Abstract

The financial report is a medium of communication used by the company. Provision of regular financial reports by publicly traded companies interpreted each publicly traded company that has gained the participation or attempt to maintain stability and increase the stock price that has been sold. The stock price is defined as the market price (market value), that is the price prevailing in the market at a given time. Appraisal (valuation) usually refers to the estimated intrinsic value of a company or its shares. In assessing a stock can be used two methods of analysis, namely technical analysis and fundamental analysis. Besides influenced by fundamental factors which are variable in fundamental analysis, stock prices are also often influenced by the growth of the company.This study took samples from 15 companies in a company incorporated in LQ 45 in Indonesian Stock Exchange is publishing the report of the years 2004 to 2008. Moreover also the data obtained from ICMD (Indonesian Capital Market Directory). This research is explanatory researce associative and analytical methods used are multiple regression analysis to explain the influence of independent variables and the dependent variable.Results from this study show simultaneous existence of a significant effect of ROE, EPS, PER, Interest Rates, Inflation, and Total Assets of Stock Price. Partially, ROE has a significant positive effect on stock price, EPS is a significant positive influence stock price, PER significant negative effect on Stock Prices, Interest Rates significant negative effect on Stock Prices, Inflation negatih no significant effect on stock price and changes in Total Assets have positive no significant effect on stock price

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure technical efficiency on Departements in University of Lampung periode 2009. Data were analyzed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model CRS and VRS input oriented. The input variables are percent of doctor, average education’s cost, and number of student. The output variable is average GPA. The results show that DMU 11 and DMU 17 was the best practise for CRS and VRS model. Based on CRS model, there are two best practice’s. On the other hand, based on VRS model there are six best practice’s. In general, basen on CRS model the technical efficiency in Departements are low. It is indicated that technical efficiency scores of the majority of the Departements are below average score in year of observation. Keywords: Technical efficiency, education

Abstract

Every company needs a source of funding for operational activities of the company.  Source of funds can be obtained from internal sources (retained earnings) and can be from external companies, ie loans, so that company must determine the right composistion of capital structure from the various funding sources.  In determining the appropriate capital structure, the company must consider several factors from the characteristic of the company, such as asset structur, firm size, growth opportunities and company profitability.By using multiple regression analysisi with SPSS software, this study aims to determine influence both simultaneously and partially of assets structure, firm size, growth opportunity and profitability on the capital structure in the pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange.The result showed that there was a good influence both simultaneously and partially between asset structure, firm size, growth opportunities and profitability on the capital structure.Keyword: asset structure, firm size, growth, profitability , capital structure

Abstract

The research objective is to investigate the effect of value and lifestyle on consumer’s environmental behaviour. This study use convenience sampling technique to collect 433 respondents in Bandar Lampung. Results support the hypothesis. The research reveals that value and lifestyle can influence significantly toward consumer’s environmental behaviour.  Keyword: Environmental value, lifestyles and green behaviour

Abstract

This research investigates into the capital structure determinants of Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in LQ45 firms during the period of 2004-2011. For this purpose, leverage is taken as dependent variable while tangibility, growth, size and  profitability are selected as independent variables. The study has shown that  tangibility and profitability are significant in explaining variation in leverage of the NBFIs in LQ45 firms while growth and size are insignificant in explaining variation in leverage of the NBFIs in LQ45 firms.Keywords: Leverage, tangibility, growth, size,  profitability, pecking order theory.

Abstract

         This research was aimed to know difference of the financial performance of the conventional banking and the syariah banking. Financial measured by using ratios: ratio of capital to asset deliberated by according to risk, ratio of earning asset which classified to earning asset (KAP. I), ratio of allowance for possible earning losses to classified earning asset ( KAP.II), ratio  of net operating income to operating income (NPM) representing proxy from management, ratio of profit before interest and tax  to total asset ( ROA), ratio of operating expenses to operating income (BOPO), ratio of current  assets to  current liabilities and ratio of loan to deposit (LDR). This research use  the saturated simple, that  all bank of  state of  the public ownerships (BUMN) and bank of the Muamalat Indonesia, by using data of the secondary publicized by  the Bank Indonesia each of semester, between period  2003-2011.  The analysis instruments used was Multivariate Discriminant Analysis (MDA).         Results of this research indicate that the CAMEL approach can determine banking financial performance. Pursuant to statistical test really there was financial performance difference between conventional banking and syariah banking, where conventional banking has better finance performance from syariah banking. This research found that CAR dan LDR; significantly differentiate conventional banking finance performance and syariah banking, in which the CAR was the most dominant.Keyword :   Capital, Assets, Management, Equity  and Liquidity.

Abstract

The impact of the Internet in the financial and accounting fields has created vast electronic marketplaces for the purchase and sale of stock, bonds, and other financial products. With rapid technological advantages, growing trading volume, and an increased demand for a more efficient trading environment, the majority of futures exchanges have introduced various forms of electronic trading. Despite this directive, a few futures exchanges still use open outcry trading. On the other sides, The impact of electronic trading in the future exchange is very significant. This article compares open outcry and electronic trading in the ability to create liquidity, the ability to reduce direct cost, and the ability to make global links.Key words: Internet, open outcry trading, electronic financial trading

Abstract

This research explores how companies in Indonesia address on corporate sustainability reporting issue. In details, this research also attempts to explore some questions; how companies incorporate issues of stakeholder, social, economic, environment and generic in their CSR reports, and what the relative status of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is. Secondary data was collected through an examination of companies’ annual reports, sustainability reports, and CSR reports among Indonesian companies based on Indonesia Sustainability Reporting Award 2010. In order to answer the research questions, a combination of some frameworks, namely a framework to analyze and compare codes of conduct by Ans Kolk and Rob van Tulder (2001), a framework to analyze the implementation likelihood of sustainability report by Ans Kolk (2004), and GRI reporting guidelines (2006) were used to score and analyze of CSR reporting of those companies. This findings show that ten companies in ISRA 2010 report stakeholder issues and their achievements in conducting stakeholder engagement. Moreover, they take into account their stakeholders in their CSR reports. Furthermore, in terms of CSR reporting guidelines, CSR reporting standards are needed as guidelines for companies to produce CSR reporting. In some extent CSR reporting standards allow authorities to transparently and effectively measure and assess of CSR activities.  Key words: Corporate sustainability reporting, stakeholders, CSR, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Abstract

This research is to find out the relation between organizational change and commitment against the organization. Cope with the organizational change is an effort by the employee to face the work situation changes. Employee commitment is individual identification and their participation in the process of achieving organizational goals. This research uses incidental sampling technique. The data collected was analyzed by partial correlation. The results showed that 1) there is a significant and positive relation between organizational change and employee 2) there is a positive connotation between long working experience and commitment to the organization. It could be concluded that the better cope with organizational change, the higher employee commitment.Keywords:Organizational Change, Commitment

Abstract

Changes in the textile industry in Majalaya is a necessity to strengthen the competitiveness of companies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of change management in the textile industry in West Java Majalaya. This type of research is descriptive. In this study used an inductive approach with a qualitative analysis method. Collecting data using in-depth interviews and observation. Informants in this study is the textile businessman, chairman of textile employers Majalaya, and workers in the textile industry. The results showed that the implementation of change management in the textile industry in Majalaya done slowly by changing the soft part and the hard part company organization. Although running slowly, this change has been able to improve competitiveness and save a lot of textile companies in Majalaya. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of change management in the textile industry in Majalaya done through efficiency and rejuvenation machine of production, changing the culture and way of thinking internal party company. Keywords : Change management, soft part changes, hard part changes
