Abstract

Effect of Seed Storage with Drum and Silo on the Shelf Life of 0, 1, and 2 Years on the Seed Quality of Corn (Zea mays L.) This study aims to determine the effect of seed storage with drum and silo on the shelf life of 0, 1, and 2 years on the seed quality of corn (Zea mays L) varieties sele. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment is sixth with a storage drum storage period of 0, 1, and 2 years (DT0, DT1.DT2) and storage silo storage period of 0, 1, and 2 years (ST0, ST1, ST2). The observed variables include moisture content, germination, germination synchrony, seedling dry weight, and the growing strength. The results showed that the seed moisture content decreased with the longer shelf life of both the drum and silo storage. Likewise, other variables, such as germination, simultaneity of germination, seedling dry weight and strength grew. All of these variables are impaired by the longer storage of both the drum and the silo. Storage for one year either in drums or silos are still able to maintain the quality of seed corn above the standard, with over 80% germination.

Abstract

The Effect of Harvesting Age on Seeds Production and Seeds Quality of Long Bean Seeds (Vigna sinensis L.) This research was conducted in January 2018 until May 2018 in Subak Sedang, Angantaka Village, Abiansemal District, Badung, Bali. This research aimedto determine the effects of time of harvesting after flowering on Long Bean seed physiological maturity and quality. This research in a one factor research with 3 differences of age of harvesting. The three age of harvesting : P1 (23 days after flowering), P2 (26 days after flowering), and P3 (29 days after flowering). Theresearch used a randomized block design (RBD) with 9 replications. Observations variables were made on number of pods, number of pithy seeds, weight of seeds per hectare, weight of 1000 seeds, viability and vigor. The results showed that the treatments of age of harvesting P2 (26 DAF) had an effect on the seed production and quality.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Testing Rice Cultivation Technology Package The purpose of this study was to compare the growth and yield of rice plants cultivated with technology package than the peasant way of rice cultivation. This experiment is a field experiment that compared the cultivation technology package with the way farmers, the observed variables consist of variable growth, yield components, and harvest. Observed variables were compared using the t test 0.05. Experiments conducted in Subak Sempidi, Village Sempidi, District Mengwi, Badung regency, Bali province. The experiment was conducted from May to September 2009. Extensive wetland used 1658 m2 to 1560 m2 and a Technology Package for Farmers Cultivation Method. The analysis showed that the treatment was not real different technology packages to farmers cultivating ways. Yields obtained 12.39 tons / ha dry grain harvest for technology packages and 11.47 tons / ha for cultivation dry grain harvest way farmers. Key word : Cultivation Technology Package – Rice

Abstract

The Mosaic Virus Infections in Soybean Plants in Bali This study aimed to detect Soybean Mosaic Virus (SMV), Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV), and Potyvirus that infect soybean plants in Bali. The study was conducted from January to March 2017 located in nine observation locations of soybean crops throughout Bali. Observations were made on the symptoms found in the field and the incidence of the disease was determined by the Elisa (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) serology test by using SMV, CMV, and Potyvirus antibodies.Field observations showed that the percentage of disease incidence with mosaic symptoms was 50%. Serologic assay results showed that in all samples tested were infected by CMV, SMV and Potyvirus and multiple infections between CMV-SMV, CMV-Potyvirus, and Potyvirus-SMV. Serological test results from the mosaic symptomatic samples showed the highest CMV infection occurred in Klungkung (60%), and the lowest were in Buleleng, Jembrana, Tabanan and Bangli respectively (30%). The highest SMV infection occurred in Denpasar (60%) and the lowest occurred in Karangasem (30%). The highest Potyvirus infection occurred in Denpasar (30%) and the lowest occurred or did not occur Potyvirus infection in Jembrana and Bangli (0.0%). Through serological tests, soybean plant samples from nine observation sites of soybean plants throughout Bali were positive against the antisera of SMV, CMV, and Potyvirus.

Abstract

The Abundance of Fruit Flies (Bactrocera spp.) and the Percentages of Damage on Pumpkins (cucurbita maxima duch) in Bali Province The research of population a bundance and percentase of damage of bactrocera spp on pumpkin plants in Bali Province was carried out in ordel to determine the abundance of adults insect population and percentase of damage of this insect. The field regencies was connected in Bangli, Gianyar and Badung regencies and was crutimued in the Integrated Laboratory of Pest and disersaes Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, from February until April 2019. This research showed that the species was found to attack pumkins in the field were Bactrocera cucurbitae. The abundance of adult insect was calculated based on each fruit grades. The abundance on grade 5-10, 11-15, 16-20 >20 cm were 529, 239, 140, and 90, respectively. The of percentage of damage was calculated in lack vergency, where the sampling take place. The percentage of damage in Gianyar, Badung, and Bangli were 34%, 28%, and 30%, respectively.

Abstract

Landform Analysis to Determine Recharge Zone Potential in Southern Bedugul Area Water recharge area is one of the most important part in hydrologic cycle that aimed in passing groundwater, thus determining stability and sustainability of groundwater. The objective of this research to identify the characteristics of landforms on the southern Bedugul Area and determine the potential of the water recharge area in the process of groundwater formation. This research started from August 2017 until May 2018 included the secondary and primary data collection, and to thesis preparation. The method used in this research is survey and map interpretation purposive sampling method with the technique of landform analysis (topography, rock material, permeability, soil texture, and rainfall data) and spatial analysis (Geographic Information System and overlay). Maps that used in overlapping in this research were geological maps, hydrogeological maps, land type maps, and rainfall data. The result of this study obtained where in research location there are 4 (four) recharge water zones potential criteria, which are good potential, normal natural, start of critical, and critical. As for the research area is dominated by the area with a good potential as a recharge with an area of 3.791,37 ha (63,6 %), areas with normal natural recharge potential of 1.551,18 ha (26,43 %). The area with a start of critical recharge potential of 507,08 ha (7,63 %) and the critical criteria is only 19,37 ha (0,33 %).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Identification of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza through Microscopis Methode in Rhizosfer of Several Grass and Cacao ( Theobroma cacao L.) Arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi that live in a symbiotic mutualism with plant roots and helps the absorption of plant nutrients, and also able to live in various places. The study aimed to identifiy arbuscular mycorrhiza through microscopic methode in rhizosfer of several grass and cacao was conducted from December 2013 to March 2014. The method used in this study were spore isolation by wet sieving and root staining techniques. The results showed that arbuscular mycorrhiza spores and structures found in Imperata cylindrica L. are 2 types spores of genus Glomus (Glomales: Glomeaceae) with vesicular and hyphae structures. The presence of spores and structures in Paspalum notatum are Acaulospora (Glomales: Acaulosporaceae) and genus Gigaspora (Glomales: Gigasporineae) with arbuscular, vesicular and hyphae structure. Spores and structures of mycorrhiza found in the Pennisetum purpureum are 3 types of the genus Glomus with hyphae and arbuscular structure. Spores and structures mycorrhiza in the Cyperus rotundus are 1 type spore of the genus Gigaspora and 2 types of spores Glomus with internal hyphae structure. While spores and mycorrhiza structures in the cacao are 2 types spore of the genus Glomus with hyphae and vesicular structures.   Keywords: Glomus, Gigaspora, Acaulospora, Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Structure

Abstract

Effect of Virus Infection Several Types of Decreased Production Plant Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum Mill ) in Dusun Marga Tengah, Kerta Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency The purpose of this research is to know the how much yield loss due to virus infection on tomato plants as well as knowing viruses that attack tomato plants with symptoms of mosaic and yellow. This study was conducted from October 2016 through December 2016 held at Dusun Marga Tengah, Payangan, Gianyar. Activities undertaken during the study was the observation of symptomatic plant virus, harvesting, sampling symptomatic mosaic, yellow and serology ELISA (Enzyme Link Immunosorbent Assay). Field observations show that plants with mosaic symptoms have a higher incidence of the disease (21.75%) and plants with symptoms of yellow (13.17%). Tomato plants with mosaic symptoms resulted in an average yield of 498.54 grams with the highest rate of loss of 82.73% and a yellow tomato plants with symptoms caused average crop yield of 1672.50 grams with a loss rate of yield of 44.48%. The results of serologic testing by ELISA of leaf samples of tomato plants with mosaic symptoms were positively infected TMV (Kutu Putih) and leaf samples of tomato plants with symptoms of infection PepYLCV (Pepper yellow leaf curl virus) positive yellow.

Abstract

Population Density and Presentage of damage Red Mite Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acarina : Tetranychidae) on Siam Citrus (Citrus nobilis Lour) treated with Acaricide Pyridaben 135 g/l This research was carried out in Sekaan village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, from January until March 2018. The study used Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 acricide treatments of I, II, III, IV, and control were 0.125 ml / l, 0.25 ml / l, 0.375 ml / l, 0.5 ml / l and 0 ml/l, respectively. Piridaben acaricide had a significant effect on population density and percentage damage of T. urticae. The highest population density and Percentage damage of T. urticae on leaves and fruit was found at control and the lowest at 0.5 ml / l treatment.

Abstract

The Study Result and the Quality of the Seed Rice P05 by AdministeringBiological Fertilizer (Enterobacter cloacae)The purposes of this research were to find out the influence of biological fertilizer Egary which contains rhizobacteria Enterobacter cloacae related to the crop of P05 rice, as well as to test the effectiveness of biological fertilizer to reduce the utilization of chemical fertilizer, and to obtain the quality of the seed production.The resullt indicated that the augmentation of biological fertilizer plus chemical fertilizer phonska and urea at 100 kg/ha each (Pb) increased the production of the rice crop about 1.0 tons/ha or increased about 38.46% and the result of biological fertilizer plus chemical fertilizer phonska and urea at 200 kg/ha each (Pc) increased about 0,7 tons/ha or about 33.99% if compared with control. The research of Pb treatment with biological fertilizer plus chemical fertilizer phonska and urea at 100 kg/ha each, produced P05 rice crop variety for 7.2 tons/ha and improved the quality of the seeds both physical and physiological parameters, produced 1000 grain weight of seeds, germination and vigor highest power savings and has better endurance than Pc and control (29.62 g, 87.64%, and 81.45%, respectively).
