Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the price of jatropha seed at farmer level in Nusa Penida island, Bali, where the location was highly potential for Jatropha seed development as the main raw material of biodiesel production. The biodiesel price wass calculated using Activity-Based Cost System method. This method calculated biodiesel’s prices more accurate because it took a detailed activities costing in the biodiesel processing. The activities consisted of the production process activities at the unit and batch levels, where the costs were grouped by activity type according to Activity-Based Cost System, then grouped again into activity cost pool. It was found that the biodiesel price was Rp. 4,076.25 per liter which was higher than the current price of Rp. 3,893.9 per liter. The calculated biodiesel prices was then calibrated against with the price of industrial diesel oil in Nusa Penida island further calculation was carried out to determine the price of dried Jathropha seeds.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of the prototype method in designing a website-based employee recruitment information system. The case study used in this research is Berlian Agency, which is a business in the field of digital services that serves various needs, especially in the field of marketing such as website creation, social media management, and so on. The research carried out was adjusted to the business processes that were running at Berlian Agency, as well as by ongoing events and current conditions, therefore researchers used a descriptive method in this study. The descriptive research method is a research method that aims to describe and explain objects based on existing conditions. In this study, the development method chosen was the prototype method. The application of the prototype method makes it easier to design this system because there is a prototyping section that makes it easier for researchers to make the necessary designs. This study aims to produce an information system design for employee acceptance. Based on the research results, this system has been successfully designed as expected so that the prototype that has been made can be used as a basis for continuing to work on the system to be made. The results of this design can be used as a blueprint or documentation for the company with the hope that later it can be used as literature to develop a real employee recruitment system.

Abstract

The distribution network requires a protection system so that the electric power is distributed optimally using CBO cubicles (Output Circuit Breakers). the differencese with general cubicles are additional devices in the form of Circuit Breakers or PMT, Current Transformers (CT), Potential Transformers (PT), and relays. CBO installation is important to minimize disturbance to the feeder. Medium Voltage Network has spindle, mesh, and radial configuration. The MP 244 substation is also equipped with Ground Fault Detection (GFD) which functions as a short circuit fault detector to the ground and to speed up localizing interference on 20 kV. Maintenance of medium voltage distribution networks is divided into replacement, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Meanwhile, in the maintenance of the 20kV cubicle, PLN officers must also follow various stages regulated in certain SOPs. The aim of the research is to maintain the 20 kV cubicle in the medium voltage distribution network based on the applicable SOP so that protection failures at the MP 244 distribution substation do not recur. Abstract

This paper proposes a new approach to estimate the effective bandwidth for self-similar traffic in ATM network. In this approach we use the tail distribution of queue length based on FBM model. This approach is derived from the inequalities for Mills’ ratio. Then a comparison with Norros and Trinh&Miki schemes are analysed. The results demonstrate reasonable agreement between numerical and simulation results and between all schemes. Their bandwidth estimation tends closer for CLP improvement.

Abstract

Permasalahan kualitas energi listrik akhir-akhir ini mendapat perhatian besar berkenaan dengan meningkatnya kerugian energi listrik. Penurunan kualitas daya dalam keadaan “steady state” yang berlangsung cukup lama dapat mempengaruhi pemakaian energi listrik dari system / peralatan-peralatan distribusi. Untuk melakukan analisis kualitas energi listrik pada sistem tenaga yang kurang baik ini, dibuatkan model analisis aliran daya dengan memperhitungkan karakteristik pemakaian energi dari komponen-komponen utamanya. Aliran daya yang dipakai adalah pengembangan metode fast decoupled untuk analisis aliran daya tiga phasa pada sistem distribusi radial. Model pengembangan analisis aliran daya diuji pada sistem distribusi radial dengan komponen utamanya seperti saluran, transformator daya, dan motor induksi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh turunnya kualitas energi listrik menyebabkan meningkatnya rugi-rugi listrik pada sistem distribusi radial.

Abstract

In this paper, the authors propose the design of a new orthogonal small set Kasami code sequence generated using combination of non-orthogonal m-sequence and small set Kasami code sequence. The authors demonstrate that the proposed code sequence has comparable auto-correlation function (ACF), cross- correlation function (CCF), peak cross-correlation values with that of the existing orthogonal small set Kasami code sequence. Though the proposed code sequence has less code sequence sets than that of the existing orthogonal small set Kasami code sequence, the proposed code sequence possesses one more numbers of members in each code sequence set. The members of the same code set of the proposed code sequence are orthogonal to each other.

Abstract

PT. Soejasch Bali adalah perusahaan pengolahan daging yang berdiri sejak 1983. Dalam paper ini dilakukan audit energi listrik dan deph interview berdasarkan kuesioner USAID – ICED untuk mengetahui Intensitas Konsumsi Energi di bangunan non produksi sebesar IKE 87,412 kWh/m2 dan mengetahui Konsumsi Energi Spesifik untuk perhitungan secara keseluruhan karena berupa perusahaan produksi sebesar 887,62 kWh/Ton. Peluang Hemat Energi yang bisa diterapkan di PT. Soejasch Bali yaitu dengan pengaturan jam operasional yang menghasilkan 5% penghematan energi yang dikonsumsi (turnitin chek 14%, 11okt2016)

Abstract

Abstract—This paper present about recognition of gamelan rindik pattern using wavelet transform. Wavelet transform is used to find the special characteristic of gamelan rindik, which had previously been recorded and stored in computer with format *.wav. The data was subsequently used as training and tested data, Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) was used to recognize gamelan rindik pattern using. The training and tasted data process used four different rindics, consisting 0f 240 gamelan rindik data. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) was used as the method of feature extraction, with Symlet, Haar, and Daubechies Wavelet function. Those three functions of the wavelet shows the average accuracy level for Symlet 94.58%, Haar 93.33%, and wavelet Daubechies 94.58%.

Abstract

The Mekar Sari Buleleng Microhydro Power Plant (MHP) has been around since 1980. This 10 kW PLTMH has experienced various problems resulting in suboptimal operation. One of the proposed improvements is a decades-old turbine redesign. The new design resulted in a crossflow turbine with a capacity of 185 kW. The performance of the turbine was validated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software with a simulation of the average turbine power output of 175 kW. One of the improved features used in this turbine design is the nozzle design so that the turbine's output power can be maximized.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan implementasi replikasi database menggunakan teknik master-slave. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah menjalankan replikasi data yang terdapat pada server master sehingga dapat tersalin secara otomatis pada server slave. Penerapan teknik replikasi master-slave bertujuan untuk mencegah kehilangan data dari kejadian sistem gagal atau kerusakan perangkat pada server utama. Konsep replikasi master-slave adalah menyalin data dari database server master ke server slave sehingga pengguna tidak perlu melakukan backup data dari database secara manual. Replikasi database master-slave merupakan salah satu fitur yang disediakan oleh aplikasi database MySQL dalam container Docker, namun untuk dapat menjalankan sistem replikasi, beberapa penyesuaian dan konfigurasi diperlukan pada aplikasi database, sehingga mampu membentuk sebuah infrastruktur replikasi secara otomatis. Dalam penelitian ini, replikasi dijalankan pada aplikasi database MySQL dengan data uji sebanyak 20 file data multimedia dengan kapasitas 100MB. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memasukkan data ke dalam database pada server master. Skenario pengujian pada penelitian ini dilakukan unggah data dan hapus data. Dari hasil pengujian menunjukkan perubahan data secara otomatis: data yang ada pada server slave sama seperti pada server master, walaupun data pada server master telah melalui unggahan dan penghapusan data. Begitu pula sebaliknya, perubahan data yang dilakukan pada server master juga langsung terreplikasi pada server slave.
