Abstract

The Internet grows broader from search engines to social networking sites like Facebook. Facebook offered facilities and new function (for examples: sosial network, micro blogging, messenger, image sharing, social bookmarking, blogging, video sharing, and Internet marketing)  that lucrative to their users where the users could make friends, chat, and even discuss. Facebook likes a real life is not free from crime or even cybercrime. There are many kinds of cybercrime on Facebook, one of them is cyberstalking (a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear). Now, there are many cases of complaint that included authorities by certain people consequence of slander, kidnapping, fraud, defamation through Facebook. Thus, researcher wanted to know about cause of development of these cases. The purpose of this research was to find out why being the victims of cyberstalking and how communication privacy management done by the victims. This research also wants to find out the media literacy and media diet, along with how prevention and precaution for cyberstalking victims on Facebook. The approach of this research was qualitative with case study method using pattern of pairing techniques. Data collection techniques used in this research are Internet Ethnography, participant observation, interviews, media uses diaries, documentation, and archive recordings.The results from this research was cyberstalking victims on Facebook did not fully applied communication privacy management. In addition, media literacy has not applied to Facebook by them. The researchers interested to create a model of Facebook Literacy as prevention and precaution for cyberstalking victims. Facebook Literacy is a model which includes techniques and ways to use Facebook securely to prevent cyberstalking.Key words: Communication Privacy Management; Facebook; Cyberstalking

Abstract

Doing self adaptation is not easy. It needs (a) long process. The self adaptation to the society cannot be separated from the interaction and communication process, within this research was called as interpersonal communication. Adaptation is not only needed by a person who has a normal sensory. But it is also needed by someone that has incomplete sensory capability, (such) as double disability mute and deaf.The theme of interpersonal communication of double sensory disability deaf and mute adaptation to the social environment was taken because the context of the double sensory disability people must do activities (like) normal people. It makes researcher want to know more about the daily living of those people who have sensory ability limitation. This research is interesting because the sources are people with double sensory disability. Besides, in this research the researcher is going to learn vocal non-verbal language and also symbolic language that has been used in their daily life.The type of research that will be used in this research is qualitative and using symbolic interaction as the approaches. For the first time, symbolic interaction was introduced by Herbert Blumer in 1962. Herbert Blumer said that words of symbolic interaction refered to the typical character from interaction that happen between human. The typicality especially in a fact that human interpret or define action between one another and not suddenly react without a reason or reciprocal. So, human interaction is mediated by the usage of symbols, by interpretation or defining meaning of others actions.     Based on the result of the research and the explanation also based on the matter point, this research could be concluded that double sensory disability people of deaf and mute, do activities as the people with no sensory disability. They can socialize with the society and have strong will to be success. The interaction and also interpersonal communication that being done help them to built their self concept. The most influential factor on their self adaptation is experience. Bad experience can cause bad personality and it could be happen at the opposite.Key words:  Symbolic interaction, interaction, interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Movie, as one of communication media, is very effective because of its power and ability to reach many social segments. Laskar Pelangi the Movie is Indonesian movie which uses educational as its theme. The movie, which is based on the true story, likely the real condition of amount of this country residents.The aim of this study is to comprehend the representation of Lintang’s determination to reach proper education in remote area in Laskar Pelangi the Movie. The method which is used in this study is qualitative descriptive semiotic analysis. The data analysis is done by semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes to discuss about the greater definition range in order to difference the denotative and connotative meaning from the signs of this movie.The first result of Roland Barthes semiotic analysis is end to the myth reading, and the myth that can be arrested in this movie is to reach education we also need enough material. Nevertheless, that myth can be broken by the other scene in this movie, that is the economic inability cannot stop someone to get what he or she dreamed especially education. Second, as a medium which can educates and critize, Laskar Pelangi the movie includes social critic to the goverment, parents, education practitioner, and also students.Key words: Movie, Semiotic Analysis, Lintang, Laskar Pelangi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek teknologi  komputer terhadap pembelajaran kosa kata Bahasa Ingrris. Untuk mengetahui apakah Pembelajaran Bahasa Berbantuan Komputer (PBBK) secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran kosakata, sebuah eksperimen tindakan kelas dilaksanakan terhadap 2 (dua) kelompok pebelajar, kelompok eksperimen (kelas A),  terdiri dari 22 orang, mempelajari kosakata secara mandiri dengan menggunakan metode PBBK melalui sebuah perangkat lunak yang dilengkapi dengan teks, gambar diam, dan video, sedangkan kelompok kontrol (kelas B), terdiri dari 20 orang, mempelajari kosakata secara konvensional melalui materi tertulis (non PBBK) di bawah arahan pengajar. Untuk mengukur keefektifan metode PBBK, sebuah pretest dan posttest dilaksanakan pada awal dan akhir eksperimen kemudian nilai yang dicapai para peserta dianalisis dengan mempergunakan t test for independent variable. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara kelas A yang belajar dengan metode PBBK dengan kelas B yang mempergunakan metode konvensional dengan nilai t = -4,447 (sig=0.00).Kata-kata Kunci: Vocabulary learning, vocabulary test, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).

Abstract

The main idea of this article tend to contrast of multicultural understanding between the state and society. Brand and identity  are the two identical concept. In one side there is government’s effort to promote a state branding. And the other side, the society drive their identity as life background. There is an interesting multicultural debate related its concept and implementation. This paper try to reviewing the debate between nationalist and globalist view in Indonesian process toward establish state branding as strategical foundation to promoting cultural diplomacy. I emphasize three characteristical surrounding Branding Indonesia as conceptual and policy framework. First, there is something problematic impact according national culture building had designed by Government in New Order regime. Second, how to manage that cultural assets can be revitalizing and do not make sense in term of under cooptation by political power. Third, Branding Indonesia can be effective if the Government works is intended to matching between civil wisdom as branding from bellow with state policy infiltration as branding from above. Abstract

This article discuss about existence of corporate is not coincidence, but it is something “given”, therefore corporate cannot detached in the environment. Company prosperity not ethical if it enjoyed by self, while the citizen has a problem in economic and life. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program is not just euphoria for corporate responsibility to citizen, but is needed a big change from “having fun” becomes “mandatory activities” and finally become a requirement of corporation.A harmony life and responsibility each other between corporate and stakeholder and the environment is a big result from the existence of corporate, because a corporate with a good CSR is sustainable in the end.A good CD (Community Development) need some conditions, like, good framework, government role, involvement of stakeholders, performance assessment and the change and the change of execution pattern from CD to citizen become self-supporting and CSR role be development to importance which enough wide.  Key words: Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Development

Abstract

A leader method would be easily distorted when their moral acts are not based on the living point of view specified by Allah and Rasul. The commitment regarding the right thing for such leader would not last for long. The true leader is a leader whose actions are properly based on their function as Khalifatullah and Abdullah. The true leaders are aiming for Ridho Allah  as the expression of their beliefs.Key word: Leader; moral method; Ridho Allah
