Abstract

Mahasiswa yang sekarang duduk di bangku Universitasseharusnya sudah mahir berbahasa Inggris. Namun kenyataanyang terjadi di lapangan, sebagian besar mereka tidak bisaberkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris tersebut. Padahal sejakTaman Kanak-Kanak sampai mereka di perguruan tinggimereka terus mempelajarinya, tetapi mereka tetap saja tidakbisa berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris. Untuk mengatasinyapeneliti mencoba teknik belajar Kepala Bernomor untukmeningkatkan ketrampilan berbicara mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kosakata merupakan komponen terpenting dalam menunjang keahlian berbahasa. Namun, Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa siswa/siswi kelas VI SDN. 45 Bungo Pasang Padang kurang menguasai kosakata. Hasil yang didapatkan dari nilai awal siswa/siswi kosakata mereka masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan dua faktor yaitu kurang motivasi dan teknik yang diajarkan guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengambarkan dan menjelaskan apakah dengan nyanyian (songs) dalam pengusaan kosakata siswa/siswikelas VI SDN.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the students’motivation and speaking skill through negotiated materials.Negotiated materials means that materiasl come from discussion by teacher and students and these negotiated materials which is based on their students’ study program (Accounting). Motivation means thosestudents’ effort plus desire in speaking activity or in other wordsstudents’ motivation in speaking. While speaking skill means that the capacity of the students to present their materials in front of the class.The participants of this research were the eleventh grade students of Accounting at SMKN 1 PasirPengaraianRokanHulu Riau. This class consisted of 38 students. One of the English teachers took part in this research as collaborator to assist the implementation of Negotiated Materials, particularly in observing the students’ activities in the teaching and learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan terhadap mahasiswa semester dua program studi agrobisnis Universitas Pasir, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana dampak positif penggunaan gambar dalam memperbaikikemampuan mahasiswa dalam kosakata Bahasa Inggris.Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan melalui satu siklus penelitian dengan menggunakan gambar dalam mengajar mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Based of afield observation, it indicated that the workmotivation teachers of the senior high school in sub districtRambah and Rambah Hilir Rokan Hulu Regency Riau Provinceis not optimal. Researcher suspected the interpersonalcommunication and work climate affects teachers workmotivation Senior High Schools in sub district Rambah andRambah Hilir Rokan Hulu Regency Riau Province, thereforeresearch must be done to test its truth.This research aimed to reveal the contribution ofinterpersonal communication and work climate toward teacherswork motivation senior high schools in sub District Rambahand Rambah Hilir Rokan Hulu Regency Riau Province. Thehypothesis tested in this study were: 1) interpersonalcommunication to contribute to teachers work motivation, 2)work climate to contribute to teachers work motivation, 3)interpersonal communication and work climate jointlycontribute to teachers work motivation.Research population were all teachers of senior highschools at Sub District Rambah and Rambah Hilir Rokan HuluRegency Riau Province totaling 124 teachers from whom 59teachers were selected as research sample by using stratifiedproportional random sampling technique.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa yang cukup sulit bagi para siswa. Mereka kurang tertarik dan menganggap Bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa asing dan membosankan. Mereka tidak mau mempraktekkan dalam kelas. Salah satu penyebab adalahkurangnya penguasaan kosa kata. Untuk itu dicoba suatu teknik pembelajaran dengan menerapkan cara bermain domino sambilbelajar untuk menghapal kosa kata.
