Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of the use of LCDS-based interactive electronic schoolbook (ESB) on atomic nuclei material with a scientific approach to Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) and scientific attitudes of students and to investigate the average HOTS value of students after both using interactive and non-interactive ESB. The research design was a Non-equivalent Control Group Design, involving students as the research subjects from one of the State High Schools in Kotabumi, with XII IPA 5 as an experimental class and XII IPA 4 as a control class. Data processing techniques were performed by T-test. The results of the HOTS pretest-posttest students in the experimental class revealed that the Sig. (2-Tailed) value was smaller than 0.05, which was equal to 0,000, indicating that there was an effect of the use of LCDS-based interactive ESB with a scientific approach to the material of the atomic nuclei on HOTS students. The test results of the differences in scientific attitudes of students between the two classes enclosed that the Sig. (2-Tailed) value of 0.001 was smaller than 0.05. This implied the great influence of the use of LCDS-based interactive ESB on the scientific attitude of students. HOTS results of students in both classes also obtained the Sig. (2-Tailed) value of 0,000, stating that there was a significant difference in the average N-gain HOTS value of students who learned with LCDS-based interactive ESB against the non-interactive model.

The approach used was STEM-integrated flipped classroom . Data collection methods using a questionnaire were analyzed with descriptive analysis with the 15 professional and unprofessional teachers and 30 students in Lampung province as respondents . The results of teachers 'perceptions about e-modules amounted to 66.7% if presented as belonging to the required category, while the results of students' perceptions using e-modules amounted to 63.3% and  classified as needed. Practice was also needed in making e-modules with the results of 73.3% of teachers answering practical answers and 56.7% of students answering practical questions. It can be inferred that students need new teaching materials to support practical and easy to use learning t any time limit

Abstract

Abstract: The study aims to develop a student worksheet based on problem solving to increase HOTS of students on optical instrument material. A student worksheet was developed using the ADDIE development model with the stages of Analyze, Design, and Development. The data generated in this research is the validity and practicality of student worksheet. Validity of student worksheet has been performed by three experts and got results on the "very high" category. Practicality is done by giving a poll to find out the student's response to the student worksheet. The poll shows students ' responses including "good" on all aspects, i.e. the aspect of the ministry, ease, and benefits of the student worksheet. These results indicate that the student worksheet based problem solving is stated to be valid and practical for use in the learning of optical material physics in the classroom

Abstract

This research aims to develop an assessment of problem-solving skills in improving students' digital literacy skills. This research is directed to produce physics learning assessments that can improve students' digital literacy using problem-solving skills assessments. The use of assessments that refer to the problem-solving skills stage is expected to improve students' digital literacy. The study is an R D research with the Borg and Gall development model. On the preliminary research, a questionnaire is needed to detect need analysis of an assessment that can help improving student digital literacy skills. Questionnaires were used to collect expert review data, while cognitive tests were used to collect data on students' problem-solving skills. Cognitive tests by posttest form were held to find out the progress of students understanding during the learning process using the products. The results of content validity by Aiken’s V is 0.80. The factor analysis is seen by the Bartlett test value with Chi-squares = 1.604 and significance at 0.659. Therefore, the problem-solving skills assessment from the aspect of content and construction has valid criteria and is suitable for use. The N-Gain test results of students problem-solving skills in the experimental class by 0.3 with a quite effective category higher than the control class of 0.12 with a quite effective category. The results show that the use of assessment of problem-solving skills effectively improved students digital literacy skills.

Abstract

This reseach aims to determine the application effect of guided inquiry laboratory model on students’ logical thinking ability on the material of heat to electricity conversion. The population in this reseach were all students of class XII MIA at SMA Negeri 15 Bandarlampung for the 2019/2020 academic year. The technique used is purposive sampling, so that the sample in class XII MIA 1 is obtained in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The process of collecting data using interview techniques as a preliminary study and through pretest-posttest. The test question used is the Logical Thinking Test which measures five indicator’s of logical thinking. Hypothesis testing is done by using Paired Sample T-Test. The results of the analysis showed that the average difference between the posttest and pretest scores was 30.80 for all indicators. Data analysis also obtained an average n-gain of 0.55 which is included in the medium category. The n-gain test was also carried out on each indicator and was in the medium category. The variable controlling indicator shows n-gain of 0.65; probabilistic reasoning of 0.66; correlational reasoning of 0.62; proportional reasoning of 0.51; and combinatorial 0,36. Based on the entire analysis test, the results of the reseach showed that there was a significant effect of applying the guided inquiry laboratory model on the students’ logical thinking ability on the material of heat to electricity conversion.
