Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was categorized into three. First, to describe the text writing skills of the experimental class persuasion students. Second, to describe the text writing skills of the control class students' persuasion. Third, to describe the influence of the cooperative learning which was Think Talk Write (TTW) model assisted by audiovisual media in writing skill related to the persuasive text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. The type of study was quantitative with quasi-experimental research. The design of this study was static by two groups. The population in this study was VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang who were enrolled in 2018/2019 academic year about 252 students. The sample in this study was 64 students that consist of two classes, namely class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class that was taken by using purposive random sampling technique. There were several results of this study. They were: First, persuasive text writing skill of the experimental class students was in the category Very Good (BS) with an average score of 85.94. Second, persuasive text writing skill of control class students was in the category Good (B) with an average score of 76.82. Third, the working hypothesis (H_1) was received at the level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = (n1 + n2) -2 because of tcount>ttable, which is 4.23> 1.70. In other words, the use of model cooperative learning type Think Talk Write assisted by audiovisual media has a significant effect on the persuasive writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Therefore, the cooperative learning type Think Talk Write (TTW) model could be used as an alternative in learning persuasive text writing skill at the junior secondary level. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the writing skills of fable texts of grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang before using inquiry strategies assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describing the skill of writing fable texts in grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang after using inquiry strategies assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describe the influence of the use of inquiry strategies assisted by audiovisual media on fable text writing skills of seventh grade students of Padang 7 Public Middle School. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study was one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were seventh grade students of Padang 7 Public Middle School who were enrolled in 2018/2019 school year as many as 251 people. The sample in this study were 31 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The variables of this study were fable text writing skills before and after using inquiry learning strategies assisted by audiovisual media in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The instrument of this study was performance tests, namely tests of writing fable texts before and after using inquiry learning strategies assisted by audiovisual media. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, writing fable text skills before using the incuri strategy assisted by audiovisual media in grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 7 were in a sufficient qualification (C) with an average of 62.37. Second, fable text writing skills after using inquiry strategies assisted by audiovisual media in class VII Padang 7 SMP Negeri are in Good qualification (B) with an average of 81.45. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of t count> t table, which is 6.17> 1.70.  Kata Kunci: pengaruh, strategi inkuiri, keterampilan menulis teks fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the skills of writing biographical texts of class X SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi before using mind mapping assisted discovery learning models, (2) describe the biography text writing skills of class X Bukittinggi SMA 3 students after using mind-assisted discovery learning models mapping, and (3) analyzing the influence of the use of discovery learning models assisted by mind mapping on biography text writing skills of class X Bukittinggi 3 Public High School students. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study is One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The population of students in class X of SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi was 352 students spread in ten classes. The sample in this study were students of class X MIPA 1 Bukittinggi State High School 3. The variable in this study is the writing biographical skills of students before and after using mind mapping assisted discovery learning models. The instruments used in this study were performance tests. The data of this study are scores on the results of biographical text writing skills tests for class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Bukittinggi before and after using mind mapping assisted discovery learning models. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study has three objectives which are described as follows: (1) Describe the ability to write a film review text in class XI SMA N 7 Padang before using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media. (2) Explaining the skills of writing a movie review text for grade XI of SMA N 7 Padang after using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media. (3) Explain the influence of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media on the skills of writing film review texts on grade XI students of SMA N 7 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this research is one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were class XI students of SMA N 7 Padang, who were registered in the 2018/2019 school year as many as 332 people. The sample in this study was 33 students who were determined using a technique (purposive sampling). The variable of this study is the text writing skills of film reviews before and after using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of class XI students of SMA N 7 Padang. Kata kunci: Pengaruh, model problem bassed learning berbantuan media audiovisual, menulis teks ulasan film

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is the students’ ability of writing the report of observation’s result text is low, which one of the factors that cause it,  is sentence error. The purpose of this research is to describe the sentence error in the report of observation’s result text which is reviewed by these aspects (1) the structure of syntax’s function, (2) the deficiency of sentence’s element (3) the excrescent of the sentence’s element, (4) the error of reasoning arrangement. This type of the research is qualitative with the descriptive method. The instrument of the research is the reseracher himself. The data of this reseach is the error sentences.  The source of the data’s research is achieved from the report of observation’s result text of the VII 1 grade in SMP Negeri 12 Padang. The data is analyzed through these steps (1) Identifying the general description and data’s coding, (2) Data Inventory, (3) Identifying the forms of the sentence error, (4) Analyzing the sentence error and, (5) Concluding the result of the research. The results of this research as follows. First,the sentence error on the aspect of syntax structure is the error of the use of the predicate. Second, the sentence error on the deficiency of sentence’s element is there is no subject, lack of independepnt clause, lack of conjunction,  and there is no affix in the root that should be added by affix. Third, the sentence error on the excrescent of the sentence’s element is the overlap of the use of plural indicator, redundancy, and the inappropriate affix on the root. Fourth, The sentence error on reasoning arrangement is the meaning  of the sentence is not logical, and the error of the choice of words to explain the meaning of the sentence Key words : Sentence error, the report of observation’s result text.Kata Kunci: Kesalahan Kalimat, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to illustrate the effect of using model Copy The Master techniques on the writing skills of poetry text in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Padang. This research used quantitative method which usedone group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Padang. There was 288 population but there was only one class to be the sampel. It was class X MIPA 1 which consisted of 32 students that choosen by using purposive sampling technique. Research data is the result of the score in the skill of writing poetry text before and after using model Copy The Master technique. This study has three result. First, the skill to write poetry text in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Padang before using the model Copy The Master technique with an average score of 69,27. Second, the skill of writing poetry text of the students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Padang aftel using the model imitation technique with an average score of 79,39. Third, based on the t-test at the level of 0.95 obtained tcount >ttabel (4,62> 1,70). So, it can be said that H1 is accepted. This means that there can be a significant influence on the use of model Copy The Master techniques on the writing skills of poetry text in class X of SMA Negeri 4 Padang. Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Teknik Copy The Master, Kemampuan Menulis, Teks         Puisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed (1) to describe the planning problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (2) describe the application of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (3) describe the describe evaluating problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (4) describe students opinions of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. Subjects in this study were teachers in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. The methods used to collect the data in this study is the method of documentation, observation and interview methods. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive methods. The results of this study are (1) planning problem based learning model created by teachers such as lesson plans matching with curriculum in 2013; (2) the application of problem-based learning model that teachers are in accordance with the syntax of problem-based learning model; (3) evaluating problem-based learning made by the teacher is in accordance with scientific assessment; (4) positive response of students towards problem-based learning in learning to write poetry texts of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. Kata kunci : model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, puisi

Abstract

This article of research to describing the comprehension of vocabulary, describing the writing skill of description text, and describing the contribution of  vocabulary towards the skill in writing description text at students grade X SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The method used is this research is descriptive and correlational design. Based of result data analyze and explanation, were concluded 3 case. First, comprehension of vocabulary students grade at X  SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan was on good qualification (77,43). Second, writing skills of description text  at students grade X SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan was on good qualification (79,01).
