Abstract

There are many roads in urban areas where the concentration is the traffic flow of vehicles andpedestrians. This condition causes the demanding needs of road widening more and more arefound in the area to smooth flow of vehicular traffic. But on the other hand, attention topedestrian safety is often overlooked. This can be seen from the absence of adequatepedestrian facilities such as a lack of pedestrian facilities in the area of the region which is wherethe concentration of pedestrians and vehicles, pavement condition is not good. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of pedestrian facilities and find outa suitable pedestrian crossing on Jl. Emmi Saelan Tatura Mall in front of Palu City. Data volume ofvehicles and pedestrians have been collected through a survey of traffic. Volume of data trafficcarried on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 6 hours of peak. Data volume of pedestrians crossingthe road is done by observation segment length of 100 m for 6 hours busy. The study found that the characteristics of pedestrians on Jl. Emmi Saelan at Home Mall TaturaPalu, is dominated by pedestrian age group aged 21-61 years (77.14%), dominated by femalesex (74.29%), type of work is dominated by the student / students (42.86%), education level isdominated by SMA (58.57%) and the purpose of the trip was dominated by shopping (60%). Typea suitable crossing facilities at the study sites based on the value of PV2, P and V is the pedestrianbridge. This means that existing pedestrian facilities in accordance with needs.

Abstract

The use of natural asphalt (asbuton) in road pavement construction has been widely researched anddeveloped. One of them is a mixture of petroleum asphalt with asbuton. The purpose of this study wasto determine how the effect of granular Asbuton on a mixture AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete-BinderCourse).Type of Granular Asbuton used is Asbuton Type 15/25. The amount of Granular Asbuton used inasphalt mix are 7%, and 8% of total weight of the mixture. The number of test specimens in this studywere 117 specimens consisting of 54 to PKAO, 27 for the PRD, 24 for variation of the collision, 12 for theMarshall Immersion test and 6 to Optimum Asphalt Content.Based on the results of tests performed on a mixture of AC-BC with a modified bitumen 60/70 andgranular asbuton amount of 7% found that the Optimum Asphalt Content is 5.2%, Density values is2.378 gr/cm3 , VIM value is 4.871%, VMA value is 15.456%, the VFB value is 68.485%, the Marshall Stabilityvalue is1333.571 kg, the Marshall Quetion value is 333 690 kg/mm and Marshall Immersion Value is82.08%. Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course Mixture with the addition granular asbuton amount of 8%found that the Optimum Asphalt Content is 6,2%, Density values is 2,322 gr/cm3, VIM value is 5,01%,VMA value is 17,443%, VFB value is 71,303%, Marshall Stability value is 1563,27 kg, Marshall Questionvalue is 386.95 kg/mm and Marshall Immersion value is 82,45%.Based on the percentage of granular asbuton in Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course Mixture shows thatthe 8% of granular asbuton can be increased Marshall Stability and Marshall Immersion and OptimumAsphalt Content values.

Abstract

Traffic flow is due to the interaction between the system of activities with transport network system inthe form of movement of vehicles on the highway. This type of land use led to a different traffic flowfluctuations every street throughout the day.The purpose of this study was to determine fluctuations in traffic, timing and magnitude of peak hours ,percentage of traffic is covered by long observation of traffic flows.Traffic flow data collection done on location, KH. Wahid Hashym Street, Sis Al Jufri Street andPangeran Diponegoro street, West Palu. The type of data on the study include primary data andsecondary data. The primary data include the volume of data traffic flow on roads. Secondary dataincludes data of road networks, land use maps, maps of the Palu City. The primary data werecollected with a traffic volume survey on Monday – Thursday and Saturday. The result of the study was to found that the secondary arterial road network system, the peak hourson weekdays occurred at 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the traffic flow of 2168 pcu /h, at the weekendoccurred at 08:00 to 09:00 with traffic flow for 2330 pcu/h. At the secondary collector road networksystem, the peak hours on weekdays occur in at 07.00 - 08.00, the traffic flow of 1928 pcu/hour, atthe weekend occurred at 4:00 p.m. to 17:00, the traffic flow of 1638 pcu h.The results of fluctuation analysis of traffic flow on weekdays for a secondary arterial roads was foundthat if the survey was conducted for 16 hours then the time most remains are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.,with the volume of traffic is 92% covered. When the survey was conducted for 12 hours then the besttime is 07:00 to 19:00, traffic volume is 73.42% covered. If the volume of traffic surveys carried out for 8hours, the best time is at 11:00 to 19:00, traffic volume data covered is 48.68%.The results on the secondary collector streets on working hours to get that when the traffic volumesurvey for 16 hours then the best time is 06:00 to 22:00 with traffic volume covered 92.34%. . When thesurvey was conducted for 12 hours then the best time is 07:00 to 19:00, traffic volume is 77.02%covered. . If the volume of traffic surveys carried out for 8 hours, the best time is at 07:00 to 15:00,traffic volume data covered is 54.15%.

Abstract

The increasing number of passengers, goods and aircraft traffic flow in each year in Palu MutiaraAirport will have an impact on the performance of the existing road network around its.Movement of traffic from Mutiara airport or to Mutiara airport, will also be a tendancy toincrease, and can overload the road network around the airport. This study aims to determine the network performance of major roads around the Mutiara airportdue to the operation of the airport, especially at peak hours. Research analysis was conductedusing Indosesian Highway Capasity Manual (IHCM-1997).The results of this study indicated that the performance segment of the main roads aroundMutiara airport is still in stable flow conditions and not under conditions of traffic jams. Degree ofSaturation (DS) on each road segment Abdul Rahman Saleh, Dewi Sartika, Basuki Rahmat andMuh.Yamin respectively was 0.14: 0.46: 0.37 and 0.63, with the highest level of service road AbdulRahman Saleh is the way to the level of service A.
