with four treatments: A75 (plant density 75% of the aquarium surface area), A50 (50%), A25 (25%), and A0 (no plants), using an aquarium size of 60 x 30 x 50 cm³. Each treatment received chicken manure at 1.8 grams per aquarium and 40 tilapia fish per aquarium. Observations were made over 15 days in March 2023, measuring physical and chemical water parameters including DO, pH, TDS, temperature, and ammonia, as well as calculating the survival rate of tilapia. Using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the study found that treatment A75 achieved the highest survival rate at 62.5%. This result indicates that higher plant density in the phytoremediation method is more effective in maintaining water quality and supporting tilapia survival.

Abstract

Galah shrimp is one type of freshwater shrimp that has great potential for cultivation. One of the obstacles to the growth of king prawns is water quality. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the installation of Vegetable Floating Raft (VFR) on the growth of king prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii). This study was conducted using the t-test method, with control and Vegetable Floating Raft treatments. The results showed that the growth pattern of weight and length of king prawns in each treatment was relatively the same. However, the daily weight growth rate of king prawns in the control treatment was greater at 3.36%, compared to the treatment of Vegetable floating raft at 1.26%, while the daily length growth rate of king prawns in the control treatment was 0.86%. The daily length growth rate in the Vegetable floating raft treatment was smaller at 0.61%. During the study the value of the degree of survival of the control treatment was 95%, while in the treatment of Vegetable floating raft the percentage of the degree of survival of king prawns was 62%. Based on the results of visual observations seen the rest of the feed and the rest of the skin during molting. It is suspected that shrimp are stressed due to changes in water quality characterized by increased ammonia levels in the last maintenance week caused by the death of kale plants in the maintenance medium.

Abstract

Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) or also known as Giant Freshwater Prawn is a type of crustacean that has the largest size compared to other freshwater prawns. Giant prawns are a freshwater fisheries commodity that has great potential to be developed because it has a high selling value. This Field Work Practice (PKL) activity was carried out at the Brackish Water Cultivation Installation (IBAP) in Probolinggo City, East Java. The results of Field Work Practices (PKL) regarding giant prawn nursery techniques start from preparing nursery ponds, preparing water for rearing media, stocking juveniles, managing water tanks for rearing media, water quality management, feed management, controlling pests and diseases, as well as harvesting and packaging. Water quality measurements include DO with values obtained at 5.1-5.6 mg/L, pH 7.1-8.7, temperature reaching 24-28°C, and salinity ranging from 0-5 ppt. The feed given is Artemia salina, corn bran mixed with flakes in a ratio of 3:1, and commercial feed is in the form of pellets with a frequency of administration twice a day, namely in the morning and evening.
