Abstract

In this research, the writer concluding the result of what he found from of the movie. Begins from the conflict that happened between Chinnese Ethnic and indirinous people, the creator want to present in this movie and also want to show the problems between Islam and Christian. The creator want to make a thought that among religions should be toulerant and live peacefully just like what in film.But there is the scene that research the meaning of tolerance it self. The scene where Surya (Agus Kuncoro) who chosen asa Jesus. According to researcher, the creator of this movie want to show the tolerance among religions, but actually it seems like decreasing of the meaning of tolerance it self. In this case, mixture religions shouldn’t be happened, because the tolerance among religions prevealing in public life not religions ritualials like that.In thus case, the movie creator want to make a thought to the people about public live among religions and intracultural. Baut the researcher saw his case contrary to myth that precealing about how sensitive when we talk about religion to different relilious faith. The researcher assumed this as dimytologies, because not suitable with the myth that developed in public.

Abstract

Interfaith marriage is a form of marriage is performed by a pair of men and women who have different religious beliefs. Currently interfaith marriage is already banned by the government and the logic, in the se-religious marriages can be conflict and does not guarantee a successful marriage, let alone a different religion. Although conflict in marriage is not only caused by differences in belief, but it is very influential for the survival of marriage as the basis of different faiths will make all the difference. Although it is not easy to maintain interfaith marriage, but not a few marriages that last a long time despite the different religions. Effective communication will minimize the occurrence of conflict, so the marriage will last a long time. This study seeks to examine more deeply the Self Disclosure (Self Disclosure) In Johari Window Theory, Theory of Dialectical relations (Relational Dialectics), and symbolic interactionism (symbolic Interactionism). Further in-depth interviews with select speakers who have certain criteria as research subjects, by using descriptive qualitative research methods. Presentation of data is done as it is delivered in accordance informants as research subjects without manipulation. Then, the researchers interpret the data to describe the phenomenon that occurs in study subjects.

Abstract

Lucky Setiawan, G.331.09.0034. Understanding the Communication Process of Rooster Fighting Lover Group in Area Manyaran. Thesis: Study Program S-1 Communication Study University of Semarang. This study aims to determine the communication process conducted in a group of Rooster Fighting Lover in western region of Semarang. In addition, it also learns the group communication process with people outside of this community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method by describing the characteristics of the individual and the situation of a certain group. This study is simple that does not require a complicated theoretical basis or filing certain hypotheses. It is used the technique of collecting data through interviews and observations. It is concluded that in the process of communication that exist within this group, all members adhere only to a person who is considered as a senior. In addition the communication process of the group in responding protests outside is considered extreme. The group will not pay attention to the people comments.

Abstract

Dramaturgy is the work of Erving Goffman. He wrote "Presentation of Self in Everyday Life" in '1959. Following the theatrical analogy, Goffman spoke of a front stage and back stage. The front stage is that part of the performance that generally functions in rather fixed and general ways to define the situation for those who observed the performance. The back stage is situation where facts suppressed in the front or various kinds of informal actions may appear. A back stage is usually adjacent to the front stage, but it also cut off from it. Everyone in this world have to run his role in their everyday life. It also a radio announcer. As an actor, they have to be a nice and friendy person when they perform to make air personality, that is  a good  impression, from their audience. But before their perform in the front stage, there so much to do to prepare in the backstage. The front and back stage is radio announcer dramaturgy.

Ferdinand de Saussure is widely known as one of the prominent contributor to the theories of sign and language in semiotic. His theory in semiotic create a mark in the history of semiology. His semiotic was also known as one of the foundation of structuralism that growth in France. Structuralism, later become a movement that widespread not only in the field of linguistic but to the field of humanities and social sciences in general. How his semiotic works and how his view on structuralism applied in world of sign and language are interesting object. This writing try to overview all this in a simple and understandable way

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors of the main attraction foreign citizen to knows the sprinkling holy water on ganesha statue tradition at Sahasra Adhi Pura , Sonosewu , Sukoharjo .The theory used in this research adopted from Littlejohn ( 2009) , external stimuli generate an internal meanings that will generate a response to the outside. Signification itself internally divided into two parts: the internal response and internal stimuli. The question in this research is the dominant factor affecting an individual's interest to get to know other cultures. The question in this research what factor has dominant affecting  individual 's interest to know other cultures .The method used is non - participatory observation and in-depth interviews using qualitative descriptive analysis . This research was conducted in Sukoharjo . With interviews by a competent speaker is a professor of philosophy and culture of Java , while sampling using purposive sampling technique .It was concluded that the dominant factors affecting the interests of foreign citizen which are  condition of community attitudes towards immigrants openness and acceptance of differences, also the effectiveness of  word of mouth .

Abstract

This research was made to gain the information how the gate keeping process in Idola Radio works in public journalism responds that give informations by telephone or sms to Idola Radio.This research base on the theory how the gate keeping process decides if the information proper or not to deliver into news and also the basic concept of citizen journalism that carry out by the people themselve who will give the information such as a reporter.The methods that use in this research are qualitative description and perspective interactive. This research was made in FM Idola Radio Semarang and the resource was the staff who may concern.From this research  can be take a conclusion than the gatekeeper  take  a role to classify the information from public who act by the Program Manager, news supervisor and reporters. The Gatekeeper is the main point in every broadcast. It has a big role to select every news or informations before they put on the broadcast room to be on air.

Abstract

Class teaching and learning process has shortcomings, namely limited Class schedule. If the teacher is not in place, the course can not be done. Submission of materials consequently delayed. Utilization of the web as a tool in the lecture can resolve the issue. When the teacher was not there, the lecture could still walk, student attendance can be monitored, the discussion can be done and the task can check on line. Based on these problems will be developed interactive learning web-based application that can be a means of lectures. Model development system used in use is the System Product Development Life Cycle.

Abstract

Corporate social responsibility has become a global issue in the community and the company. CSR programs implemented by PT Pertamina (Persero) Region IV Regional Central Java and Yogyakarta in the areas of Education, Health, Environmental Conservation, Community Empowerment has been right on target. Corporate Social Responsibility program targeted, among others, so that more people know and use products - products Pertamina, as well as for good imaging Pertamina eyes of society. The communication strategy to the public (external strategies) used in the dissemination using print media such as newspapers and magazines nationally and locally. Electronic media using television and radio in Central Java and Yogyakarta as well as nationally. Communication strategies used in the dissemination to all employees of Pertamina, the media used in the form of intranet Pertamina, Energia magazine and TV Display. Theoretical basis used in this study is adopted from (Kottler, 2005) which states social initiatives of companies that can be taken for the implementation of CSR there are six forms of Cause Promotion, Cause Related Marketing, Corporate Social Marketing, Corporate Philanthropy, Community Volunteering and Socially Responsible Business Practices. The question in this research is how the Communication Strategy Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to PT Pertamina (Persero) Region IV Regional Central Java and Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Internet growing so rapidly. Information become cheap and free. Internet is now widely used a number of institutions to publicize the various activities. This step is also done by the University of Semarang (www.usm.ac.id). This website which is expected to be a center of information that can be accessed by students and public. The hypothesis of this study was: “There is a relationship between the use of USM website (www.usm.ac.id) with information needs of Faculty of Information Technology and Communications USM student.” This type of research is explanatory research. The result, that there is a relationship between the use of the USM website with information of FTIK USM student needs. This research also answers that there is a relationship between the use of the website with information on FTIK USM student needs.
