Abstract

This research was conducted in Sidomulyo village Silo subdistrict, Garahan village Silo subdistrict and Gelang village Sumberbaru subdistrict Jember regency which have been deliberately determined (purposive method) by considering those have a potential plantation, especially the citizenry coffee’s commodity. The research method which is used is a descriptive method and analytical method. Analysis method which is used is a Trend analysis by Least Square Method.    The result of research shows (1) The average of citizenry coffee farmer’s age in Sidomulyo village, Garahan village and Gelang village is productive age. (2) The using of input in the production of citizenry coffee farmer in Sidomulyo village, Garahan village and Gelang village for a seed comes from government aids, own producing/other group and market. (3) The capital source of citizenry coffee farmer in Sidomulyo village, Garahan village ang gelang village is an own capital and comes from family loan or the other farmer, (4) The kind of citizenry coffe protection plant in Sidomulyo village, Garahan village and Gelang village is a dadap, lamtoro, sengon laut, avocado, glirisidae, coconut and banana, (5) The buyer of citizenry coffee produce is a merchant of compiler and grocher by selling system of large quantity and the merchant who determinates selling prices, (6) The trend of selling citizenry coffee in Sidomulyo village have a positive direction, by the selling prediction for 2008 and 2009 is increase, and (8) The selling trend of citizenry coffee in Gelang village has a negative direction, by selling prediction for 2008 and 2009 is decrease. Abstract

Indonesia is represents as the producing country of cocoa number three in world. In era of globalization benefit of commerce will only be enjoyed by state having higher competitiveness from other state. This research conducted as a mean to know the 1) trend of growth of Indonesian cocoa seed on year period 1996-2006 and forecasting in year of 2015; 2) specialization of Indonesian cocoa seed on 1996-2006 compared with other producing country 3) ratio of Indonesian cocoa seed acceleration in 1996-2006 compared to with other producing country; 4) make an index to the RCTA of Indonesian cocoa seed in 1996-2006 compared with other producing country 5) the growth of competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa seed in 2015 compared with other producing country. The analyzing methods are using the Arima, ISP, RA, and RCTA. Result of research indicate that the trend of growth of the cocoa production show fluctuate, wide of area, the amount of export and import of the cocoa seed. The forecasting in 2015 shows the same thing. In 1996-2006 Indonesia have specialization as cocoa exporter country. Indonesia competitiveness position in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 is adulthood phase, in the year 1996,1997,1998, 2001, 2005,dan 2006 is exporting phase. Indonesian seed of cocoa have the lower value of ISP compared with Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ecuador, Cameroon, and Nigeria. Ratio of acceleration of Indonesia cocoa seed in 1996-2006 showing compartment of market of seed of cocoa Indonesia can be grabbed by other; dissimilar state. Pursuant to analysis RCTA, Indonesia has competitiveness in commodity of seed cocoa. Assess the RCTA Indonesia still lower compared with Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ecuador, Cameroon, and Nigeria. Forecasting of Indonesian cocoa seed competitiveness in 2015 indicating that Indonesia  have specialization as exporter country and at adulthood phase, weak position in market, and have own competitiveness. Indonesian cocoa seed estimated to have the lower value of RA, ISP and RCTA so it just has a little benefit on the global market. Abstract

Indonesia is one of exporting country coffee in the world. World Trade Liberalization wants an abolition of all kind of trade resistance that is: tariff, quota and subsidy. This Research bent on to know: (1) factors that influence supply and demand coffee Indonesia, (2) analysis of condition supply and demand coffee Indonesia when agreement applying IMF, AFTA, and WTO.  Research Result indicates that: (1) Supply coffee Indonesia is formed from amount of production coffee Indonesia is added amount stock coffee Indonesia is added import coffee Indonesia less the amount of  exporting coffee Indonesia, whereas (2) demand coffee Indonesia is influenced by price coffee Arabica  Indonesia, amount Import coffee Indonesia, resident population Indonesia and sugar price in Indonesia. Today government Indonesia have not yet when its to apply policy of import tariff 0 % base rule WTO, until ideal policy alternative was for condition of coffee Indonesia today is : Government Policy by applying import tariff 1,05%, fee improvement as high as 10% and degradation of manure price as high as 10% at this condition will cause improvement at supply coffee Indonesia from 503.360 tons become 520.620 level tons as high as 20.260 tons (4,05%), level demand from 175.000 become 175.503 level tons as high as 503 tons (0,29%). Improvement also happened in exports from 329.062 tons become 349.237 ton or levels as high as 20.175 tons (6,13%) whereas to import not too high its improvement that is from 3.197 tons become 3.492 ton or levels as high as 295 tons (9,22%). Abstract

The complexity of Indonesia and international coffee market is an interesting phenomenon to be checked. Especially in diversity of commodity coffee market. Therefore, this research take the problems of keragaan coffee market and see the existence of change when the component change in variable of former of commodity market coffee domesticly and also international happened. Result of this research is that diversity Indonesia coffee market in econometrics model determined by interaction of linkage and the influence from coffee demand factor that influenced by the amount of the coffee produce, the coffee stock, amount of the Indonesia coffee import and the tapered down with the amount of the Indonesia coffee export. Coffee’s demand was influenced by the Indonesia coffee price, the amount of the world coffee import, earnings per capita of Indonesia and tea price. The applying of fertilize price policy have an effect on by simultan to keragaan the Indonesia coffee market especially at the variables of the coffee productivity, the coffee production, coffee supply, areal wide, the coffee price, the coffee demands, the export and import of Indonesia’s coffee. The best of policy alternatif is increasing of fertilize price equal to 10%. The increasing of smaller fertilize price will assist on coffee farming if it seen from traditional coffee farmer’s side. Abstract

Performasi agribisnis padi/beras pada sektor pertanian merupakan subsektor dominan di Kabupaten Jember. Meski sebenarnya terjadi indikasi penurunan area pengusahaannya yaitu   131.522 ha pada 2003, dari 141.880 ha pada tahun  2002. Namun demikian produksi beras masih dapat dipertahankan dan masih memiliki kecenderungan meningkat. Daya tarik usaha tani padi tidak saja pada ruang produksi namun juga tatanan bisnis yang terjadi hingga pada konsumen akhir. Secara tegas tulisan ini bertujuan untuk: (1)   untuk mendapatkan identifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi entrepreneur dan pemahaman manajerial para pelaku bisnis usaha tani padi/beras. (2) untuk menemukan bekerjanya mekanisme saluran distribusi agribisnis beras dari petani hingga pedagang eceran. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 9 desa dengan 85 responden di Kabupaten Jember. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman responden petani terhadap konsep manajerial agribisnis adalah rendah. Sementara itu pelaku agribisnis memiliki kecenderungan melakukan bisnisnya secara tradisional dan bersifat sosial kekeluargaan. Tidak terdapat kaitan yang jelas terhadap peluang masuk dalam pasar antara pedagang besar dengan pedagang eceran.

Abstract

Global Trade Liberalization want the openness of market and infinite effort opportunity ( borderles world) and also abolition of import cost import and other commerce resistance. One of governmental policy in input storey level is give the input subsidy of produce, protection and price control and also guarantee the availability of fertilize. Erratic input use efficiency in storey level of paddy’s farming still not yet been reached in an optimal fashion. Government policy applied during the time, do not pursue the paddy competitiveness in storey farming level, nor improve the added value meaning, because of from input and output exported only fertilize is just urea, so that protection and added value applied by a government not yet been felt by farmer. Rice supply in domestic market is bigger than demand, excess of stock rice of equal to 613.364 ton. Supply and demand of rice in domestic market by significant each influenced by paddy productivity and amount the resident with the elasticity of each 0,9 and 1,1. Abstract

The condition of switchover function of rice field farm per Regency / City in Provinsi of East Java pursuant to Result Podes 2006, that have been happened to by displace the function of farm rice field during 3 year ( 2003-2006) becoming agriculture farm of non rice field. This research conducted to know the conversion of farm rice field in East Java, inclusive of its spreading at regency and city and also time period of before autonomy era and after area autonomy, and also factors of what having an in with conversion of rice field. Research place selected by purposive sampling that is in Provinsi of East Java with the consideration that region of Provinsi of East Java have the farm of rice field which have potency to be downhill effect by industrial growth and the increasing of housing along with resident growth which fast enough. The analysis tools is use the analysis of trend linear with the smallest square method (Least Square Method) and simple linear regression analyse that its calculation by using computer program (soft ware) SPSS ( Statistical Program The For Social Science). Result of this research indicate that the wide growth of farm for the rice field of to have the downhill tendency, while wide growth of farm for the lawn of / building and page yard have the tendency mounting, and after the application of law about regency autonomy, the wide displace function of rice field farm become bigger than before the application into effect of autonomy at same period comparison (5 years series). The factor that influencing the conversion of rice field farm are variable the amount of the domestic housing, economic growth, and the amount of farmer. Keywords : Farming area, Conversion land
