Journal of Adabiya is a scholarly journal published biannually, February and August by Fakultas Adab and Humaniora of UIN of Ar-Raniry with registered number 2567/SK.Ditjen.PPG/STT/1999, dated July 6, 1999 (ISSN 1411-6588). On February 2, 2017 the Jurnal Adabiya has been approved its online ISSN 2549-1776 and February 7, 2017 was awarded ISSN number for printing version, that is ISSN 2549-3124. It is focused on >strong>Social, Literature, Arabic Literature, Humanities, Library and Information Science issues. The Journal is nationally circulated and managed by professionals in their respective areas of expertise. An article published in the journal have been reviewed by experts in their field both national and international which their name can be found in the last page of the journal.

<![CDATA[Indonesia is the largest country in the world community with more than 200 million Muslims. However, when Islam arrived, where the first Muslim set foot in this area, and who was the bearer of Islam to Indonesia, are still big question that historians continue to debate whichraise a not ending discussion that ends with the birth of the various theories about the process of arrival of Islam in Indonesia. At least, there are four theories emerged by historians by bringing forwatd a variety of sources and interpretation of diverse arguments. Those theories are the theory of India, the theory of Arabic, the theory of Persian and later the theory of China.]]>

<![CDATA[مل ّخص البحث: يسعى هذا البحث إىل تدقيق النظر يف أداة من أدوات التشبيه االصطالحي - وهي: (كأ ّن) - من حيثحقيقتها، وداللتها، وعالقتها بالنظم عند البالغيني. أما احليثية األوىل - وهي يف حتديد حقيقتها - فقد تناول البح ُثموقف العلماء يف ذلك بني القائلني برتكيبها والقائلني ببساطتها. وأما احليثية الثانية - وهي يف بيان داللتها - فقد َعَر َضاختالفَهم يف ذلك بني القول بأن (كأ ّن) دالة على التشبيه إطالقا، وبني القول بأن إفادهتا التشبيهَ مقيّدةٌ ببعض احلاالت، وأن هلا دالالت أخرى غري التشبيه. وأما احليثية الثالثة - وهي يف تبيني عالقة (كأ ّن) بالنظم عند البالغيني - فقد تطّرق إىلُختم البحثموقف اإلمام عبد القاهر اجلرجاين يف املسألة، وقام بشرح بعض كالمه، وموازنته بكالم غريه من البالغيني. مثباحلديث عن قوة مقدار الشبه يف التشبيه هبذه األداة. ]]>

<![CDATA[Peusijuek is one of traditional rituals in the Acehness culture. This tradition is usually done to invoke salvation, peace and happiness in life. As one of the cultural heritages, the peusijuek tradition is rich in values and special meaning. One of them is the use of plants in the ritual of peusijuek, which is used as symbols for hopes and prays. This paper would like to discuss about the types of plants used in the peusijuek tradition so that it can be recognized by the wider community, as to increase knowledge about the cultural traditions of the Acehnese people.]]>

<![CDATA[this research is aimed to explain the symbols and tools that are used in a ritual of Mano Pucok in South Aceh District. And also exploring the relation between society and ancient wisdom of their ancestor. Mano pucok traditionmainly held on wedding ceremonial and circumsition tradition, this research using qualitative method of analytical descriptive to explore the social phenomena by conducting etnograpy approachment. The result is confirmed that mano pucok is more that just a normal showering but as an institutional of religious values and ancient wisdom.Keywords: mano pucok, tradition, wedding, circumsition.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out Librarian in Perspective of Information Manager (Case Study on Library Science Undergraduate Student of Adab and Humanities Faculty of UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh). This research uses quality descriptive approach, an approach that emphasizes more on the deductive and inductive deduc- tion process and on the analysis of the dynamics of relationship between observed phenomena, using scientific logic. The students of Library Science were observed to be 54 people for three months. For this research the author will explain in detail about UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh Main Library in the perspective of information managers for llibrary users especially Library Science students class of 2016 intake. The research results are; Librarians are not yet fully able to become information managers at UIN Ar-Raniry Main Library of Banda Aceh, due the small number of librarians for this size of a college library. Lack of librarian contribution to be- come information manager, in order to be able to fulfill requirement of information for their users, in this case undergraduate student of Library Science. Regarding the perspective that a library must be able to provide all forms of information required has not been done well, especially the information needs fot this such of users in this case Library Science students.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik sastra sufi yang terdapat dalam Syair Perahu karangan Hamzah Fansuri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research, dengan menggunakan pendekatan sastra sufi. Adapun kesimpulan yang telah diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah: bahwa Syair Perahu memiliki beberapa karakteristik di antaranya diawali dengan prolog sebagai kata pengatar untuk pembaca; makna simbolisme perahu sebagai seorang manusia yang hidup di atas dunia ini dan ia suatu saat ia akan hidup di alam akhirat; deskripsi tentang eskatologi alam kubur; konsep wahdatul wujud; konsep iman, tauhid dan makrifat; upaya arabisasi Bahasa Melayu. Dari hasil penelitian ini juga nampak bahwa tuduhan sesat terhadap Hamzah Fansuri oleh sebagian orang tidaklah tepat, karena ia masih memiliki iman yang kuat dan tetap melaksanakan syariat.]]>

<![CDATA[Musthafa Luthfi Al- Manfaluthi (1876-1924) is a famous Arabian poet from Egypt who has given a real contribution and influence for development of modern Arab prose specifically and Arab’s literature generally. The intellectual maturity and his writing has been a foundation of his emotional awareness toward humanity in his writing Al Nadharat, such as a commitment to preserve traditions and community’s values, commitment to perform a social reform and an advocation for people in need. His call to defend people under repressive authority and poor people is based on cultural treasure of Arab. This article aims to discuss the background of education, life, literature personality, social and writings of Al Manfaluthi and also the characteristic of his writing Al Nadharat from its language structure and thoughts and method of esthetical expression, and also to discover humanism dimension instituted in his writing, which came from Egypt society during that time. ]]>
