Abstract

Styles and strategies used in language learning actually different in terms, however, they giveeffects to the success of language learners. The learning styles comes from personalityvariables. Take for example; psychology, cognitive make up, socio-culture background andeducational experience. Learning strategies relates to the behaviour or thought of learners toenhance their own learning. The functions of learning strategies is to make language learningeasier, faster, more enjoyable, more self-directed, more effective, and more transferrable. Thecombination of language learning styles and strategies will create more independent andautonomous learners.Keywords: Learning Styles, Learning Strategies, and Implication of Learning Stylesand Strategies in L2Teaching.

Abstract

Multimedia-based learning approach used in language learning teaching will giveimprovement in pronunciation learning. Elements of multimedia involved in (text, sound,video, animation) can make the teacher maximize his teachig process so that the learning goalscan be achieved effectively. In teaching Pronunciation a teacher is to make the studentspronounce the words correctly as well as consider the stress and intonation in order thecommunication runs well. By applying the multimedia-based learning in Pronunciationteaching, the teaching or learning will be more interesting and productive so that the students’understanding about language will improve from time to time. Although the weaknesses of thisapproach will occur during the time of teaching learning process take place, it can be takeninto account as one of the effective approaches in language teaching.Keywords—The importances of pronunciation, sound types,multimedia-based learning in thepronunciation teaching, effectiveness of the multimedia-based learning in pronunciation, morespecific strengths of multimedia-based learning approach in teaching pronunciation, someproblems in applying multimedia-based learning in pronunciation

Abstract

Being a teacheris not really easy. There are steps he must take into account to createsuccessful teaching process. During the teaching process, the teacher focusesnot only onpreparing and delivering teaching materials, but also on how to organize the students dothe class activities individually or groups. However, the teacher also needs to have innercompetencies to make his teaching successful. These competencies cover his ability inunderstanding the truth of learning, knowing the learning principles, getting ideas of thetruth of teaching, and finding out his students’ character. Improving his innercompetencies of teaching continuously will lead him to create smooth teaching process Itwill of course give big influences for the success of teaching and learning. The teacher canbe a better and wiser person while facing difficulties in conducting teaching duties.Meanwhile, he can bring his students achieve better in learning.Keywords–– Inner competencies, the truth of learning, the learning principles, the truth ofteaching, and knowing the students’ character.
