Abstract

The inbalanced numbers of job seekers and the job available as well as the high percentage of corruption in Indonesia has encouraged the government to find solution.    Based on the values promoted by education of entrepreneurship, the government has shifted the Indonesian people from being ‘job seeker’ to ‘job maker’ and prevent corruption.  Whenever the society understand and hold or conduct the entrepreneurship, corruption will decline because the society has already self sufficient and do not rely on the government any more.  Higher education serve the tool for the government to grow and develop students’ character, therefore, this institution is targeted to produce new entrepreneurship. Copyright © 2013 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i3.44

Abstract

The vision and mission of Islamic education is rahmatan lil ‘alamiin, that makes Islamic education as guidance to direct the human being becomes chaliph in the world. The aim of government decre on national education system 2003 is to filterize the negative impacts of globalization which will lose national identity. The possible solution to overcome this negative effect is the teacher as well as educator should become a good model for students, discuss good topic, supervise the students continually, conduct regular supervision, and provide balance between reward and punishment.

Abstract

is a direct advice to facilitate learners to overcome problems they encounter, and enable them to take the best decision for themselves with full of responsibility.  Concept of psychological strength presented in this paper is promoted by Cavanagh (1982).   Theorists contend that psychological strength constitutes the power to generate an individual to act in all sphere of his life.  The concept of psychological strength consists of three dimensions including: need fulfillment, intrapersonal competencies, and interpersonal competencies.  Seffen (2009) defines psychological strength as one’s personal quality that is reflected in his ability to respect himself and other people in life, including the ability to make good relationship with friends, family, and other person, together with the ability to carry out interpersonal communication.  This personal power can be developed in the process of individual counseling.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i2.35

Abstract

The Quran is the highest miracle (mu`jizat) of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). Its strength lies in two aspects; content and linguistic. The God and the Prophet have encouraged the Moslem to comprehend similitude verses of the Quran (tamtsîl) since it provides countless benefits. It is found through this research that the style of similitude verses (sharîh, mursal and kâminah) were written in 168 verses. Based on the language style, tamtsîl is classified into sharîh, mursal dan kâminah.  Meanwhile, the benefits of the similitude verses for mankind are: targhîb, tarhîb, tahzîr, mau’izhah and i’tibâr.

Abstract

Education concept closely relates to humans’ concept themselves. How humans’ concept will relate to their concept on education because the education itself is an effort to direct humans’ concept. Islamic concept on education is a holistic unit. This paper describes the humans’ concept that has dignity, well in nature, multidimentional, and multipotential. Thus, the Islamic education attempts to direct students become self-confidence, creative and innovative in developing their capabilities. New education system in Islam is determined by new concept on Islamic thinking.

Abstract

Mixed method (quantitative and qualitative methods) was used to answer the research question that is there any significant improvement on students’ ability in determining main idea of a paragraph by using Jigsaw techniques?. The finding showed that there is significant effect on students’ ability in determining main ide of a paragraph by using Jigsaw technique. This finding was proved by the significant differences on students’ achievement between first cycle that is 78 and second cycle that is 84 (it implies that 97% of passing grade can be achieved). It can be concluded that this technique can be implemented by the Indonesian language teachers to improve students’ ability in determining main idea of the paragraphs.

Abstract

Target of which wish to be reached in this research is to depict execution of MBS in MTSN Batusangkar and explain its contribution to make-up of quality and quality education of madrasah and also explain supplementary factor and resistor met in its execution. Result of this research of meneggambarkan that execution of MBS in good enough MTSN Batusangkar. its Management system enough succeed to give contribution in improving student achievement and have appearance of good enough organization. As for supplementary factor in execution of MBS in MTSN Batusangkar besides society support and government which is high enough, also leadership which is kharismatik. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the types of plagiarism done by the students in finishing their lesson tasks. There are three factors that made students did the plagiarism, namely: (1) take other writings and acknowledge them as their own writing, (2) take ideas from part of others’ writing and change to own language , and (3) take all parts of writings without changing the ideas  and language. The causes of plagiarism are: (1) the development of technology and information and, (2) high lessen studi.

Abstract

Science Education in Indonesia is still poor. There are many components involved in science education such as the teacher. The myriad flaws of the teacher’s factor must be addressed: the intake of low teacher, teachers’ commitment, performance, the level of teacher education, etc. These are caused by low performance of the principal and the Superintendent and the policies of the Government.  To overcome these problems, then, it is necessary to improve the following program including training and tutorial programs, etc.  It is expected that through the efforts of increasing teacher’s quality will improve students’ science literacy.

Abstract

The significance position of teaching and learning process of Arabic in State Institute for Islamic Studies ‘Imam Bonjol’ of Padang is in line with the original existence of this institution; that is to produce credible Muslim scholars who are committed to uphold the right and eliminate the sinful.  It is expected that through the teaching and learning process of Arabic, will enable the students to explore the teaching of Islam from the original sources written in Arabic, to use the language for communication, as well as to teach it to other people.  Problems encountered by the institution have been continually resolved through some trainings provided for the instructors. Technical training and assistance from Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Marocco are currently incorporated in conjunction with Arabic teaching.
