Abstract

Lesson Plan is one of the most important element in teaching. It is the teachers’ road map of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time. Due to its importance, in this research, the researcher try to conduct a research relaed to the teachers’ lesson plan in Lesson Study in SMP Cokromnito Palopo. This research is itended to describe how the teacher’s lesson plan in SMP Cokroaminoto Palopo. This reseach was done trough Lesson Study activities so the lesson plan described is Lesson Study context. This research employed qualitative research and applied descriptive study. The teacher was choosen as the subject of this research was the English teacher of SMP Cokroaminoto Palopo. She taught seven grade and the researcher observed two cycles planning. The research instrument were direct observation, video recording and teacher’s lesson plan. After analyzing the research, then the researcher can conclude that there are some aspects can be found from the Lesson Plan after pnanning for two cycles. They are : the teacher plan to use cooperative learning method, Learning media (memo paper, word card, and LCD), Assessment (teacher assessment), Students’ seating arrangement (U shape).

Abstract

Membaca pemahaman merupakan proses pemahaman bacaan yang dapat berfokus pada keterampilan untuk memahami dan mengeksplorasi isi teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik menggunakan media buku cerita bergambar siswa kelas IV SDN 46 Matarin Kecamatan Basse Sangtempe Kabupaten Luwu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) melalui 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 46 Matarin melalui media buku cerita bergambar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa yang dapat diketahui pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa yaitu 62,6 kategori cukup dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 35,29%, kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa yaitu 83,2 kategori baik dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 94,11%. Dengan demikian, melalui media buku cerita bergambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 46 Matarin Kecamatan Basse Sangtempe Kabupaten Luwu..

Abstract

This research aims at finding out the correlation between reading speed and reading comprehension of the second semester students of IIK Pelamonia Makassar. This research deals with the correlation between reading speed and reading comprehension. There are two steps of activity, reading speed means use time efficiently and reading comprehension means understand the passage. The population of this research was the second semester of Pharmacy major at IIK Pelamonia Makassar which consisted of four classes. The researcher took only one class as the sample, Class A which is consisted of 30 students. The investigation shows that the coefficient correlation of the two variable (rxy) is worse than the critical value or (r), r < critical value of (r) with (N) = 30 on 99 % level of significance is 0.361. It mean that there is no significant correlation between reading speed and reading comprehension of the second of Pharmacy major at IIK Pelamonia Makassar .
