Abstract

The low quality of education in Indonesia has something to do with the low quality of teacher. Meanwhile, facing the challenge of 4.0 era, teacher is supposed to prepare the student to have the competencies and master the information and technology. Thus, professional teacher is absolutely needed in order to increase the quality of education. To solve this problem, the government conduct the Teacher Professionalism Improvement Program (PPG). This study is aimed at investigating the pros and cons in applying the online PPG daljab for Female teachers in Aceh province. This study is conducted through the qualitative approach, interview, observation and documentation. The subjects of this study are consisting of four female teachers, three online facilitators. Whilst, the data analysis techniques were conducted through the Miles and Hubberman models. The result of this study shows that there are two supporting factors in the success of the implementation of online PPG for the female Acehnese teachers. First, the support is from the online group members and then the second is from the support from the family members in operating the Information and Technology (IT) related issues. Meanwhile, the cons factors are the disability of the teacher to operate the laptop, poor internet connection, lack of focuses due to the teaching tasks at school, and the teacher motivation in mastering the IT and applying it in the teaching learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the program evaluation and IT training for in- service PPG are absolutely required. It is essential to conduct an IT empowerment for the pre- training teacher in the basis of the network availability and age.

Abstract

Penampilan merupakan hal yang penting bagi wanita. Oleh karena itu, para wanita berupaya untuk tampil sempurna agar dapat menarik perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan citra tubuh pada wanita memiliki anak dan yang tidak memiliki anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel incidental sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 subjek (30 memiliki anak dan 30 yang tidak memiliki anak). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) yang disusun oleh Cash dan Pruzinsky dengan nilai koefisien reliabilitas penelitian 0,797. Hasil uji analisis Independent Samples T-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (р)=0,877 (р>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan citra tubuh pada wanita yang memiliki anak dan tidak memiliki anak.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal gender-based discrimination, forms of gender education, and the importance of gender education in Acehnese families. This study was conducted by using the method of descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interview. The result showed that in Acehnese families, the forms of gender-based discrimination that often faced by women are inequality in housework distribution and childcare. In Aceh, most men still play fewer roles in taking care of children because domestic jobs are seen to be women’s’ responsibilities. Another form of gender-based discrimination in Aceh is domestic violence against women. The result also demonstrated that in Acehnese families there is no gender education because many people do not understand the term of gender equality and gender issues are considered as western culture and still taboo to discuss. Gender education in the family is important because children acquire gender stereotypes at an early age, and they learn about gender equality from their family for the first time. Teaching gender equality to children is never too early, and they never too young to learn about it, they would come out and bring the gender equality in the family and society in general as they will be the pioneer or gender equality when they reach adulthood.

Abstract

In fact, parents nowadays tend to liberate their children more in everything. That is because parents –especially fathers, spend more time working, so in the end children get less attention. These actions that the parent takes are related to the use of permissive parenting. Children with low attention level (permissive parenting) from their fathers are predicting to have an insecure attachment, including anxious-preoccupied attachment. To that end, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between permissive parenting and anxious-preoccupied attachment to fathers among adolescents in Pidie-Aceh, Indonesia. This study used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 200 teenagers. Data collection techniques were performed by using permissive parenting scale and anxious-preoccupied attachment to father scale. The Pearson correlation test results showed that permissive parenting was positively related to anxious-preoccupied attachment to fathers (r count = 0.122; p = 0.042). The analysis proved that permissive parenting was significantly related to adolescents’ attachment to their fathers.

Abstract

This study aims to get a picture of the forms of violent behavior perpetrated by mothers against children in poor communities. The research respondents classified as poor were obtained by the category of families who received the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) assistance, totaling 140 people. Measuring instruments using a scale of violence against children are arranged based on forms of violence against children. Based on demographic data, the following description of respondents was obtained: 93% were married, 96% were housewives, 52% were elementary school graduates, 66% were husband's work as laborers. While the results of the analysis of items on the scale of violence against children obtained data that the form of violent behavior of mothers against children includes: hitting children with hands or with light objects, pinching, slapping, threatening not to give money, calling children by nicknames, comparing children with other children, and say deaf to children. This form of violence is perpetrated by mothers against children with a frequency of 17% rarely, 69% sometimes and 14% often.

Abstract

Fungsi pendidikan nasional membentuk watak serta peradaban yang bermartabat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa agar menjadi  anak bangsa yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cakap, kreatif, mandiri, dan menjadi warga yang demokratis, serta bertanggungjawab, namun untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut sangat sulit sebagian senang dengan tawuran, membolos sekolah, kebohongan serta budaya menyontek pada saat ujian sehingga perlu dianalisis tahapan pendidikan di sekolah-sekolah dan perpaduan pedidikan yang dilakukan oleh Umar bin Abdul Azis serta solusi pendidikan ideal untuk menjadi pertimbangan bagi orang tua, guru serta setiap pihak ataupun instansi yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan anak. Dalam altikel ini penulis gunakan teori interaksi edukasi dengan pendekatan tokoh. Fungsi pendidikan pada saat ini belum tercapai secara maksimal yaitu mengembangkan kemampuan manusia, sebaliknya menghasilkan manusia yang hanya menonjolkan pembentukan kecerdasan berpikir dan menepikan kecerdasan rasa, kecerdasan budi, bahkan kecerdasan batin, kurang kreatif,mandiri dan berakhlak mulia. Pendidikan yang diterapkan Umar bin Abdul Aziz ialah pendidikan di samping transformasi ilmu pengetahuan juga melibatkan hati dan perasaan, sehingga anak ataupun anak didik menemukan jadi diri mereka sebagai manusia paripurna dengan memberi teori dan praktek  dimulai dari memilih pengajar yang menurutnya memiliki akhlakul Karimah, serta dipercaya dapat merawat, dan memberi pengajaran yang  sesuai dengan syari’at Islam. Kemudian, menetapkan cara pendidikan, menetapkan waktu dan prioritas pendidikan, serta memperhatikan hal-hal yang dapat mempengaruhi pendidikan.

Abstract

Bencana gempa dan tsunami kembali terjadi di Pandeglang Banten pada 22 Desember 2018  sebagai dampak dari aktivitas anak gunung Krakatau. Setidaknya korban tewas sebanyak 430 orang, korban luka-luka 1.495 orang, 159 orang hilang, dan 21.991 orang harus diungsikan dari rumahnya. Dari jumlah secara keseluruhan, duapertiganya adalah anak-anak dan perempuan karena ini adalah kelompok yang paling rentan. Saat masa tanggap darurat, pemerintah dan masyarakat hanya fokus pada proses evakuasi, recovery, dan rehabilitasi. Tapi upaya meningkatkan daya tahan diri (resilience) perempuan kurang menjadi perhatian. Tujuan penelitian ini difokuskan untuk menjawab pertanyaan; (1) Bagaimanakah upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah terhadap penguatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perempuan bencana alam di Pandeglang Banten?, (2) Bagaimanakah implikasi program penguatan perempuan terhadap resiliensi para perempuan yang ada di Pandeglang Banten?. Penelitian lapangan ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber dalam penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling, dan ditentukanlah sebanyak enam orang responden yang berasal dari tiga desa yang mengalami dampak terparah dengan karakteristik yaitu; perempuan yang berusia antara 20-40 tahun dan sudah menikah, pernah tinggal di kamp pengungsian, dan rumahnya mengalami kerusakan yang parah. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data ditempuh dengan langkah observasi, wawancara serta studi dokumentasi. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan cara data reduction, data display dan conclusion drawing/ verification. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa terdapat empat program mitigasi bencana yang telah dilakukan pemerintah guna memberikan penguatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perempuan yang menjadi korban bencana gempa dan tsunami di Pandeglang Banten. Implikasi program penguatan perempuan terhadap resiliensi para perempuan tersebut sudah menunjukkan suatu pencapaian. Dimana pengalaman dalam menghadapi tantangan dan kesulitan hidup pasca musibah, mampu mengembangkan keterampilan hidupnya, seperti kemampuan yang realistik dalam membuat rencana hidup dan mampu mengambil langkah yang tepat bagi keberlangsungan hidupnya. Di samping itu, mereka dapat mengembangkan cara untuk mengubah keadaan yang penuh tekanan menjadi sebuah kesempatan untuk pengembangan diri pribadi di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Anak Berhadapan Hukum (ABH) adalah anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum. di wilayah provinsi Aceh kasus ABH menunjukkan angka yang relatif terus naik pada tiga tahun tarkhir untuk mengantisipasi tingginya ABH hal tersebut, Indonesia telah mempunyai Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistim Peradilan Pidana Anak yang subtansiya adalah mengenai restorative justice dan diversi  untuk menghindari dan menjauhkan anak dari proses peradilan. Namun kebijakan  tersebut tidak berpengaruh signifikan bagi menurunya kasus ABH. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis,  untuk  menemukan proses restorative justice dan diversi  yang dilakukan oleh aparat penegak hukum dalam perkara ABH dan melihat efektivitas Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 serta melihat tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap pelaksanaan restorative justice dan diversi  serta efektifitasnya dalam menyelesaikan perkara ABH di wilayah provinsi Aceh.Sedangkan hasil penelitiannya adalah  proses restoratif justice dan diversi dalam menangani kasus ABH di Polres Kabupaten/Kota Provinsi Aceh merujuk Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 dan melibatkan lembaga-lembaga masyarakat lain seperti PEKSOS, BAPAS Aceh, keluarga korban dan pelaku serta perangkat Desa dengan jalan musyawarah. Efektivitas Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 dalam menyelesaikan perkara ABH di wilayah provinsi Aceh pada Polres Lhoksemawe, Polres Aceh Tengah, Polres Aceh Bara dan Polres Aceh Selatan dianggap telah efektif. Namun ada beberapa kendala dan hambatan. Sedangkan dalam hukum Islam sangat menekankan penyelesaian perkara pidana di luar mekanisme peradilan, juga dapat ditelusuri dari berbagai konsep dalam Al Qur’am yakni konsep islah (perdamaian).

Abstract

This article specifically describes the fiqh epistemoloqy as a new perspective in analyzing how Islam views gender equality.  Through fiqh epistemoloqy, which consists of three subdivions of reasoning: bayani, ta'lili, and isthilahi, the author analyzes how the construction of gender in Islam, which has been taken from its detailed dalils. The result of author's analysis shows that each three reasonings have their own tendency and influence toward the construction of gender spirit edification. Among the three fiqh espitomoloqy reasonings, only bayani reasoning is not quite relevant in analyzing gender-based religous texts. Gender is a social construct that involves roles and values that can be pinned on both female and male who, therefore, a gender-based dichotomy is not naturally stuck in human beings from birth. Islam places people in the same level not only to create a fair, affluent, and prosperous social order, but also because gender-based discrimination is a contraproductive form of dehumanization with the normative doctrine of islamic law. To reject the concept of gender is like opposing Islam's strategy as theological legitimacy over the concept of gender. The good and bad of humans in Allah's side, is not determined by whether he is male or female, but it is determined by the quality of his worship and obedience.

Abstract

Involving parents in a continuous learning process from school and home is a challenging program for an educational institution. The classic problem most often encountered is the absence of parents from parenting program activities organized by schools. The presence of a parenting program which is able to connect or bring parents together is indeed needed in supporting the harmony of the learning process. This study aims to determine the response of parents to the implementation of the parenting design program using the WhatsApp group. This study uses a quantitative approach research design with data collection techniques carried out by distributing questionnaires in the form of a Guttman scale which are then validated with the help of SPSS and measured by a percentage index. Research data obtained from 30 respondents from total 120 population. The results showed 87.99% of respondents showed a positive response to the application of group WhatsApp in parenting activities at school.
