Abstract

This research is application of neural network technique to optimize convolution operation using mask 3x3 to omit the image blurring effect. This neural network consists of three layers. They are input layer (9 neuron inputs), output layer (1 output neuron) and hidden layer. Each layer is applied to 3, 5 and 7 neuron using back propagation technique. The result shows the using five neurons to hidden layer give the highest value of sound pixel recognizing (76.47%)

Abstract

There are abnormalities in breast tissue which can be detected by mammogram images analysis. One of those abnormalities is microcalcification. Microcalcifications are small calcium deposits in the breast tissue that can be seen only on a mammogram and can be an indicator of breast cancer. The main objective of this research is to automatically recognize the pattern of two types of breast tissues, i.e. normal tissue and breast tissue which contain microcalcifications in digital mammograms using Matlab software tools. In this research, pattern recognition is carried out using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), i.e. LVQ (Learning Vector Quantization). The pattern recognition is formulated as a supervised-learning problem and classification was based on six-feature input given to the ANN. The system recognizes the pattern in three steps. Firstly, a tophat transformation is applied on the images, and then features of the images are extracted based on images pixel values. Finally, image classification is carried out in recognizing the pattern. The research uses 26 digital mammograms, consist of 16 normal mammograms and 10 mammograms which contain microcalcifications. The results show that the LVQ best performance in recognizing the pattern is 97%, using learning rate and decrement of learning rate equal to 0.1.

Abstract

Utilization of microcontroller especially MCS-51 family has been widely implemented in various applications, such as control and telecommunications applications. One of them is the phase shifting array antenna in the telecommunication field. The Array Antenna was designed from some of dipole antenna. Each element at dipole antenna has a different phase and can be controlled electronically. The phase shifting was done using AT89S51 microcontroller that functioned as an electronic switch on the transmission cable connection. The phase of the array antenna will be moved without moving the structure of the array antenna itself, so that the direction of radiation pattern can be changed in accordance with the phase shifting between the antenna elements.

Abstract

An Electric Load Controller is a tool to make easier an implementation of repeated activities such as to turn on and turn off the electric load by using a hand phone as a controller. The controller aims to take into account problems related to control systems and to design a control system that can be implemented in the house hold in case of turning on and off electric loads. A user may turn on and off electric loads from a remote place easily. The design of control, microcontroller, relay, load and rectifier are applied on this research. Furthermore, a hand phone is used for the missed call feature and IC AT89S52 is used on the microcontroller design through BASCOM 8051 programming so as to make missed call feature can be transmitted to a destination number without manually turning off and on electrical devices at home.

Abstract

The hand phone provides an easy to communicate in domestic calls or international calls. The radiation pattern of yagi antenna leads to one direction. Therefore, this antenna is selected for signal amplifier in global system of mobile communication. The design of 14 element yagi antenna which applied for signal amplification in the cell phones was conducted in this study. The design was done manually without computer software. The antenna was created using an aluminum pipe in 3/8 inch diameter for element and an aluminum beam for boom. The result showed that the operating frequency between the designed antenna and manufactured antenna are the same i.e. 947 MHz. The bandwidth of yagi antenna is 9 MHz. Moreover, the antenna gain which measured in folded antenna transmitter and BTS transmitter are 16 dB and 12 dB respectively. That result is caused differences in distance at the measurement time. Abstract

This article is designed for an information system in the form of expert system applications to present information on Batam Directory. The purpose of this system is to help provide information about the city of Batam as a whole to the residents of Batam city in particular and thelocal and foreign tourists as well as prospective investors in general. The system presents information in the form of public service to the residents of Batam city government and other newcomers as well as products and services are made ​​and offered by the business and government. The analysis was done by determining the first goal, then do these arching to obtain the desired information. The design system uses backward chaining inference method to the implementation ofthe system using My-SQL database systems and programming languages​​ of PHP and JQuery. The system is based on mobile, so it can be accessed using a mobile device.

Abstract

This paper investigates public bus route selection where demand is uncertain and evaluates the role of fuzzy logic in the MSA. The uncertain demand data are presented in linguistic form and transformed into fuzzy numbers. The crisp values obtained by the fuzzy logic are used to replace the exact demand in selecting best routes. The patterns of fuzzy data are presented to show capability of fuzzy data in representing exact data.

Abstract

Quality and sorting is one method to classify an observed object and the end result of the inspection process. Quality and sorting can be done manually or automatically where quality and one manually sorting can be done by utilizing the human senses. Quality automatically requires certain tools such as the use of digital cameras to replace the sensory function of the human eye as a visual inspection. By using a digital camera, the camera capture object images obtained is processed via image processing, the processing system can be used as an automated visual inspection for the decision making process quality and sorting. The ability to recognize objects in the form of camera pixel component, can be used to determine the size and color, while the components can be used to determine the level of maturity. This system implemented as automatic visual inspection to determine quality tomato fruit size and maturity level. Results of testing this system is able to recognize 100% ripe tomatoes and 73% were able to recognize the young tomato fruit, the overall ability of the system to recognize the maturity level of the tomato fruit was 86.15%. While the tomatoes quality test based on class size with large, medium and small work 100%. Recognize the success rate of fruit maturity is greatly influenced by the current lighting objects tomatoes in camera capture. We hope this research can be used as input data for the next stage as the data input to the system pemutuan and automatically sorting tomatoes.

Abstract

Original speech signal is needed both in telecommunications and in some instruments in a variety of fields. Not infrequently, the original audio signal is damaged due to noise. This noise can cause the original signal changes in the actual form. In the final project will be designed FIR filter to remove noise by using TMS320C6713 DSK. Sound signal to be input to the mixed noise removal filter system noise. The mixed voice signal will be searched by subtracting the signal difference to noise signal output FIR filter to get the signal e (n), and then do an adaptation resulting filter coefficients. Results of the adaptive filter coefficients would be put back to calculate the noise signal output next FIR filter. Original voice signal used is the word "sinus" uttered by teenage boys, teenage girls, boys and girls. Girl's voice had the highest frequency with an average 522.50 Hz, the frequency of the sound of the boys 462.63 Hz, the sound frequency of 222.58 Hz girls and voice frequencies teenage boys at 201.49 Hz. Noise signal used is 100 Hz sinusoidal noise. From the test results obtained for the system output signal SNR sound input teenage boy was 19.94 dB. SNR output signal to the input of 21.39 dB girls. SNR signal input output system for boys was 34.70 dB. SNR output signal to the input system daughters of 35.52 dB

Abstract

Feedback Information System Teaching and Learning Against Web-Based Teaching Staff In the Department of Information Technology Padang State Polytechnic is an information system that receives feedback from the learning process of students to teaching staff in the form of questionnaires, to then process and provide the necessary information. This system can be accessed by many users at the same time. Users of this system consists of students, operators, administrator, and faculty leaders. The system is built using PHP programming language and MySQL database server. This system could make it easier, save time and reduce errors in entering, process and provide information on the results of data processing questionnaires. While limitations are only limited to faculty assessment only and limited to the processing of assessment ratio.
