Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of attitudes toward willingness to pay of Philips LED bulb, with level  of consumer income as  moderating variable.  The study  was  conducted  in Denpasar  City with sample size of 90 LED bulbs user but have not used the Philips brand.  Sample was determined by purposive sampling and data were collected by using questionnaires distributed directly. The data were processed with Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of  this study indicate that attitudes is positively  affect willingness to pay, but the level of income is negatively affect willingness to pay. Nevertheless, income level are significantly moderate the relationship between attitude and willingness to pay, and the resultsshow a positive coefficient, which means that the income level strengthen the influence of attitude toward willingness to pay of Philips LED bulb

Abstract

Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) is an indicator that used to know the progress of the Indonesian capital market, so can be used as a reflection of Indonesian National Economy . CSPI is influencedby  several  factors,  including  interest  rates,  exchange  rates,  in  particular  US  market  index  (Dow Jones) and market index of Japan (Nikkei 225). The purpose of this study is to determine the effect ofSertifikat Bank Indonesia (SBI) interest rate, exchange rate, the Dow Jones and the Nikkei 225 Indexes on CSPI. This study used 60 samples, which consists of monthly data of all variables during the year 2009-2013. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression. The findings show that SBI interest rate and exchange rate has a negative effect on CSPI. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones and the Nikkei 225 Indexes has a positive impact on CSPI.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of employee commitment on conflict management style with object, circumstances, and conditions of Indonesia. The respondent of this study is 261 employees of government-owned banks from five regencies in the Province of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The data were analized by implementing Multiple Linear Regression Technique. The results show that there is an indicationthat employees who have both commitment to the community and to the supervisor tends to implement integrating and avoiding style. Employees who have a commitment to superior, tends to carry out domi nating and obliging approach. Whereas, employees who have a commitment to society, tend to implementing compromising approach. Implication of this study for future research is carry out longitudinal or ex perimental study.

Abstract

He aim of this study is to examine the effect of job security on exit intention, the effect of job security on job satisfaction, the influence of job satisfaction on turnover intention and the role of job satisfaction in mediating the relationship between job security and turnover intention. Data were collected from 56 contract administration employees at the three study programs of Faculty of Economic and Business, Udayana University and analyzed by linear regression analysis technique. The results show that job security is negatively impacts turnover intention, job security affects job satisfaction positively, job satisfaction affects turnover intention  negatively,and job satisfaction mediates the effect of job security on turnover intention.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the bid-ask spread, market value risk of return and earnings per share (EPS) on the holding period of the stock index LQ45 during 2011-2013. This study used a non-participant observation method to view the report published on the Stock Exchange’s website (www.idx.co.id) and using the bid - ask price data dof Indonesian Capital Electronic Library (ICamel). This study used a sample of 25 companies drawn by the purposive sampling method. Thedata analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that  out of four independent variables considered in this study i.e. bid-ask spread, risk of return, EPS, and market value, only market value has significant effect  on holding period of the stock index LQ45 period 2011- 2013.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of brand image on the influence of countryof origin on brand equity of Toyota car in Denpasar City. This research was conducted to 150 samples by implementing purposive sampling method. The data was collected by using instrument with 5 point Likert’s Scale. The data was analized with Structural Equation Modeling ( SEM ) technique. The results show that 1) country of origin has a positive effect on brand image, 2) country of origin is positively affect brand equi ty, 3) brand image is positively affect brand equity, and 4) brand image mediates the effect of country of origin on brand equity. It is recommended for Toyota Management to further highlight that Toyota is a made in Japan car with an image of developed countries. Additionally, Toyota  management can also improve  its brand image by making Toyota as the top brand award, so it will be able to increase the brand equityof the Toyota products.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Dow Jones, Nikkei 225, FTSE 100 and Straits  Times Indexes on the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on September 2008 until December 2013. This study used non-participant observation method and the whole population was used as sample. The data was analized by multiple linear regression technique. The findings show that Dow Jones Index and Straits Times Index has a positif effect on JCI partially, meanwhile the FTSE 100 index and Nikkei 225 index do not affect JCI during September 2008 until December 2009.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the influence of self-efficacy and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at Happy Bali Tour and Travel. The data was collected by using questionnaire consisting of a number of statements about self-efficacy, motivation and job satisfaction. This study used saturated sample, where the entire population was selected become sample which is consists of 82 employees. Data analysis techniques used in this research was multiple linear regression. The findings show that simultaneously,  self-efficacy  and  work  motivation  has  a  significant  effect  on  job  satisfaction  of employee. Additionally, self-efficacy and work motivation shows a positive impact on job satisfaction of Happy Bali Tour and Travel employee.
