Abstract

Success in the long jump is strongly influenced by the explosive power of the leg muscles. Increasing this explosive power will increase the distance long jump performance. In this study conducted with two types of training that is run on the track in the sand and obstacles run, each of which performed a total of five sets and four reps. Training is done in the field SMP-11 Denpasar for six weeks with a frequency of three times in a week. Samples were selected randomly as many as 20 people and the selected sample was divided into two groups, so that each group of 10 people. Group-1 are given run-jump training on the sand group-2 are given obstacles run training. Paired t test was used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between before and after training in each group and the unpaired t test used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between groups of training. Limit of significance used was 0.05. The mean distance long jump performance on the training run around in the sand before training was 3.86 ± 0.33 meters and after training was 4.38 ± 0.34 meter showed a statistically significant difference, p = 0.000 (p<0.05). The mean distance of achievement results before training on obstacles run training was 3.62 ± 0.37 meters and after training was 3.92 ± 0.37, also showed a significant difference p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Differences long jump distance before training outcomes between the two groups was not significant p = 0.190 (p>0.05), while after training between groups showed a significant difference p = 0.010 (p<0.05). Therefore run-jump training in the sand and obstacles run training can increase the distance of the long jump in student SMP-11 Denpasar, where run jump training in the sand beter than obstacles run training. So expect to teachers and sports trainers to implement the training long jump with run jump in sand five reps and four sets in training.

Abstract

The speed is one of the biomotoriccomponents which dominantin the run race100 meters. 100 meters run is part of athletics which has a short duration, highintensity and anaerobic systems develop. The purpose of this study was todetermine the increasing of 100 meter run speed, therefore this research is anexperimental study was conducted in SMK N Kakulukmesak Belu regency NTT,for 6 months from March - May 2014, with the frequency of exercise 3 times aweek. This study uses two types of training, and were divided into two treatmentgroups, ie group one is the training of interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandybeach 4 reps 3 sets andgroup twois the interval run 4 x 50 meter in the yard 4 reps3 sets, implemented in the afternoon at 15.30 to 17.00 pm in the yard of SMK NKakulukmesak and Atapupu Beach, Belu regency - NTT. Sample was 20 people, chosen simple randomly from a population of 53 people who meet therequirements of inclusion and exclusion. The number of samples for each group is10 people. The speed of 100 meter run was measured using stopwatch, while the100-meter dash speed data before and after training in both groups, were testedwith parametric statistical analysis. With a paired t-test of mean difference testsobtained the 100 meter dash speed after training on each group with p <0.05. Themean speed of 100 meters before training in the group one is 16.06 seconds and13.01 seconds after training. Means increased speed of 3:05 seconds, or at =19:02%. While the average running speed of 100 meters in group two beforetraining is 16.02 seconds and after training is 13.95 seconds, the increasing ofspeed is 12.91%. This shows that the average speed of 100 meters before and aftertraining on each group there is a significant difference, with value p<0.05. Thusthe training of group 1is interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandy beach and intervaltraining run 4 x 50 meters in the yard, after training is equal to increase the speedof the 100 meterin 10th grade student of SMK N Kakulukmesak. However, in theanalysis of data on the paired sample test, the speed training of group oneon thesandy beach is faster = 0.94 seconds than thetraining of group twoin the yard.

Abstract

Aerobic physical activity that is carried out by someone with the proper intensity will providehealth benefits. Intensity aerobic activity is recommended moderate intensity, based on thepulse. Traditional dance is one of the AF aerobic. However, no studies have investigated howthe pulse pattern dancer when this traditional dance and how much energy consumption ofthis traditional dance. This study will provide scientific evidence that supports the traditionaldance as one of the aerobic physical activity choices. The study involved eight studentsdaughters to dance three types of traditional Balinese dance are common, namely Tari SekarJagat (TSJ), Tari Cendrawasih (TCN) and Tari Panyembrahma (TPM). Pulse measurementis done by using Telemetry Garmin Forerunner 404 continuously until the end of the dance.Measurement of the amount of energy used during the dance is the online calculation of theworkload on the Garmin website. The results showed that all three types of dance meets thecriteria of mild intensity aerobic physical activity - being. Highest pulse work found in theTCN pulse reaches 78% of maximum, while the TSJ and TPM, respectively 65% and 62%.The third dance training zone and reach steady state for 6 to 8 minutes. Highest energyconsumption found in dance TCN by 40 Calories, and TSJ and TPM, respectively 27 and 21Calories. Thus the three traditional Balinese dance meets the criteria as a mild-intensityaerobic exercise - is that can provide health benefits for dancers.

Abstract

The swimmer in Indonesia is still very difficult to compete with world athletes who constantly surge achievement. One reason is the lack of understanding of proper recovery methods or effective in supporting achievement that is slow swimming active recovery method. This study aims to prove the differences of effectiveness of slow frontcrawl swimming recovery with a slow breaststroke swimming recovery to accelerate pulse rate recovery of male Bayusuta swimmer group in Denpasar. Experimental research was done with the method of randomized pre and post test control group design, conducted on February 2014. Samples were selected by simple random sampling . The two intervention groups with each group of 17 samples that randomized selected. The first group was given intervention as slow frontcrawl swimming and the second groups given intervention as slow breaststroke swimming after maximal exercise 50 meter sprint swimming . Pulse rate recovery was measured using Brouha method that is  pulse rate in the first minute until the fifth minute. Statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed a decrease in pulse rate in both groups from the first minute until the fifth minute showed a significant decrease (p < 0,05). Based on the Mann Whitney test pulse rate recovery in the first minute and the second showed no significant difference ( p > 0,05 ), while the third to fifth minute pulse recovery in both groups showed significant differences ( p < 0,05 ) . The decrease of pulse rate in both groups in the first minute until the fifth minute showed significant results ( p < 0,05 ). In conclusion is slow freestyle swimming recovery methods is more effective than  slow breaststroke swimming recovery method in accelerate swimmer pulse rate recovery. The results of this study are expected to increase the knowledge of coaches and swimmer to be able to do a proper recovery methods.

Abstract

VO2 max is very important in everyday life, so as to facilitate any physicalactivity, specially for athletes in order to achieve maximum performance. In aneffort to increase VO2 max training should be carried out regularly, measured andplanned. This study aims to determine the increase in VO2 max through circuittraining run and run continuously. The sample is taekwondoin son Manggarai-NTTwith an average age of 15 years. This study is an experimental study with the studydesign used was Randomized Pre and Post Test Group desigen. With a totalsample of 7 people in each group. Samples were randomly selected. Treatmentgroup 1 (KP1) given training run circuit 2 x 10 minute and Treatment Group 2(KP2) are given continuous training run 2 x 10 minute. Training carried out for 6weeks with a frequency of four times a week starting at 17:00 to 18:00 pm locatedat Frans Sales Lega Airport Manggarai-NTT. The analysis showed an increase inVO2 max was significantly (p <0.05) against both groups fled. In both groups thecircuit run by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooper an increase in VO2 max with p<0.05, as well as a continuous run either by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooperwith an increase in VO2 max value of p <0.05. The results of this analysis meansthat either the training or circuit training run run continuously to improve VO2max. Based on a comparison of test data by an independent test after training inboth groups either by Pulse Oxymeter and Norma Cooper in get p values > 0.05, orthere is no significant difference. Based on these results it can be concluded thatthe run circuit training and continuous training run together can increase VO2 maxand there was no significant difference. The results of this study are expected toincrease the knowledge of coaches, teachers and taekwondoin to perform trainingon a regular basis and are also expected to do similar research that examines VO2max with different training.
