Abstract

This study aims to describe and show the configuration of the integration between the steering system on both front wheel drive system and the controller at the rear wheels on the vehicle type agricultural tractors. The system comprises four tractor steering wheel. Model analysis of the movement of the system displayed good mathematical equation model moves toward forward, rewind and play with various configurations. Further analysis was performed in Mathlab program that makes it easy to see variations of the steering angle, wheel speed drive and motion of different models using the specific parameters that correspond to the size of one type of agricultural tractors. The ability to move the steering wheel in different directions and the steering wheel angle greatly affect the ability of the tractor to resist external forces that occur when the through road, especially elevation and slippery. This analytical model can be developed for other types of agricultural vehicles, such as lawn mowers and off-road vehicles.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out of thermal characteristics of husk briquette with glue materials that is made of tapioca powder with content variations; 7%, 10% and 15%.This research used experiment method to find out of thermal characteristic consists of: High Heating Value HHV, Moisture content M, Ash content A, Volatile Matters content VM, Fixed Carbon Content FC and combustions efficiency. The result of investigations are; HHV = 2789 cal/g, M = 2.67%, A = 39.06 %, VM = 42.92%, FC= 15.53% and combustions efficiency 59.07%. All of them are find out from 7% of glue content materials.

Abstract

Programmable Logic Control is a automatic control device which has memory for storing input program to control devices or processes by using input module and outpu in digital or analogue. This research conduct using of PLC to control temperature in prototype room, by using Zelio logic  smart relay, and module sensor LM35. Prototype room is made from glass, with dimension 60mm x 20mm x 20mm and has roof like a house, and 4 fans are put on the long side of the room. From this experiment, based on temperature which set on FBD program, room temparature can be controlled in 320C succesfully.

Abstract

The use of heavy equipment to help physical work is very much in use today, One of them is the Excavator. CAT 320 Excavator jeis has many advantages in using, is evident from the construction equipment, design and engineering technology used. In the design of the machine is certainly not independent of the condition of fuel-efficient, compact and easy operation in sistym.Excavato CAT 320 is equipped to do the job of supporting the boom, stick and bucket. Stick used in the job can be changed according to the type of work to be done. Type of stick used is the type R B 1.9, R 2.5 B, R B 2.9, R 3.9 B, M 1, 9 C, M2.4 C, and M 2.9 B and is tailored to the lift cylinder to be used. The length of each stick is 1900 mm, 2400 mm, 250 mm, 2920 mm, 3860 mm. While the bucket capacity (0.7 to 1.2) m3. With the use of the stick and bucket will be analyzed style stick and bucket cylinder and the diameter of the stick and bucket.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the crank shaft mechanism theoretically with trigonometry and complex number methods. Equation of velocity and acceleration of these methods are taken the same and the difference of influnced variables. The same variables are angle position, angle velocity, and beam length 2 and linking beam length 3. The differences is for complex number analysis influenced by angle position, angle velocity and beam angle acceleration 3. Based on used variable for these methods, trigonometry analysis can be applied if crank shaft angle velocity is a constant. Calculation of velocity and acceleration are based on  beam angle 2 change  from 0o - 360o with angle range 15o counter clock watch (CCW), crank angle velocity 188.4 rad/s, length of beam 2 (0.05 m, 0.075 m. 0.10 m) and length of beam 3 (0.3 m). The result of trigonometry and complex number calculation for variation of  beam lenght 2 is taken the difference of velocity and acceleration on piston. The difference percentages of velocity are 8.25%, 12.76%, and 17.78 % respectively and of acceleration are 0.50%, 2.34%, and 19.91 % respectively.

Abstract

Research on the effect of temperature and silicon content cast on the value of Al-Si alloy violence done by re-casting of the alloy Al-0.24% Si. The temperature variation with temperature castings made ​​71, 760 and 810oC. The addition of silicon content is done by adding alloys Al-0.24% Si alloy ADC 12. From the results of the study concluded that the temperature did not cast a significant influence on increasing the value of violence. Effect of the addition of silicon content increases the value of the product of violence cast Al-0, 24Si at 33.67 to 56.06 BHN on silicon content of 2.66% for a temperature of 710oC cast. Hardness value at a temperature of 760OC castings for silicon content of 0.24% by 34.59 BHN also experienced an increase in the silicon content of 2.66% to 50.81 BHN hardness value. BHN hardness value of 36.55 at a temperature of 810 OC cast for the silicon content of 0.24% increased to 54.24 BHN on silicon content of 2.66%.

Abstract

Fuel Oil Heater in Steam Power Plant (PLTU) at Tello Makassar, a heat exchanger type of heater that serves to heat the oil residue by using steam heat generated in the boiler. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of water vapor to reduce the viscosity of oil residue that can be used as fuel by using fuel oil heater. Measurements were performed immediately when the temperature and pressure of water vapor and residual oil at the input and output unchanged (constant) for 1 hour. The results showed that the effectiveness is influenced by the amount of heat absorbed by the residual oil by 1726.083 W and the amount of heat released by the steam that is 1764.988 W with a value of 68.7% effectiveness.
