Abstract

Discussing the urgency and relevance of civic education and religious character education from an early age has several challenges as well as opportunities. The research in this paper is qualitative with an analytical descriptive approach using documentation methods. The general objective of this study is to understand not only the urgency but also the relevance of citizenship education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia? What are the challenges and opportunities for implementing civic education and religious character education for an early age in Indonesia? In general, strengthening civic education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia is still important because this is part of a process that has never been completed. This is relevant to the spirit of change and sustainability from era to era. In this case, the challenges can be said to be not small. More than that, the opportunity may also be greater to be optimized for the realization of unity in diversity and the progress of the nation.

Abstract

Pelatihan social entrepeneurship merupakan salah satu cara untuk menjawab masalah social ekonomi masyarakat pinggiran di kota. Sasaran utama dari kegiatan ini adalah para pemuda dari karangtaruna di daerah Tandes, Surabaya Barat. Strategi dan metode yang dipraktikkan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pemberian materi dengan ceramah, diskusi dan melihat video inspirasi dari Youtube. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan ketrampilan berpikir para pemuda agar lebih berdaya secara sosial. Lebih dari itu, harapannya dengan memberikan wawasan mengenai social entrepeneurship dapat menjadi modal awal untuk menjadi mewujudkan kemandirian dari masyarakat khususnya di daerah pinggiran kota melalui usaha melakukan perubahan berbasis social ekonomi.

Abstract

Proses pelaksanaan pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan yang tertuang dalam Perpres No.59 tahun 2017 merupakan komitmen pemerintah RI sebagai anggota PBB untuk ikut serta mewujudkan Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs 2017) yang tertuang dalam Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Salah satu tujuan SDGs yang dituangkan dalam Lampiran Perpres No.59 tahun 2017 sebagai tujuan global dan diselaraskan dengan pembangunan nasional Indonesia, adalah jaminan kesetaraan gender dan pemberdayaan perempuan.Kesetaraan gender merupakan hak asasi yang fundamental yang akan mencegah terjadinya perlakuan yang diskriminatif.Kesetaraan gender juga dapat menjadi salah satu cara mencapai pertumbuhan ekonomi, memerangi kelaparan, kemiskinan, pencegahan HIV/AIDS,yang  akan diwujudkan dalam agenda pembangunan nasional yang berkelanjutan.Perwujudan kesetaraan gender dan pemberdayaan merupakan wujud komitmen pemerintah bersama negara negara anggota PBB untuk mencapai SDGs yang dimulai tahun 2017.

Abstract

The aims of Development for the welfare of the community, but often this development affects changes in environmental arrangements around the area which are outside the development goals. Environmental changes due to unplanned human activities have a negative impact on other social groups. Environmental impacts have the meaning of changes that can be natural or unnatural. This article aims to describe the impact of the construction of the Gunawangsa apartment, which is located around the Asemrowo River, Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The informants in this study are people who live in the Asemrowo strenkali which is directly adjacent to the Gunawangsa Apartment Building, abaout 22 families. The results of the study found that the Gunawangsa apartment building which has been going on for 3 years has not felt the impact of significant changes in improving the family economy. The community still feels that socio-economic life is not much different from before development. The results of the research also found that the very high position of the building had hindered the catch of the television signal so that people had difficulty accessing the signal and could not comfortably enjoy television programs that were previously enjoyed well

Abstract

The closing of Doli prostitution in 2014 has been causing significant consequences for Doli community. They can no longer rely their life on economic raised from prostitution-supporting jobs. They must adapt to social and economic changes and transform themselves. In this changing process, Doli community should learn and develop some new skills to run their own home industries or develop UKMs together. Today, Doli community develops their UKMs’, changing its’ prostitution face into community with many small-scale home industries and gradually leaving their prostitution image. However, during this process, there are several issues and challenges emerge and threaten their development sustainability. Thus, this paper aims to explore several issues and challenges of Doli empowerment which may impact on their process to be self-sustained community. The study adopts qualitative research methodology. The data are collected through direct observation, focus group discussion and communication with local people. The study indicates that there are two types of alarming issues and challenges potentially obstructing Doli sustainability. The first is the UKM’s production-related issue, in which local people difficulties in managing their product, including marketing, processing, financing, staffing and distributing. The second issue is relating to social character, including competition, resistance to change. The study recommends several community educations for Doli’s UKMs: basic grounding education, practical and entrepreneurial and community character education.

Abstract

Recently, Pancasila has again become a trending topic in the national issue in Indonesia. Studies on the relationship between civic education, Pancasila, and religious character are still rarely carried out. However, it is realized that it is essential to support an intelligent society's realization and love harmony and peace for the nation's progress. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive-analytical approach using a literature-based documentary method. This research's general objective is to understand the relationship between civic education, Pancasila, and religious character. This study's findings are that the relationship between Pancasila, civic education, and religious character is very close and needs to be kept in mind. Many people still agree that Pancasila does not need changes, amendments, and the like. More than that, Pancasila's practice in the world of education and the nation's life, religion, and state.

Abstract

Digitalization is a keyword in the current era of the industrial revolution. In the future, there will likely continue to be a need for the Indonesian generation to obtain various information about the values of a religious character, Pancasila, and education in facing the challenges of the digital era. Therefore, this study focuses more on what and how digitalization efforts spread religious values, Pancasila, and education through YouTube social media carried out by anyone, both the government and the community. This research is based on data and documents with a qualitative descriptive method. The study results show many socialization and information efforts through YouTube that lecturers, teachers, and various parties carry out. The effect can be seen from the response and enthusiasm of the community. Also, to understand the message of the video on YouTube.

Abstract

Development is a social process that aims to enhance the environment and the quality of communal life. Sustainability happens as a result of the environment serving as a living space and a source of additional value. The following environmental factors must be integrated into a development plan: biogeophysics, social, economic, cultural, and public health. PT PERTAMINA (Corporate Company) in collaboration with Rosneft Oil Company will build and operate a new oil and petrochemical integrated refinery and its supporting facilities. About 27,000 people were hired for the building phase, and about 3,000 for the operation phase. This study aims to lessen the detrimental effects of development plans on public health. This qualitative study is a cross-sectional descriptive investigation of the area surrounding the proposed refinery in East Java Province, Indonesia's Jenu District and Tuban Regency. The study's findings were determined through firsthand observation and a poll of 100 residents who would be impacted by the development plan. The findings show that, in order to prevent environmental disputes, environmental management and monitoring must be carried out.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The village community needs the development of alternative designs that are suitable for the Herbal Education area in Batu City for the progress of Indonesia. The activities' strategy is planning an alternative design concept for the Batu City Herbal Education Area. This community service has theoretical benefits that add insight and knowledge about determining educational tours' location with various approaches. In practical terms, several added values are useful for providing input to officials and policymakers for Batu City tourism development, specifically in developing tourism with the concept of education through city image theory. This activity's impact is a good effect of these activities, especially landmarks that function optimally in building the area's image for visitors/observers in the development of the herbal education area of Batu City. More than that, it can also provide an impression/experience to visitors/observers regarding the state of the Batu City herbal education area. Also, to support in comparing the herbal education area of Batu city.

Abstract

Indonesia is facing the digitalization era. It is making it possible to see opportunities for digitalization trends in the social, religious, and humanities. Not many are aware of this aspect which also influences the development and changes that occur in social, religious, and national life. From year to year, aspects of technology and humanities social interactions have increasingly important influences. This research is based on data, qualitative research approaches, and methods supported by digital or internet documentation sources. The essence of this research discussion is about how the social digitization trend of religion and humanities, especially in the discourse of religious moderation, Pancasila, and civic education. What is the impact of digitalization on the behavior of the community (netizens) in supporting the creation of good life order? Found several facts that cannot underestimate digital trends in the social humanities field. His contribution is extraordinary in influencing the behavior and knowledge of the people in Indonesia. Its impact is also felt in social innovation, humanities, and civic education today and in the future.
