Abstract

Kegiatan  dari Program  P3HP  LPM IKIP Yogyakarta  yang dalam hal ini kegiatannya  dalam bentuk  survei,  sebagai  langkah awal bertujuan   ingin  mengetahui  jenis-jenis   karya  teknologi   dari Program  Studi:  Teknik Elektro,  Teknik  Elektronika,   Tekni Mesin, Teknik Otomotif,  Teknik Bangunan,  Tata Boga,  dan Tata Busana.  Hasil dari kegiatan  ini diharapkan   dapat bermanfaat, baik bagi  LPM  maupun  bagi  FPTK  IKIP  Yogyakarta.   Khusus  bagi  mahasiswa   teridentifikasi,    LPM  IKIP  Yogyakarta   bisa menentukan    langkah-langkah     konkret   antara   lain:  (a)  Mengadakan    konsultasi   dengan   pihak  FPTK   kemungkinan    dapat dimanfaatkannya   produk  karya  teknologi  mahasiswa   untuk  kepentingan   Pengabdian   Kepada  Masyarakat,   (b) jika  mungkin, LPM  mengadakan    musyawarah    untuk  menentukan    langkah-langkah    yang  harus  ditempuh   untuk  merealisasikannya,     (c) kaitannya dengan butir (b), LPM menentukan  identifikasi  potensi masyarakat  yang diperkirakan  bisa mengembangkan   usahanya dengan  adanya  peralatan   yang  dibantukan.Metode  yang  digunakan   untuk  mengumpulkan   data,  adalah  dengan  dokumentasi.   Sumber  informasi  untuk  memperoleh data adalah melalui  koordinator   mata kuliah Karya Teknologi,  yang dalam hal ini dipegang  oleh Sekretaris  Jurusan  atau Ketua Program Studi D-3 Teknologi.Hasil  dari pelaksanaan   kegiatan  ini adalah  bahwa  sampai  dengan  tanggal  31 Desember   1999, telah  dibuat  bentuk  karya.eknologi masing-masing  Program  Studi sebagai berikut: Pendidikan  Teknik Elektro:  34 karya, Pendidikan  Teknik Elektronika   :36 karya, Pendidikan  Teknik Mesin  : 80 karya, Pendidikan  Teknik Otomotif:   15 karya, Pendidikan  Teknik Bangunan  : 25 karya,-=-ataBoga:  64 karya, dan Tata Busana  : 4 karya. Sebagai catatan bahwa tiap-tiap  karya dibuat oleh minimal  lorang,   dan bahkan_  a yang dibuat  oleh 6-8 mahasiswa.Kata Kunci  : P3HP, Identifikasi  Karya Teknologi.

Abstract

This training aims to apply science and technology on how to create a website that can be used as a learning media. Software that is used in this training is software based on open source. While the trainees are vocational teachers in IT (Information Technology) situated in the Province of DI. Yogyakarta. Training starts by registration of participants with the minimum re- quirements can operate the computer properly. At the beginning of training, participants were given pretest to determine initial capacity of participants about website development. Next, topic that starts from the introduction of internet, web server installation and CMS software installation. Then, the core topic is given on how to create websites as a learning media. Further topic is how to upload the website on the internet. Providing topic ends with providing independent tasks for each participant to create their own website as a learning media tailored to the field of teaching participants. At the end of the training, participants are given posttest. Final competency determi- nation based on participant self-assessment task, pretest and posttest. From the number of participants as many as 18 teachers, all can follow the training from beginning to end. In addition, teachers can com- plate all these tasks well independently, that is able to create websites as a learning media in good categories. From the results of pretest and posttest assessment also showed that the participants judged a good

Abstract

Business Tortila Chips Insan Mandiri is a business that is engaged in theprocessing of corn. At one stage in the production process, i.e. the moldingstage tortilla chips, are still done manually so it takes a long time, shapes andsizes are not uniform. IbM program was implemented with the aim to increaseefficiency in the production process, especially in terms of shortening themolding and training partners to create a simple financial reports. Service activities using the dialog metode (FGD), introduction and applicationof technology, training, and assistance in an integrated manner. Technologythat introduced and applied to partners through this IbM activity is aTortila Chips display device to create rounded shapes, rectangles and hexagons.The training are simple financial bookkeeping trainings. Introduction to Tortilla Chips display device has been done and partnershave used these tools properly, so the shorter the time required, the productioncapacity can be increased, the product has a uniform shape and size so that thequantity and quality becomes better, which in turn will increase profits. Abstract

Tamantirto Village is a village with a population of 728 categories of poor households (28.46%). To reduce the level of poverty which is done by providing knowledge and skills of local resource utilization in the community. Transfer of knowledge and technology conducted by extension, practice, creation of demonstration plots as well as comparative studies. Knowledge and presence will include fish farming, household waste management, recognition and processing of medicinal plants into instant beverage and syrups. The result is a rural communities of Tamantirto was service capable of freshwater fish culture technologies and conduct intensive cultivation with a pool  tarp.  Capable  of  processing  organic  waste  into  compost  and  liquid fertilizer and manage of inorganic waste. Rural communities recognize a variety of  medicinal  plants  in  the  environment  and  can  process  them  into  instant beverages  and  syrups.  Society  has  increased  the  quality  of  life  of  its environmental cleanliness and income

Abstract

The activities of this technology application purpos~ : (1) gives skills in fish processing to the wife of fisherman in Trisik Beach.Desa  Banaran, Kecamatan Galur, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, especially to make bandengfish  presto,  fish meatballs, fish noodles, fish shredded, and fish ketchup; (2) increase the fisherman income by means of fish processing.These activities are followed by 14 women, and carried out in three days in Trisik. The methods of this activity are talkactive and practice in fish processing.  The topics of the talk~cti~e are:   (1) The contents of nutrient in fish, (2) Fish processing technology,  (3) The health technology in food processing, (4) The sanitation of area manufacture, (5) Analysis in exertion fish processing, and (6) The methods of packing production  and getting sertificate from Health Department. The topics in practice of fish processing  are  making  bandeng fish  presto,  fish meatballs,  fish  noodles,  fish shredded, and fish ketchup. ,The 'results 6f'these  activities  indicate that the participants  are very interest. The  participants   are  interesting   in  the  processing  of  bandeng fish  presto,   fish meatballs, and fish noodles.  The conclucions of these activities are: (I)  the activities have succeeded agree with the purpose, and (2) the participants have had skills in fish processing, especially in making bandengfish  presto, fish meatballs, fish noodles, fish shredded, and fish ketchup.Key words:   fish  processing,  and  increase of fisherman   income

Abstract

The eruption of Mount Merapi has always impacted material and immaterial losses. For children, as a vulnerable group, it would affect the psychological trauma that will be taken until they are adults, and if it has left untreated will negatively impact the development of their spiritual and mental. Inspired by the experience of the disaster that struck Japan, which has a neat system ofdisaster mitigation, they perform disaster simulations in some of the most critical cities periodically. Each month the school conducts evacuation practices so that when disaster strikes, the children will know exactly what they should do. The method used in solving the problems is by Thematic Learning Emergency Response and Disaster Mitigation of Mount Merapi Disaster in Prone Elementary School. The method used is the method of playing and learning which comprises: a) developing a child's curiosity to explore questions related to the eruption of Mount Merapi; b) accompanying /guiding the children to do simple research to find answers to their questions; and c) assisting children to formulate the answers from their questions. The event ended with a simulation of P3K, the way to save themselves and others. This program has provided benefits for the children to prevent oriented and response oriented. The children will become prepared for disasters and know what to do when disaster strikes.Keywords: thematic learning, disaster mitigation, prevent oriented,response oriented

Abstract

Training of PPM aims to provide a knowledge of science andtechnology on how to create e-learning and developing e-learning content.The software used as a media creation software is the LMS (LearningManagement System) Moodle based on an open source. While the trainee isa vocational school teachers at Kulonprogo.The process begins with registration of participants with theminimum requirements are able to operate a computer properly. Provisionof material starting from the introduction of internet, website and serverinstallation process as well as installation of Moodle software. After thatprovided the core material on how to set courses, course management anduser management using Moodle. The material is the process of uploadingthe website on the internet. The material concludes with providingindependent tasks for each participant to create and develop their owncustomized e-learning. In the process of making an independent task,participants are given assistance in the form of consultation for those whohave difficulties. Independent task is used as the basis for determiningcompetency achievement.Of the participants with the number of 25 teachers, all of them canattend training from beginning to end. In addition, all teachers can completethe task independently well, that is capable of creating and developing elearningand its contents.

Abstract

Gerabah  atau  keramik   dalam  wujud  genteng  merupakan   salah  satu kebutuhan  pokok  rumah  tangga  yang tak terhindarkan.    Oleh karen a itu, tak mengherankan  jika  masyarakat   (dalam  hal ini pengrajin  genteng)  telah  lama mengenal    cara-cara    memproduksi     genteng    lempung    secara   tradisional termasuk  memilih  bahan  bakunya  untuk  memperoleh   hasil  dengan  kualitas yang baik.   Seiring  dengan  kemajuan  teknologi,  pengrajin  genteng  lempung mengalami    tekanan    persaingan     yang   cukup   berat   dengan    munculnya produksi    genteng    "nonlempung",     yakni    terutama    asbes    dan   genteng "semen".Kedua  gent eng jenis   nonlempung   tersebut  dapat  diproduksi   secara besar-besaran   dengan  mesin  cetak  yang  lebih  canggih  dalam  waktu  yang jauh  lebih  singkat  ketimbang   produksi   genteng  lempung.  Tambahan   pula industri   genteng   nonlempung    ini   mampu   menyuguhkan    berbagai   jenis ukuran genteng  dengan  presisi  dan homogenitas  yang relatif  lebih baik  serta hasil   yang   jauh    lebih   kuat.      Oleh   karena    itu,   kedua   jenis    genteng nonlempung   ini  mampu   memenuhi   tuntutan   kebutuhan   masarakat   dalam waktu cepat seiring dengan  naiknya  kebutuhan  pembangunan  fisikoNamun    demikian,     kelemahan     yang    mencolok     pada    gentengnonlempung   ini  adalah   dampaknya   terhadap   lingkungan   yakni  kesehatan (kanker) khususnya  untuk  asbes  sehingga  dewasa  ini tekanan  persaingannya menjadi jauh  berkurang.    Jenis  genteng  semen  memberikan   dampak  panas yang lebih tinggi  terhadap   lingkungan.  Dengan  demikian,  sesungguhnyalah genteng   lempung   mampu   menawarkan    kenyamanan    yang   lebih   karena kemampuannya  yang  lebih  baik dalam  menyerap  panas,  dan oleh karena  itu tetap memiliki  masa depan yang menjanjikan.

Abstract

The program of the production technology application of the sandbasedbuilding material aims to equip the community of Desa Kalibeing,Kecamatan Dukun, Central Java with: (1) life skill of vocational skill insand-based building material production, (2) enterpreneurship interest inbuilding material production, and (3) capability to develop sand-basedbuilding material production industry.The technology application method consists of the activities: (1)survey of the skill types interested by the target community, (2) talk of lifeskill education related to sand-based building material production, (3)discussion, (3) demonstration, (4) practice of concrete block production, and(5) laboratory test to observe the product quality and analysis of the trainingproduct economic value. The talk and discussion methods are used todeliver the raw material preparation subject, the demonstration and practicemethods are used to equip the community the skill in concrete blockproduction, and the laboratory research aims to observe the quality andeconomic value of the products. The target community of the technologyapplication is the community of Desa Kalibening, Kecamatan Dukun,Central Java. The activity result is analysed by observing the level of thecapability of the training participants in producing sand-based buildingmaterial especially concrete blocks and the quality of the training resultproducts if compared to the existing standards and the selling value of theproducts.The result of the technology application implementation of the sandbasedbuilding material production is the community mastering the skills of:(1) good preparation of raw material to form the concrete blocks, (2)capability of producing sand-based building material especially the concreteblocks with various mixing ratios, (3) treatment of the produced buildingmaterial, and (4) enterpreneurship capability of producing sand-basedbuilding materials especially concrete blocks. Generally the buildingmaterial products made by the target community have met the requirementsset in SNI although they are still in the lowest quality category (A1). Theselling value of the concrete blocks with the ratio of 1 SP : 10 PS is Rp2.000,00 each and the ratio of 1 SP : 12 PS is Rp 1.800,00 each.

Abstract

Gilangharjo village is a village with diverse tourism potential which lies between the golden triangle area of Bantul. Besides, Gilangharjo village alsohas a high potential in agriculture, even the dry land such as large gardens andyards with the main results of bananas and fisheries. However, these lands havenot been fully utilized yet. In accordance with the mission of Village Gilangharjo, which is to strengthen the productive group institutionally business in small food industry now has been developed. Based on the analysis results of the situation, it is identified that problems faced by food Small Medium and Enterprises (SMEs) in the village Gilangharjo, specifically in Jodog and Karanganom village-district, are the absence of the processing technology implementation for diversified food processed product based on local food, improper food production and packaging process, as well as not-well-organized business and finance management. The purpose of the activity proposed is to raise awareness of the public, especially members of the SME I and SME II, in improving food diversification based on local food. Method of implementation is divided into stages of (i) coordination and tools preparation, (2) science and technology application which is consisted of socialization, education and training, as well as monitoring and evaluation steps. Counseling given to the society are about packaging and labeling, food safety and good production process, manufacturing process of catfish and bananas, production and finance management, and ended by evaluation using a questionnaire instrument. Questionnaire results showed that counseling and training activities are able to enhance the knowledge and skills of local food processing, specifically catfish and banana. By this activity, the members of both SME I and SME II are motivated to increase production of processed food based on local food, specifically catfish and banana,either in groups or individually
