Abstract

Statistical Data from the Ministry showed that Social abandoned children in Indonesia reached 4.8 million children. Most of them are accommodated in orphanage. But the orphanage they lived is still much less fulfilled facilities, so that they tend to get bored with the activities in the orphanages. It needs other activities that could eliminate their bored feeling. One of the methods is smart education activity such as an introduction to the profession, self-employment training, and write training. After smart education activities implemented at the orphanage, it will open their mindset and will increase their independence.

Abstract

Trash and water until now has always been a problem, trash seen as something dirty and should be discarded. When carelessly discarded will be a source of environmental contamination and human resources for the disease, even when disposed in place does not mean the problem was solved, a new problem arises because landfills. Therefore, to change the perception of waste, which must be disposed of into something that can be exploited. This condition occurs in Cangkring Village district. Cantigi Kab. Indramayu, some people have a bad habit cangkring village is throwing garbage on the banks of rivers, and the surrounding environment, lack of information and lack of facilities resulted in low awareness of the hedge on the health problems they are experiencing a skin disease that is 3.23%, 1.35% deworming, 1.25 cholera, dengue fever 0.4%, 13.3% diarrhea, hepatitis 0.3%, and 0.07% of malaria. (Health Research Indramayu: 2007). The method is performed in the execution of the program begins with early socialization, training cadre includes technical debriefing program, composting training, training and training craft manufacture water treatment. Once equipped with the next activity is the dissemination and implementation of public hygiene MAS program which was facilitated by a team from making garbage sorting, water and waste management and marketing. All stages aims to encourage people to improve clean lifestyle with community development activities through the management and utilization of waste and clean water. Results that have been achieved from this activity is the production of handicraft products from packaging waste and water and can be sold for cash as well as increasing awareness of the organization and the quality of public health.

Abstract

English is the international language that is used as a communication in all activities that are International. It should be recognized that not all students understand with English, especially for elementary school students. English is considered to be one of the difficult lesson because English became the third after regional laguages and indonesian language. Teachers doesn’t variety of learning methods resulted in lowboring for student spirit. Therefore increase the motivation to learn required the existence of alternative effective English learning and fun. One alternative is given by using the method “sing to play”. This method is the singing while playing a fun to stimulate a childs brain in order to more rapid understand the lesson.

Abstract

According to data from 2008-2012 recorded there are 945 students PSBR have and are getting guidance to the percentage of success is 60.63% independent/ working and 39.37% status is not clear. The purpose of this activity is implementation of a waste management training to be creative, innovative and economy products like sofa from plastic bottles, plus-pack (stationery box), make growing media from waste paper and manufacture of plastic fruit crops such as citrus fruit plants, peppers and eggplant. In addition, the workshop was also held bussines workshop to finalize their business plan opportunities that they would do after graduating from social institutions.

Abstract

Coral reefs are ecosystems which have the diversity of fauna and productivity high. Besides coral reef ecosystems is also a place to live, a place foraging (feeding ground), care area (nursery ground) and spawn (spawning ground) for a variety of marine life. In the village Sinaulu Jaya is one of the areas that have the potential for major coral species Acropora sp, but due to the activities of the local people in fishing activities in ways that are not environmentally friendly such as the use of bombs that make coral reefs in this area many degraded or damaged. To address the sustainability of catching up with the environmentally unfriendly then the initiative to socialize and transplantation.

Abstract

Bantar Gebang is known as the slum areas where landfills and economic conditions of the majority of the people are below the poverty line. As you know, poverty has multiple effects on the community; one of them is the difficulty of obtaining a quality education. Some consequences of this poverty is the teenage mindset Bantar Gebang less visionary, tough economic conditions improved, and a lack of productivity and creativity. The method used to solve this problem is to analyze the real needs of the target communities, field surveys, completed the licensing administration, recruitment of participants, making materials, training and guidance, visit, and evaluation. Results and the achievement of the program is the implementation of the program Youth Camp for three days to form a teenage mindset Bantar Gebang, pekanan training in a few months for monitoring and realization of values in the material leaderpreneurship pekanan mentoring, as well as joint projects of the participants with the formation house studio Flower (Creative Home Society Bantar Gebang) which has activities such as the manufacture of products / works from recycled materials derived from waste from the mountain Bantar Gebang. Some products / works have been sold which will be used to fully benefit the education of children Bantar Gebang own. Some participants also managed dikader so they are ready to contribute and assist program managers in completing a program agenda. The work of the studio Flower House had participated in the exhibition of works at the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UI, could get coverage of Alif TV, and also had to get a visit from overseas such as Malaysia.

Abstract

Issues related to adolescent sexual deviation cases and drug abuse in Indonesia continues to increase. A total of 75 % of the 3.2 million drug users in Indonesia was a teenager . Of the 84 respondents who had experienced adolescent unwanted pregnancy , 60 % of whom have an abortion . The case with the teenagers in the Localization Dolly , Surabaya . The existence of Dolly contribute 71 % of the adolescent premarital sexual behavior in the vicinity. Meanwhile , youth are expected to play a role in movement and free sex antimadat in the region has not seen the real Dolly . This community service program aimed at restoring the role of youth organizations as an active community and helpless in society in movement and free sex antimadat promotive and preventive centered community -based approach , through the formation of peer educators . The method used is based on a theoretical framework Precede - PROCEED as a frame work development of health education programs . This program is proven to improve cognition in the Dolly teen population at risk as cases of sexual perversion and drug abuse . This activity produces an output in the form of the Youth Center as youth centers , triggering a re- active youth organizations in the target area . The key point of this program s success is the involvement of the subject s empowerment in decision-making that aims to arouse the internal motivation that makes the subject of empowerment as a necessity . Abstract

Proposed program student creativity Benzene Ring Games: Six Games As Interactive Media Science Education in the Elementary School Students To Kenjeran, Surabaya, is a method of learning science through game addressed to the grade 3 MI Al-Muthmainnah Surabaya where quality science education is very low in the school. This is due to the lack of facilities for science teaching and learning in these schools are only focuses on theory. Benzene Ring Games aims to improve understanding grade 3 MI Al-Muthmainnah to science that has an average value of science lowest among all grade levels. Inside there are six Benzene Ring Games sorts of games are used in materials science to provide grade 3 MI Al-Muthmainnah. After the program was applied in the Benzene Ring Games learning school in MI Al-muthmainnah, the level of understanding of grade 3 MI Al-Muthmainnah the science lesson can be increased by 62.38% and 100% students scored> 75 on the exam IPA school.

Abstract

There are still many discrimination treatment aimed at Special Need Children, either in terms of social and educational, so it takes a special media which can facilitate the communities in accessing any information about Special Need Children. Special Need Children Library Program (SENYUM) is a library which can simplify communities in accessing any information about Special Need. This Program in collaboration with Autism Care Indonesia subdivisions Solo. SENYUM also conducts several activities, discussion forums, book mobile library, printing of journals and handbook, as well as writing and publishing a book entitled PELANGI. SENYUM has 950 copies of books and 265 members.

Abstract

Gunungpati is one of subdistrict in Semarang city that is rich in natural sources, one of them is jackfruit which is produced up to 1.481,25 ton per years. Usually, the jackfruit is sold to the consumer directly without any processes. Hence, it is often rotten before sold. Proceed the jackfruit into syrup, jam and juice could increase its selling value. In other sides, most of people in Gunungpati work as labor with low income. It is expected that training may increase their skill and income. Survey showed that 77,7% of the people are eager to join the training and create a unit group as a media to empower the community in jackfruit production. The P-IRT (Home Industry License) was obtained to ensure the consumer on product safety hence, it supports continuity of the activity. The training not only result in skilled community but also increase their income up to 81,36% by selling the training product outcome.
