Abstract

AbstractSoil is a layer of the earth's surface that is formed due to the process of decomposition and weathering over a very long period. Soil is also included in the forest ecosystem as a place for vegetation to grow. In particular, the forest in Bogor Regency based on its function consists of protected forest, conservation forest, limited production forest, permanent production forest, and forest area as a buffer function. However, from year to year, the forest area in Bogor Regency has decreased due to land conversion. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of soil type variables on the suitability of forest area functions and provide a reference for processing soil types in terms of GIS utilization. The method used is a reclassification of raster data with Arcmap GIS 10.7 software. Based on the research results, there are five types of soil in the research area. After reclassification, the available soil classes based on their area are four categories, namely insensitive, moderately sensitive, less sensitive, and sensitive. Furthermore, the soil type variable is processed by weighting and scoring to determine the suitability of the function of the forest area and evaluated with the 2016-2036 Bogor Regency RTRW.Keywords: Reclassification, Soil Type, Suitability, Forest Area

Abstract

Urbanization is one of the factors that cause an increase in the number of residents in urban areas. The increase of population has an impact on increasing settlements which result in changes in land use. One of the residential areas in Medan City is Perumahan Taman Alamanda Indah which is located in Tanjung Selamat, Medan Tuntungan District. Around 60.7% of the area of Perumahan Taman Alamanda Indah is a closed area in the form of houses and roads which causes high surface runoff when heavy rain occurs. The study aims to plan infiltration wells that can function to reduce flood discharge in Perumahan Taman Alamanda Indah area. The planned infiltration well is a communal well that is divided into several zones. It is planned that 50% of the maximum discharge of rain that falls on the roof of the house is absorbed into the infiltration well. From the results of the study, the required number of infiltration wells is 430 units with a diameter of 1 m and a depth of 2 m which is divided into 13 zones. The construction of this infiltration well can reduce the peak discharge in housing by 36.71%.Key words: land use, infiltration wells, flood

Abstract

The development of buying and selling online is increasing every year. This also resulted in an increase in the number of package deliveries to freight forwarders, including JNE. Therefore, establishing a JNE agent is a potential business. The requirement to establish a JNE agent is that the location must be at least 1 Km from the location of other JNE agents. The purpose of this study was to find alternative locations for the establishment of JNE agents. This study uses spatial analysis to analyze the distribution of JNE agents in Cibinong District. Some of the spatial analyzes used include Nearest Neighbour Analysis (NNA), Normalized Difference Built-Up Index (NDBI), Buffer and weighted overlay. The results obtained indicate that the distribution of JNE agents in Cibinong District tends to spread. Some JNE agents are less than 1 Km from other JNE agents. Most of the JNE are located on roads with the status of local roads and a radius of about 500 meters around JNE on average there are about 52% of the built area. According to this study, there are only a few suitable locations to establish a JNE agent in Cibinong District.

Abstract

An earthquake is shaking on the earth's surface resulting from seismic waves due to the sudden release of energy from within the earth. This study examines the spatial distribution of the earthquake hypocenter based on the Geographic Information System on Ambon Island. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and spatial which emphasizes spatial pattern, spatial structure, and spatial tendency. Data were obtained from geological maps, topographic maps, land use maps, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) SRTM 30 m resolution, as well as secondary data in the form of earthquake epicenter data from BMKG, as well as literature related to the problems studied. This data is then processed using ArcGis v software. 10.6 Ermapper 7.2 and Global Mapper v. 23.1. The results of the research show that the September 26, 2019, Ambon earthquake, whose location is concentrated between the islands of Ambon and Haruku, extends north to the southwest of Kairatu, Seram Island. The location of the epicenter is a tectonic active area. The area of Seram Island and its surroundings is close to the Seram fault which can generate a large earthquake with a thrust type of fault. Earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.0 SR to 4.0 SR are very common on Ambon Island, while earthquakes of 5.0 SR and above are rare and almost all of these earthquakes fall into the category of shallow earthquakes (< 70 km), namely with an average depth of 10 Km.
