Abstract

Research was conducted in long bean (Vigna sinensis) that has been produced inTabanan district, Tabanan Regency concerning the residue of Sidazinon insecticide. Theaims of this study are to : know dosage Sidazinon insecticide utilized by farmer inTabanan district and the level of the residue of Sidazinon insecticide found in long bean. The determination of the sample of the farmer of long bean was done inproportional and purposive sampling. The sample was taken in Tabanan district, inTabanan Regency. For the selection of village, search by 10 % from amount village exist,so five of the farmer of long bean were obtained in Tabanan district. The finding show that the residue of the Sidazinon insecticide in long beanproduced in Tabanan district in influenced by the use of dosage was 9,275 ml/ are. Theresidue of Sidazinon insecticide in long bean averagely produced in Tabanan district was0,03045 ppm.

Abstract

Spring is source of water that emerges automatically to the surface from theground. Water samples were taken from springs at Gesing village, close to Buyan lakeand at Teratai Bang Temple (PRTB), a temple in the central of Bedugul BotanicalGarden. There were twenty three parameters of water quality measured and twomicrobiological parameters observed. Six of the twenty five parameters observed wereover than standard namely BOD5, COD, Sulfide, Iron, Lead and Cadmium. The contentof BOD5 at three springs (2.03 – 8.10 mg/l) the highest at PRTB and the lowest at Gesingand all are over standard of 2 mg/l. Cadmium that over standard of 0.01 mg/l is inBuyan spring (0.013 mg/l) and at PRTB (0.012 mg/l). The highest iron is in PRTB spring(0.463 mg/l) that has been over standard of 0.3 mg/l and much higher than that in Balisprings of Sanggalangit, Pemuteran and Banyuwedang (0.1567 – 0.1817 mg/l) also overiron content in Bali lakes that below 0.150 mg/l. Conductivity content in the springs(126-275 ?S/cm), is consistent to the total suspended solid (TDS) of 150-290 mg/l inwhich at the high TDS, the conductivity is high as well and vice versa. At Buyan spring,pH value is the lowest and a bit acid (6.07) that closes related to the highest content ofsulfite (15.55 mg/l). Nitrate at the springs (3.388 – 6.735 mg/l) are high and much higherthan that in Bali springs of Sanggalangit, Pemuteran and Banyuwedang (0.422 - 0.503mg/l) also over than nitrate content in Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan lakes that below2.5 mg/l.

Abstract

Active mud represent process processing of biology by aerobic by using system ofsuspended growth. Microorganism staying in form of suspended referred also solidsuspended liquor mixed ( SSLM), work by fastening organic substrate later thenelaborating it with enzyme of exocelluler so that become its dissolve. Process resolving ofcompounds of organic, microorganism get the source of and carbon of energy. Mudsuspended conducted by 1 g follow the example of Mud or sediment thinned withphysiological condensation ( 8,5 NaCl g / L) and dissolve up to 10-4 ,or can be conductedby taking 0,5 g of sediment into tube reaction of containing 4,5 physiological saltcondensation then shake to get homogeneous suspended. suspended and disseminated bycontaining solder cup on specific media, and then incubation at temperature 270C during24 - 48 hour. Obtained by isolate of RPH1,RPH2, PP, SBDG and STT. During process ofseeding measured parameters, there are VSS and COD that measured base on timeduring treatment. Its process was result RPH2 isolate that showing higher growth ofmicrobiologist activity then another. Result of the research showing that VSS and CODhas highest during treatment.

Abstract

The research were identified terraced land use change and its causality aswell as analyzed the relationship with irrigation management systems in a terracedpaddy landscape in Hokudan-Cho, Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, Central Japan.Between 1963 and 2000. As the result, the land use change from 1963 to 2000 wasdominated by the decrease of terraced paddy field into other utilizations. It becameclear that the social factors which cannot be seen directly in the field inducedinfluences on the pattern of landscape change and the land management in the twotypes of irrigation system. Customary social rules which is contained in Tazu systemwere strongly contributed to the sustainability of the terraced paddy fields. Hopingthis research also can be an inspiration to conserve the landscape of terraced paddyfield in Bali Island.

Abstract

This study was aimed to observe the content of led substances (Pb) in Angsana,s(Pterocarpus indicus Willd) and Glodogan,s (Polyalthia longifolia Bent & Hook. F )leaves growing along the busy roads in Denpasar. The study was conducted fromNovember to December 2002. Sample were obtained from five location with busy trafficswhile another one was from un busy traffics as control. Sample were analysed at AnalyticLaboratory, Udayana University using wet digestion method, then were analysed usingAtomic Absorbance Spectrofotometer (AAS).Result showed that the lead (Pb) content in Angsana’s leave out weighed theGlodogan’s leave and Pb content on November exceeded that on December 2002. Overall, analysis of all samples, on November and December 2002, indicated that the Pb contentwas bellow the standard allowed which was 1000 ppm (?g/g)
