Abstract

The aim of this study to determine the effect of feeding commercial rations on the final live weight, feed conversion and "income over feed and chick cost".This study uses 90 mixed sex chicken experiment with strain "Arbor acres" 707 SR. It produced of PT. Satwa Utama Raya (SUR), Maros and maintained for 6 weeks. They treatmented with 3 (three) rations : 1) Rx = feeding  rations manufactured by PT. X, 2) Ry = feeding rations manufactured by  PT. Y and 3) Rz = feeding rations manufactured by PT. Z. There are 5 (five) repetition for each treatment. The parameters are the final live weight, feed conversion and "income over feed and chick cost". The data are processed with a range of RAL and continued analysis of LSD when the results are significant.The result showed that the use of commercial rations are not significant to the final live weight, feed conversion and “income over feed and chick cost.

Abstract

This article aim to study process design having the character of steady (robust design), in the effort is optimal overall of or response. Applying method merging between inner arrays and outer arrays in one matrixes designs so-called combined arrays can close over insuffiency from products arrays. Taguchi based on the design made by response model as design of experiments integration Taguchi with method of surface of response ( RSM), then determine valuation mean response variance and response based on the response model appraiser. Some bottoms design of experimentses evaluated by using criteria Variance dispersion graphs (VDGs) with amount of appropriate experiment. Application earnings yield indicate that modified CCD have variance slope compared is smaller with bottom design MR. But, from Prediction scale earnings yield Variansi Residual maximum and the average of design augmented MR compared by is smaller modified CCD. So that design augmented MR consider as effort cost effective and time, because amount of point of small relative experiment. Abstract

MOET merupakan suatu program perbaikan mutu genetic untuk mengurangi keterbatasan ternak betina dalam menghasilkan bibit kualitas unggul.Proyek ini bertujuan mensinkronkan siklus estrus antara donor dan resipien dengan menggunakan hormone GnRH, PGF2£, and FSH, hingga ternak resipien siap untuk menerima transfer embrio pada saat yang tepat. Ternak percobaan yang digunakan adalah ternak perah, yang terdiri dari donor 4 ekor sapi laktasi dan resipien 8 ekor masing – masing dengan score (body condition score) 4-5. Percobaan dilakukan di laboratorium lapangan ternak perah, University of Queensland, Australia.Proyek ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu: sinkronisasi estrus, super ovulasi, inseminasi buatan, perbaikan embrio, evaluasi embrio, perlindungan dan pemeliharaan embrio, transfer embrio dan diagnose kebuntingan.Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa 2 dari 4 ternak donor memiliki kualitas embrio yang bagus (good compact morula), dengan jumlah masing-masing 4 embrio. Proses sinkronisasi estrus antara donor dan resipien relative sama, dimana dengan rata-rata 12 jam – 36 jam setelah CIDR dicabut ternak menunjukkan tanda-tanda estrus. Angka kebuntingan 62.5% dari total jumlah ternak resipien. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka skema yang dicobakan dapat diaplikasikan dalam program MOET

Sustainable architecture  that also called green architecture, is the new trend in the world architecture as consequence of  PBB’s commission. Abstract

Coal in future will become a prospective candidate for alternative energy source. However, South Sulawesi coal still contains high concentration of sulphur which becoming a disadvantage for being used as an alternative energy. So far we need to develop such desulphurisation methods that not only practice abd efficient but also environmental friendly.The use of vegetable oil, which in oxidized form produces hydroperoxide, a powerful oxidizing agents, in desulphurisation process can oxidized the organic and inorganic sulphur of coal.The goal of this research will be, (1) to find out the NaOH optimum time and concentration for the initial treatment to effeciently desulfurized the coal, (2) to process, (3) to discover the maximum ratio of coal-oil in which can gave the maximum loss of sulphur (4) to justify maximum calories values of coal after the coal being desulfurized with vegetables oils.The research was carried out first with crushing the coal into about 200-mesh size following by analyzing the sulphur contents, which gave a result of 2,86% before desulphurized.In the initial treatment for desulphurisation, 75 mL of NaOH 1% and 5% was added to the coal for 1,3,5, and 7 hours respectively. After that coal was dried in temperature of 100oC. The maximum result from of this treatment was found 5% NaOH for 5  hour treatment, which reducing the content of sulphur about 2,239% or can desulphurized the coal until 22,035%Furthermore, variation of coal-vegetables oil ratio from (2:1), (1:1), (1:2), (1:3) and to the ratio with the constant absorbance values justified that the maximum ratio of (1:1) gave the maximum percentage of sulphur loss about 74,24% for traditional oils and 66,61% for crude palm oil respectively. These treatment also increasing the coal calories values 6176,80 to 6449,74 – 7767,09 kilocalories.Based on these result it can be concluded that the vegetable oil can effectively used in coal desulphurisation.

Abstract

The aim of this research to investigate the quality of coconut oil and palm oil through its measurement of the wavelength spectrum. Spektrofotomer is used to measure the wavelength spectrum, before and after used.The samples are fresh oil, and expired oil. Analysis of the quality of coconut and  palm oil based on wavelength spectrum show that caconut oil oil is better than palm oil. Analysis of the quality of coconut oil and palm oil show that  palm oil to sample use of coconut oil not containing compounds melanoidin while palm oil for one used melanoidin containing compounds have been found in wavelength of 540 nm which is a green area.Keywords: quality,oil, spectrophotometer.

Abstract

This research quality eksperiment with different extracted of lipid microalgae Tetraselmis chuii dan Nannochloropsis oculata from two places from sea water and  brachis water  with  pH and salinity to be different. Culture to do for eigh day just process extracted to do for ± three day. Extraction of lipid that had been done using chloroform : methanol (2:1) . product research can to be different  growth and pregnancy womb content of lipid  that can to do with use sea water media and brachis water media. The result of the research have found that % total lipid will obtained more when growing by using brackish water medias that is obtained counted 15,9 % for the Tetraselmis of chuii and 17,51% for the Nannochloropsis of oculata, while if using sea-water media only obtained 14,8 % and 16,3%. This matter is influenced by some factors like temperature, light intensity, and salinitas of pH.

Abstract

. This Research aim to to get picture until how far influence of addition of flour fill ox rumen in chicken ration of layers to eggs quality. Material which  used in this research is layer chickens of production phase amount to 48 tail, old age nine months, and strain super Harco C.P 306 coming from Glorious PT.Charoen Pokhpan  Farm, Jakarta. The Chicken looked after in 24 fairish each cage 1×0,5×1m made of cleft of bamboo which is width 2 cm lapped over with distance 1,5 - 2 cm. used to cage pallet consist of paddy chaff and of Slat. Location of chicken in cage done at random, where each;every cage filled two heads chicken equiped each one place eat and drink. Place eat and drink to be put down in such a manner in cage, so that each;every chicken get is same opportunity to eat and drink. giving of food done by ad-libitum. Fill ox rumen obtained from animal slaughter in Makassar. Device Attempt the used is Complete Random Device of Factorial Pattern 4 × 2 with thrice restating. First Factor is type of ransom, what consist of R-1 that is ransum without using flour fill ox rumen, R-2 is pregnant ransum 2,5 % flour fill ox rumen, R-3  is pregnant ransum 5 % flour fill ox rumen, R-4 is pregnant ransom 7,5 % flour fill ox rumen.. While both factor is cage pallet type which consist of Chaff Paddy and of Slat.Variables which measured in this research is thick  of eggs skin. Key words; egg–skin, ox rumen, ration..

Abstract

Red Snapper (Lutjanus sp) fish bone was product from red snapper fillet processing which had not been used optimal. The utilisation of fresh red snapper fishbone to produce gelatine has not been frequently performed. The research aimed to produce gelatine out of the red snapper fishbone  waste and determine the best condition of pH and temperature for the extraction with acid method. The result showed that the soaking in citrid acid solution with pH  3, a seven day soaking period and a temperature 90oC were  the best treatment condition of all. Under this condition gave 10,02% yield with viscosity 7 centipoises, pH 6,7 and gel strength 81,08 bloom, which fulfils the Tourtellote standard.
