Abstract

This paper aims to revisit the theoretical concepts of Realistic Job Preview (RJP), as a human resource management approach to provide job candidates with information to better match the candidates’ expectations with therealities regarding the job. Further, the paper attempts to present several considerations and strategies in implementing RJP in the socialization, selection, and retention processes of recruitment. The theoretical reviewpresented shows that, when given properly and at the correct timing, RJP could increase job satisfaction, commitment, and performance while reducing turnover. This implies that the information shared through RJP could create a more realistic, deflated expectation about the job and the organization when presented using multiple formats

Abstract

The  aims  of this research  i s  to examine  the  influence  of    external  factors on  f irm  value,   the effect  of   companyvalue  on stock  price,  and influence  of  external factors  on  stock  price. The  samples  were 30  manufacturingcompanies  li sted  in  Indonesia  Stock  Exchange  through  pusposive  sampling.  This  study  applied  secondarydata  based  on  documentation  of the  companies.   Data  analysis  was performed  by  using  Smart  PLS.  Out  of thethree indicators of external factors, two of them i.e.  inflation and exchange rate,  met  the criterion,  becausethey have loading factor above 0,5 .  The resul ts  show that, external factors negatively effect firm value withcoefficient  value  of  0.0933,  means  that  i f  external   factors  changes,  company’ s  value  thr ough  PBV ,  movetowar d  negative  di r ection.  V alue  of  company  influence  stock  price  positively  with  coeff icient  value  of   0.0637.Additionally,  external   factors  show  negat ive  effect   on  stock  price  with  coefficient  value  of  0.1019,  as  anindication that the  changes of  external factor  has negative  impl ication to  the  stock price

Abstract

Adanya LPD di kabupaten Buleleng yang masuk dalam kondisi macet maupun tidak beroperasi, menunjukan bahwa kegiatan operasi LPD belum dikelola secara optimal, Hal ini dapat berdampak pada buruknya kinerja operasi LPD. Pengembangan strategi yang efektif dibutuhkan dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja operasi LPD. Pada penelitian ini mengakaji hubungan kausalitas antara budaya organisasi, strategi operasi, kinerja operasi, dan keunggulan bersaing berkelanjutan LPD di kabupaten Buleleng. Penelitian ini bersifat eksplanasi dengan bentuk kausalitas antar variabel. Pengembangan model dalam penelitian ini berusaha memprediksi hubungan kausalitas antar variabel. Jumlah LPD yang akan dijadikan sampel yaitu sebanyak 54 LPD. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SEM berbasis varian yaitu General Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa budaya organisasi berbasis tri hita karana berpengaruh signifikan terhadap strategi operasi LPD di Kabupaten Buleleng. Kedua strategi operasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja operasi LPD di Kabupaten Buleleng. Ketiga budaya organisasi berbasis tri hita karana tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja operasi LPD di Kabupaten Buleleng. Keempat budaya organisasi berbasis tri hita karana berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing berkelanjutan LPD di Kabupaten Buleleng. Kelima strategi operasi dan kinerja operasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing berkelanjutan LPD di Kabupaten Buleleng. Kata Kunci : kinerja operasi, keunggulan bersaing berkelanjutan, LPD.

Abstract

Firm value is very important because the high value of the firm which will be followed by higher shareholder wealth. This study aims to determine the effect on the value of the company’s financial performance with the dividend policy as a moderating variable. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies listed on the BEI consecutive dividend during the period 2006-2009. The results showed that: 1) liquidity not significant positive effect on firm value, 2) dividend policy is not able to significantly moderate the effect of liquidity on the value company, 3) leverage not significant negative effect on firm value, 4) dividend policy is not able to significantly moderate the effect of leverage on firm value, 5) Profitability significant positive effect on firm value, 6) dividend policy is notable tosignificantly moderate the effect of profitability on firm value

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan gabungan dari penelitian sebelumnya mengenai hubungan antara harga saham dengan kinerja ekonomi makro, dan penelitian mengenai integrasi Pasar Modal internasional.Variabel ekonomi makro dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada pertumbuhan PDB, tingkat suku bunga SBI dan nilai Kurs dolar Amerika terhadap Rupiah dan Indeks saham digunakan adalah Indeks Dow Jones, Indeks Saham Australia, Indeks Shanghai dan Indeks Singapura. Data dikumpulkan dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2015 secara bulanan dengan teknik analisis regresi linier dengan bantuan Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS)

Abstract

The study aims to analyze difference in motivation, organizational commitment, and performance amongpermanent and outsourced employees, as well as the moderating effect of employment status on the influenceof motivation and organizational commitment to employee performance. This research was conducted in PT.Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Kanwil Denpasar, with samples of 67 permanent employees and 67outsourced employees. Analysis technique using Anova and Moderated Regression. The results show thatthere is no significant difference between motivation and performance of permanent and outsourced employees,while there are significant difference between two kinds of employee in organizational commitment.Additionally, employee status emerges as moderating variable of influence of motivation and organizationalcommitment on employee performance. The research can become a reference for the company in improvingemployee performance in relation with employment status, motivation, and organizational commitment.

Abstract

This paper examines whether the anomalies of market overreaction and size effect and or liquidity effect occur on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.We also test the anomalies over short period and longer-term period. The  sample of this research comprises of stocks listed in the KOMPAS 100 index from January 2010 – July 2010. The stocks listed in KOMPAS 100 index are considered as active stocks and provide great influence on the movement Indonesian Capital Market Composite Index (IHSG). Stocks are grouped into two portfolio samples: winner portfolio and loser portfolio. Results depict that only market overreaction occurred and only in loser portfolio.We also find that the market overeaction occur only in short period (6 months). We further test the size effect and liquidity effect. The finding shows that size matter in explaining market overeaction on loser portfolio

Abstract

Setiap organisasi bergerak dalam lingkungan dinamis, berupaya mencapai dan mempertahankan keunggulan kompetitif perlu melakukan inovasi dan karenanya membutuhkan orientasi pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi peran kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan sebagai mediator hubungan orientasi pasar dan inovasi UKM tekstil di Bali. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kausalitas. Sebuah survey dilakukan dan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner 22 item dikembangkan. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah manajer UKM manufaktur tekstil sebanyak 70 responden. Responden diminta mengungkapkan pendapat terkait efek orientasi pasar, kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan,dan inovasi pada perusahaan mereka. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dengan analisis SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) 3.0. Temuan utama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan memediasi pengaruh orientasi pasar terhadap inovasi. Orientasi pasar berpengaruh terhadap inovasi, orientasi pasar berpengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan, dan kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan inovasi. Implikasi penelitian yaitu, dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan inovasi UKM tekstil di Bali, manajer seharusnya konsisten dengan perilaku berorientasi pasar seperti aktivitas mendengar opini pelanggan, fokus pada komitmen pelanggan, fokus menetapkan target pelanggan; dan kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan seperti aktif memindai dan memanfaatkan informasi pasar.Kata kunci: inovasi, kompetensi menghasilkan pengetahuan, orientasi pasar

Abstract

The importance of the activity in foreign exchange occur as the result of the development of international trading and increased international money and capital movement. The vast development of international economic  caused  economic relationship  among  countries  will  be  linked  to  each other  and  subsequently improve trading activities in their goods, money and capital flows. The variables used in this study are spot, forward  and future  spot. Based  on  the result  of Regression  Estimation  applied in  hypothesis on foreign currencies exchange which done simultaneously are proven able to predict future spot. The investor and international economic  actor could use spot  exchange rate and forward  exchange rate as a  short terms predictor for the next trimester in 2011.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is aimed to develop a conceptual relationship between knowledge management and dynamic capabilities that will affect organizational performance. Knowledge is acquired, transferred, internalized, and combined through formal and informal processes in the SECI model will generate new knowledge for the organization. However, the knowledge repository per se is insufficient to boost performance. It needs a company's ability to create, integrate, modify and utilize its knowledge assets. The ability itself is the result of learning and practice within a company. Therefore, the factors that will create effective knowledge management process need to be facilitated by the company, which are related to learning culture, mistrust, and information technology support. In addition to the model, in the era of rapidly changing environmet, it is necessary to build members of organizations with t-shaped skill character namely expert in the knowledge specification as well as open-minded and capable to cooperate in cross-division.
