Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know whether the problem-based learning model has an effect on the students' creative thinking ability in the social studies learning material of economic activity. To achieve this objective, the researcher used experimental technique using pretest-posttest control group design design using treatment model based on problem-based learning. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed by t-test comparative analysis. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of problem-based learning model on students' creative thinking ability. The existence of significant difference to students' creative thinking ability between using problem-based learning model and conventional learning model is proven in the acquisition table Mean 79.66 (experimental group)> 70,31 (control group) and test test result of 5,564 based on df 68 t calculate at 5% significance level of 2.00 hence the position of t-test 5,564> t-table 2,00 (α = 0,05). It can be concluded that the probability of error in this study is still below 0.05 with the high t-count price of 5,564 has a significance level of 0.000 which apparently its position is still far below the value α = 0.05. Thus this research succeeded in rejecting H0 at a significance level of 5%. Furthermore it can be concluded that H1 is proven true. It is concluded that the problem-based learning model has a positive effect on the ability of creative thinking on the social studies learning of grade five students of Ngadirejo State Elementary School in Kediri. Abstract

The objective of the study is to describe the form of learning communication in the classroom and the meaning of the students to the learning communication on verbal, non-verbal, interpersonal, group, and public communication. The research used qualitative approach with phenomenology study design. The result of the research is the expression of thoughts and feelings of students to verbal communication is easy to understand the material and dare to ask. The expression of students' thoughts and feelings toward non-verbal communication is fear when teachers speak with high intonation, but students feel happy and feel loved by the teacher's touch. Expression of thoughts and feelings of students to interpersonal communication is a feeling of fun when teachers ask news, the state of self, health, birthday celebrations, and attention when experiencing bullying. Expression of thoughts and feelings of students to group communication is a feeling of fun when learning groups, feelings of freedom to discuss and ask the task personally to the teacher and discipline when grouping students who are busy in the classroom to be advised teachers. Expression of thoughts and feelings of students to public communication is easy to understand the subject matter and feelings of pleasure when inserted humor in the lecture method. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase student activity and learning outcomes in science learning in fifth grade. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two learning meetings. The subject of this research is the fifth grader at the state elementary school of kawangkoan. Data collection techniques use tests, observations and documentation. The results showed that: (1) student learning activity in first cycle is 72,50% with active criterion and on second cycle is 76,15% with active criterion; (2) mastery of student learning outcomes in first cycle is 71,43% and second cycle is 100%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that by the method of demonstration can improve the quality of learning science subjects, that is: student activity and student learning outcomes of fifth grade state elementary school Kawangkoan. Abstract

“Becak” is one of three dimensional visual media that can be concrete the student’s understanding towards the material of transplantation. Because of becak media, student’s can see participate. Student’s will be easy to understand the material because it’s practical and should be visualized. The aim of this media is student’s can practice “Becak” (Belajar Cangkok) media in the IPA learning. It’s to develop the critical thinking skills of student’s elementary school. This research uses experiental method and research variabel uses pre-test and post-test. By using this method, the researcher will know the understanding from each student. How the apply the media correctly. By the concrete media and the participation of students’s the learning process will be impressive. Abstract

A common purpose in this research is to develop text book of Indonesian language based culture East Java with PAKEM model to improve study results students class 4 primary school. As for a special purpose of this research is: (1) described the process develop text book Indonesian language based culture East Java with PAKEM model to improve study results students class 4 elementary school (2) described the quality of the text book of Indonesian language based culture East Java with PAKEM model. This research including the kind of research of development by design 4D model. Development standard covering specific stage, design, and development. The result of developing shows that the development of covering standard definition stage with the results in the form of a map learning needs; the stage design with the results of the draft a text book; and phase of development by teaching design the final text book. The quality of the text book that have been developed are considered to be of the components in the teaching material, the appearance of, language, and graphic. Each of the components won a high percentage 97,9%, 100%, 96,4%, and 93,8% .The acquisition observations in the class IV on the activities of teachers is 92.5 % and results of learning outcome increased by 18 point. Abstract

In science lesson of elementary school, there are some problems related to the students' learning outcomes that are still low. This is proved by the average score of students is 69 and viewed from the percentage of students' learning achievement is 38%. This is because the students understanding related to the preparation of teaching administrations are still lack. Another factor that influences is lecturer teaching method is not appropriate. The learning that is applied so far is teacher-centered, so that students are more passive and less involved in learning activity. The objective of this study is to improve the students learning outcomes of science lesson of elementary school. This research used classroom action research with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research subjects are A class of 6th semester of Primary School Teacher Education Department, Nusantara PGRI Kediri University. The data of this study are collected by observation and test techniques. The results showed that the average increase in student learning outcomes from pre-cycle activities of 69, in the first cycle 73, and on the second cycle increased to 83. While the percentage of students' learning achievement also increased from pre-cycle activity by 38%, in the first cycle to 59%, and in second cycle reached 87%. Based on the results study, it can be concluded that the module based on cognitive conflict can improve the understanding and learning outcomes of students in Science Lesson of Elementary School of Primary School Teacher Education Department, Nusantara PGRI Kediri University. Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of character education in elementary school of Kreatif, Karangan district, Trenggalek. Approach that used in this research is qualitative approach and this research type is a case study. This research is focused on the case of planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles of character education implementation in elementary school of Kreatif. The character education that is planned and implemented by elementary school of Kreatif is 3, that is the education of the character of discipline, honesty, and religious. Character education applied in elementary school of Kreatif not only carried out in the learning process but also implemented outside the learning process. Educators do not just ask their students to train and instill character education in themselves. Educators also set an example of appropriate behavior with character education that has been planned and applied to elementary school of Kreatif. Keywords: character education, elementary school.

Abstract

The result of observation in state elementary school Mangkujayan I at learning process on 5th grade which is still conventional so student’s mindset’s development and creativity is less. There are some teachers especially 5th grade’s teachers which only tell the learning material to the students and the students only listen, make a note and memorize the material. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes, especially on science subjects class V using SAVI learning model. This research uses classroom action research or CAR. This research procedure uses four steps of cycle such as planning, implementating, observing and reflecting step. Data collection technique is cognitive test and data collection instrument is test and observation instrument. Analysis of the data obtained shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes that can be seen from the average percentage of the results in the first cycle is 65% which means there are 13 of 20 students who complete. There is 90% increasing on second cycle which means 18 of 20 students who can be succes on learning. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the implementation of SAVI learning model can increase the study performance of students on natural studies of 5th grade of SDN Mangkujayan I. Abstract

This research begins from the problems students of primary school teacher education Universitas Muhammadiah Sidoarjo which is low in developing their understanding on the concept of science. Students are still having difficulties when understanding the basic concept materials of science. The average midterm students exam score is 64.57. It is still less than 65. This research was conducted with the aim to know the influence of Predict-Observe-Explain learning model to understanding the concept of science of students. Based on this objective, this research uses experimental quantitative research design. Researchers use descriptive statistics with the type of experimental method used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instrument used by the researcher is a science comprehension concept test sheet. To test the hypothesis and answer the problem formulation of data analysis technique used is N-Gain test. The results showed that Predict-Observe-Explain learning model influenced the understanding of student science concept. It can be seen from the result of the average score before getting treatment by giving pretest about 66,28. Furthermore, after being given treatment by using Predict-Observe-Explain model of learning PGSD students solve the Posttest problem by getting an average score of 83.14. Then the averages are used to identify the influence of the Predict-Observe-Explain model of learning on the understanding of the student science concept. From the result of N-Gain value shows that its influence is 0,49 with medium criterion. Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes in English subjects in two classes, with first experimental class using scramble method and second experimental class using word square method. This type of research is quantitative research with quasi experiment type. In this research the sampling technique using saturated sampling technique. The sample in this research is the students of class IIIA and students of class IIIB at SDIT At-Taufiq Tangerang City. Instruments in this study using objective tests in short form. Based on the calculation using t-test, it is found that t-count > t-table (3,1> 2,011) at significant level α = 0,05. The average score in experimental class I using scramble method is 69.58 and the average score in experiment class II using word square method is 78.2. So the word square method is better than scramble method. Keywords: scramble method, word square method, student learning outcomes
