Abstract

The raw material is something important for the company especially for the production process. If the company have too much raw materials, it will result in high cost of purchase, storage, and maintenance at the warehouse. Meanwhile, if a little bit of raw materials owned, it will cause a great loss to the company because they could not fulfill the sales demand. Abstract

Rapid development in communication encourage community interest in switching to a low-cost communications technology by relying on the internet known as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). VoIP is a technology that enables voice communications using IP (Internet Protocol) to run over packet networks. This technology works by changing the way certain sounds into a digital format that can be transmitted over an IP network. The results of this experiment is able to communicate from computer to computer, computer to PSTN, PSTN to the computer, and users can call from computer to PSTN number from anywhere without long distance charges. Keywords: VoIP, internet protocol, PSTN, server, client.

Abstract

In order to provide the satisfied services for the bandwidth users, network provider need to pay attenuation about telecommunication infrastructures are offered for customers.  The GMD link Tamparak Layung - Hajak is one of backbone or prime transmission link in Kalimantan. The Analyzing in this paper is purposed to analyze if the existing links are still  accordance with the standardized recommendations by ITU. The design results can be used in reference to determining the use of the device according to the specifications in the development of microwave radio communications with the route Tamparak Layung - Hajak order to take results in accordance with international standardization. Abstract

PT Federal Superior Chain Manufacturing is a motorcycle chains manufacturing company. PT Federal Superior Chain has a problem with the finishing line of drive chain OEM AHM. The finishing work station’s time is imbalance. It makes bottleneck between work station in finishing line. The purpose of this paper is to balance the finishing line of drive chain OEM AHM and reduce bottleneck between workstation in finishing line. The method used is Line balancing Methods and Time Measurement Methods. These improvements increase line efficiency, which was originally only 50.81% to 64.3%. These improvements also reduce cycle time on the finishing line from 4059.27 seconds to 3215.98 seconds. Abstract

The worship song’s number displayer is a device that useful to show numbers of worship song into seven segment display using bluetooth as medium communication. This device is using handphone as a transmitter to write an input number which will be shown, a microcontroller to process the input data, bluetooth module as a receiver, and seven segment display as a number displayer.Realization of the device is provided by making the circuit diagram on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and software which is using Java programming language on the handphone. The device experiment is provided by making a trial for each block and also entirely. The conclusion that can be made from the experiment is this device can work well at the maximum range 24 meters in the room with no obstacles, and 14 meters in the room with obstacles. Keywords:  bluetooth, microcontroller, seven segment

Abstract

The library is an institution that collects printed and recorded knowledge and manage them in a special way in order to meet the intellectual needs of its users through a variety of modes in the interaction of knowledge. Currently, many users of Ukrida‘s library said that Ukrida‘s library services can not meet their expectations. The objective of this study is improving the Ukrida‘s library services by using the Servqual and Quality Function Deployment methods. The results show that tangible and reliability dimention have the biggest gap and the variables that need to improve are depanding on others such as the number of locker and internet (multimedia) facilities. Based on House of Quality results, the proposed improvement is checking the condition of the books as well as providing critique and suggestion boxes. Keyword: Servqual, Quality Function Deployment, House of Quality

Abstract

Lamp switch is a very important component of switching on or extinguish lights. In general, the system which is used to control lamps is still being manually switched on or off. The manual system control is often difficult for humans in terms of operations. This paper presents an automatic switch circuit as an alternative to manual switches. Abstract

Implementation of routing protocol in a network enable router to dynamically exchange information about network condition. The goal of this research is to analyze and compare performance between RIP (Routing Information Protocol) as a distance vector routing protocol and OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) as a link state routing protocol. This research use topology with six router and four parameter of QoS (Quality of Service), that is delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput, to performance assessment. Network simulator software and AWK used to get the value of the QoS’s parameter and to verify the result of the implementation. The result of the research show that for overall, OSPF give better performance than RIP although OSPF seem to need longer time and bigger throughput for the initialization process. The kind of fit routing protocol use in a network is depend on number and spesification of the router and topology used. At the end, can be conclude that its better to doing the simulation before the implementation process. From the simulation we can know about the performance of routing protocol used. Keywords: RIP, OSPF, simulator, performance, QoS.

Abstract

Separable Programming is the approach used to solve nonlinier problems with the Simplex Method. This method is proven to solve nonlinier problem, which until now has no way like the standard linear programming problems. This paper tries to compare the process and results of  Separable Programming approach to the Kuhn-Tucker Condition. Proved that both give similar result, but in a different way. Abstract

The role of university libraries in the era of information technology advances need to be developed towards the integration of data. Establishment of library networks can be an effective means of learning communities. Problems faced is the interoperability or the ability to integrate different applications in co-operation between libraries in the network. To overcome these problems required Web Service technology, ie technology that can integrate applications, programming languages, and different platforms via http, so that different applications can communicate and exchange data. In this paper, a simulation designed a catalog of data integration between the Library A and Library B. Web Services that bridges the library network is created using PHP using NuSOAP class, while the database used in this simulation is at the Library A MySql Database, and Visual Foxpro Database with ODBC connector on the Library B. Keyword: Web service, NuSOAP, integrated online catalogue, interoperability
