Abstract

This article seeks to identify the barriers to employment, as well as the opportunities and rights fulfilment for those with physical impairments in the City of Bandung during the Covid-19 period. It's intriguing to talk about the chances and difficulties people have; they worry about obtaining work in the Covid-19 era. The descriptive qualitative approach of data analysis employed in this study refers to the events that occurred and data collection methods using interviews, observations, and documentation. By interviewing 22 people with physical disabilities in the city of Bandung. The results of the article show that labor absorption and policies to fulfil the right to work for people with physical disabilities in Bandung City have not been optimal, with six challenges faced, including limited information related to employment and training, low self-confidence, negative stigma, educational background, job opportunities and skills. On the other hand, there are four opportunities for people with physical disabilities in the city of Bandung to find work, including the government monitoring the absorption of workers with disabilities, the availability of job seekers applications, the ability to work for people with physical disabilities and the implementation of training programs.

Abstract

Agriculture and climate change have a complex causal relationship. The agricultural sector produces large amounts of Green House Gases (GHG) such as CH4, CO2, and N2O which affect the climate. One of the consequences of climate change is an increase in rainfall. This has caused 2,971.51 ha of submerged and damaged rice fields in the Tabalong District. This study aims to determine the climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies of the agricultural sector in the Tabalong District. Emission measurements and mapping of the distribution of GHG emissions are shown to support strategy determination. The GHG inventory is calculated using the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry method, mapping the distribution of emissions using the geographic information system method, and determining the best adaptation and mitigation strategies using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Expert Choice Software. The results showed that GHG emissions from the agricultural sector of the Tabalong District until 2030 amounted to 191,384 tCO2e / year.  There are five Sub-districts identified as the largest GHG-producing districts from the mapping of the distribution of GHG. The results of the AHP synthesis show that there are three strategies for climate change adaptation and four strategies for climate change mitigation

Abstract

Earned Value Management (EVM) is a method used to monitor and to predict project completion time. This method uses a linear approach in predicting project time completion. Unfortunately, most of the projects run in dynamic environments with complex characteristics, causing project progress to require a non-linear approach. That is why the use of EVM in monitoring and predicting non-linear project completion time is less effective. This study proposes a more realistic alternative approach using non-Linear EVM based on the Support Vector Regression (SVR) - Growth Model. The SVR-growth model is used to accommodate the non-linear progress of the project, while the EVM is used to represent the predicted results of the project completion time. For model validation, 5 data on oil and gas field development construction projects in Jawa, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Regions were used as case studies. The results of this study indicate that the results of project completion time prediction using the SVR-Growth Model provide high accuracy and precision compared to the traditional EVM method

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the performance of service quality by using students' perceptions of service quality performance at the Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Vocational Studies ITS Surabaya Indonesia through the Higher Education Performance (HEdPerf) measurement scale using six structural dimensions consisting of Non-Academic Aspects, Academic Aspects, Reputation, Access, Program Issues, and Understanding. Quantitative descriptive method, questionnaire survey with Probability Sampling technique, and Proportioned Stratified Random Sampling collecti0n technique were used as methods in this study. The results of the analysis using Importance-Performance Analysis show the similarity of the measurement results between each service item measurement and the measurement of the factor/dimensional structure instrument. The reputation factor is a top priority for improving service quality. Academic and Access factors have service quality that must be maintained. Understanding Program Factors and Problems is the second priority for improving service quality. Then non-academic factors indicate that the quality of service exceeds student expectations

Abstract

Development is a social process that aims to enhance the environment and the quality of communal life. Sustainability happens as a result of the environment serving as a living space and a source of additional value. The following environmental factors must be integrated into a development plan: biogeophysics, social, economic, cultural, and public health. PT PERTAMINA (Corporate Company) in collaboration with Rosneft Oil Company will build and operate a new oil and petrochemical integrated refinery and its supporting facilities. About 27,000 people were hired for the building phase, and about 3,000 for the operation phase. This study aims to lessen the detrimental effects of development plans on public health. This qualitative study is a cross-sectional descriptive investigation of the area surrounding the proposed refinery in East Java Province, Indonesia's Jenu District and Tuban Regency. The study's findings were determined through firsthand observation and a poll of 100 residents who would be impacted by the development plan. The findings show that, in order to prevent environmental disputes, environmental management and monitoring must be carried out.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture stepped up the connect-and-match effort by creating a teaching factory to combine vocational education with the industrial world. The program's goal is to increase the number of graduates from vocational schools who are employed as trained and qualified human resources (HR) to meet the demands of the sector. The suitability and relevance of the material to local needs, especially in the world of tourism in Banyuwangi should be included in the learning materials. In order to establish a link and match, it is required to conduct a thorough examination of the development of learning instruments. The purpose of this study is to develop English for Tourism and Hospitality teaching materials in accordance with the local needs of the tourism industry in Banyuwangi. This research was an R & D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model. The results showed that the English for Tourism and Hospitality materials that would be applied to the Tourism Business Management Study Program, Banyuwangi State Polytechnic were relatively varied and diverse which was divided into two parts, namely materials that reflect the Banyuwangi local culture such as Gedhogan, Kemiren, Gandrung Sewu, Barong Kemiren, Seblang Dance, Ngopi Sepuluh Ewu, Ijen Blue Fire, Tumpeng Sewu Festival, Red Island, as well as additional materials related to hospitality such as Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Agent.
