Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 56th out of 65 participating countries in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) based on data 2015. According to PISA results, the average science score of Indonesian students is 403, where this number is categorized as low. This is because students are still in the process of understanding and have not yet fully recognized the location of their mistakes. Students can diagnose the location of their mistakes through self-diagnosis activities. Self-diagnosis activities require the active role of students during the learning process. One approach that can increase the active role of students is STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). However, research at this time is still rarely found self-diagnosis activities that are applied to the STEM approach. Therefore, this research has the aim to find out the increase in mastery of physical concepts and self-diagnosis of students on the STEM learning approach to the theory of poscal law class XI High School. This study uses a One-Group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 30 ini 11th grade highschool from one schools in Bandung. . Based on the findings, there is an increase in mastery of concepts [<g> = 0.51] from pre-test to post-test. In self-diagnosis activities identified that there are differences in scores [z = 1.75; p = 0.9599] student assessment results of researchers and self-scoring results. Deeper self-diagnosis triggers a series of implicit steps that encourage them to rearrange their cognition by correcting the mistakes they make when solving problems. So that learning activities using the STEM approach that involves self-diagnosis activities can improve students' mastery of concepts.

Teachers perceptions of scientific literacy aspects are low, but teachers have tried to apply them in learning. Furthermore, teachers perceptions of students self efficacy in category “medium”. Students' perceptions for aspects of learning using Multimedia interactive (MMI) and scientific literacy were still low, but on aspect of students self efficacy in the “high” category. Then, the percentage of students requirements of using MMI in learning in “high” category. It can be concluded that using MMI to improve students sains literacy and students self efficacy.

Abstract

This article seeks to examine the efforts of sufi education and their relation to the field of psychology, especially from a positive developmental perspective. This is because modern psychology tends to study human development, which is negative, while the scope of research in positive human development is worth paying attention to. Although modern psychology recognizes humanity as the central center of life, the fact is that the field is more focused on mental symptoms, rather than exploring the inner potential of humanity. In this regard, Sufis education can serve as an alternative ground, which can be used in modern psychology. This is because Sufis education in the context of psychology has methods that can expand the inner potential of man.

Abstract

The sustainability of this research from Biermann has a focus on collaborating on the earth system governance network based on five research challenges namely architecture, agency, adaptability, allocation, and accountability. Research in order to link the relationship of social science with the earth's governance system. It turns out that the social system is very influential in the earth's governance system, so the need to instill the value of the value of love of nature since elementary education so that the impact of the social system on the earth's governance system in the future can be minimized. The results of this study indicate that social systems consisting of people, governments, and non-government actors must work together to deal with the impact of a dynamic earth governance system. For this reason, elementary education is needed to reduce the negative impact of changes in the earth's governance system through the cultivation of character education that loves the environment while having a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

Indonesia ranks 6th from the bottom based on four annual studies Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) in 2015. Based on the results of the TIMSS and PISA, it was said that Indonesian students only mastered low-level questions and lacked high-level questions (HOTS) which included requiring students to think analytically, creatively and critically. Therefore, this study aims to improve students critical thinking skills with the Problem Based Learning model using the education of sustainable development (ESD) context on the heat theory. This study used a one group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 31 students from one of junior high schools in Bandung city. The instrument used was a critical thinking ability test and sustainability awareness profile questionnaire. The acquisition of <g> shows the ability to think critically: Provide a basic explanation of 0.72; build basic skills 0.69; concluded 0.69; make further explanation 0.47; and set the strategy and tactics 0.38. Obtaining sustainability awareness questionnaire 63.33% with the category “practice that are done” based on this, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model using ESD context can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The development of various greetings before and after learning is made to provide additional references and treatment from teachers to students in interesting learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the development of a variety of greetings before and after learning in Public Alementary Cchool 5 Mendo Barat. The research method used is the Research and Development method with the Thiagarajan Four-D development model which consists of four stages of research, namely (1) defining, including initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of learning objectives; (2) planning (design) media selection, format selection, and preparation of various greeting media before and after learning; (3) development, including expert validation and testing; and (4) disseminate, including reproduction, socialization, and reflection. The results of this research. The definition stage 1) there is no media variation of greetings before and after learning; 2) lack of student moral character, and 3) teachers do not have information or references related to variations in greetings before and after learning. Researchers began to design a variety of greeting media with preface, table of contents, contents, author's biography, and back cover, on A4 paper size and 12 pt Garamond font. The variety of media greetings before and after learning resulted from the teacher's response to 93.33% of the process. It can be seen from the greeting activities before and after learning the moral character of students. The moral character is not indifferent when invited to discuss, resulting in 60% of the 20 students, the character of piety including a sense of responsibility and good cooperation of the students as much as 60%, the character of polite and respectful with students greeting by shaking hands every time they go to school, speaking politely 70% of teachers and friends, the character of manners in the form of like to help friends if asked for help as much as 70%.
