Abstract

This paper focuses its discussion on the issue of discourse in the perspective of Norman Fairclough. There are two major paradigms that underlie various perspectives in the study of discourse analysis, namely the formalist paradigm and the functional paradigm. The first view discourse is better understood and positioned as the largest unit of the linguistic unit, and separate from its social context. The second view discourse as specific focuses related to the function or use of language and become an integral part of its social context. Norman Fairclough built a middle ground and formulated a form of discourse analysis that referred to the critical paradigm. In a discourse production, it is always followed gradually by the production of identity, class production, ideological production, and power production. Discourse for Fairclough is an important form of social practice that reproduces and changes knowledge, identity, and social relations which include power relations, and at the same time formed by other social structures and practices.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Love Bell Movie Series on ANTV on the mindset of teenage girls in Songing Village, South Sinjai District. This research uses a quantitative approach with primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis to determine whether there is influence between two variables, namely the dependent and independent variables. The results showed that the Love Bells Film was obtained by a table with a significance level of 5%, obtained a value of 1,997 and tcount had a value of 3,578 so tcount > ttable. So Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Meanwhile based on R square from the previous calculation results is 0.167 which is at the value of 0.00-0.199. This proves that the influence of the Love Bell Film is still very low. This study only obtained 16.8% of the influence of the Love Bell Film on the mindset of adolescent girls, the remaining 83.3% was influenced by other factors not summarized in this analysis. The implication in this research is that the film production party can provide a decent show for the audience and parents so that it can control and supervise the activities of their children who are still in the period of searching for identity.

Abstract

The meaning and understanding of Hijrah is still a human problem in today's era, many who support hijrah are struggles and battles in the way of Allah by taking up arms, but on the other hand there are also those who improve hijrah is a place to move from place to place and there is also another meaning often pronounced is hijrah is an action to go away. On the other hand, the meaning of emigration is often equated with jihad in the sense of taking up arms to preach or spread the religion of Islam, the compilation of preaching objectives is not appropriate by trying and teaching. Islamic animated film "Hijrah Nisa" comes with a new discourse that tries to be implanted about the meaning of a hijrah. Then for the formulation of the problem in this study is what is the position of the subject and object taken in this film? It is certain to answer from the formulation of this problem, namely by using Sara Mills' discourse analysis. Based on the analysis of the data presented by the youtube CISFrom UIN Sunan Kalijaga media, it shows that this media supports to build and embed the meaning of hijrah by using terms and examples that are easily debated by viewers, using migration from negative gadget and internet addiction that is used by comments from each other Blaming, blaspheming people on SOSMED and debating coaches with unknown people, switching to reducing the activities of holding gadgets and doing I'tikaf in mosques. This of course can lead the conversation to mean that hijrah does not have to be carried out in a radical way and does an attack, taking up arms like understanding what has been done a lot on the mindset of the audience. Although this subtitle film does not at all present a Nisa party to be a subject (storyteller), but the plot and journey regarding Nisa's migration is represented by another subject (Pak 'Ust) as the storyteller.

Abstract

Communication science is a social science that reveals social reality (communication phenomena) with various perspectives. Historical studies are referred to as humanioran scientific scholars. The science of communication and history are both trying to express the meanings stored in the signs used by humans to interact. History offers the main aspects of human life and is represented through communication symbols. Through these symbols, humans can recognize and understand the past, detect the present, and anticipate the future. These symbols are constructed by convention by historical actors as identities that talk about many things. Social-humanities sciences such as communication and historical studies can be jointly developed through adaptation of more open methodologies so that they can be mutually reinforcing, both scientifically and for practical purposes. To be more comprehensive and integrative, the social-humanities sciences are also always encouraged to use the perspective of the tradition of Islamic scientific discipline.

As a result, syncretism can not be avoided from the habits of the people of Kutulu, in connection with this religious leaders, villages, youth, need to do socialization related to this cultural belief that tends to be outside of Islamic religious rituals (polytheists or haram).

Abstract

Journalism ethics and standards comprise principles of ethics and of good practice as applicable to the specific challenges faced by journalists. This subset of media ethics is widely known to journalists as their professional "code of ethics" or the "canons of journalism".  How do journalists decide what news to write each day? How do they convey the science of a politicized issue like climate change? How do they decide when to print national secrets? The answers to all of these questions are informed by journalistic ethics, which guide reporters and editors to seek out the truth and act with integrity.Journalism ethics and standards comprise principles of ethics and of good practice as applicable to the specific challenges faced by journalists. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the communication patterns carried out by Ammatoa to the Kajang community, as well as to know the Kamase-masea value system in maintaining the Kajang cultural value. This study uses qualitative research with a symbolic interactional approach. The author uses a purposive sampling technique to obtain informants. Data used through in-depth interviews, literature study, observation and internet searching, with data analysis techniques using the Miles & Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Ammatoa communicates with the Kajang Dalam community face to face and without restrictions because in the area they are not permitted to use communication media, especially mass communication media. However, when Ammatoa wants to communicate with the Kajang Luar community, Ammatoa is assisted by customary stakeholders (Galla), meaning that communication takes place through intermediaries by word of mouth, in this case the communication pattern used by Ammatoa is to use circular communication patterns. While the communication process carried out by Ammatoa to the general public is to use direct communication, but usually through intermediaries for language translators for those who do not understand the Konjo language used by Ammatoa. The application of the kamase-masea value system in the Kajang culture can be seen from the simple lifestyle adopted by the Kajang Dalam community, such as not using sandals, and limiting the entry of modernization in the customary area. This can also be seen from residential areas, household appliances, and clothing used. Ammatoa and the community in the Kajang Customary Area are communities that limit the entry of all things that have the smell of technology so that the preservation of their customs is still maintained today. This can be an example for other communities so that they are also able to limit the entry of technology that can fade customs.
