Abstract

One of the efforts to produce the sweet corn of high production and good quality,certainly should pay attention to nutrient availability in the soil. It is considering the plant sweet corn is in need of adequate nutrient supply. One way to increase production of sweet corn plant withfertilizing, fertilizingwith right doses, right way and the right timeincreasesproduction of sweet corn plants. The objective of the research wasto get the bestinteraction of giving vermicompost and N, P, K on growth and production of sweet corn plants. This research arranged experimentaly using Randomized Block Design(RBD) which consists of 9 individual interactions 3 repeats, so the retrieved 27 units where each unit of experimental trials there are 24 plants and 5 plants used as samples. Parameters observed were the plant height, stament appear time,cob diameter withoutcornhusk,coblengthwithoutcornhusk, cob weight withoutcornhuskpersample and productionperplotwithoutcornhusk. The results show that the interaction of vermicompost and N, P, K on 4,5 ton/ha dose of vermicompost and N, P and K (300 kg/ha of Urea SP-36 200kg/100 kg KCL/ha ha) gaves the best effect on the growth and production of sweet corn. Abstract

The cultivation of plants melon in Riau based on condition growing is in line, but there were several obstacles such as the land in riau levels of fertility land which is low.This research aims to determine the combination of doses of an empty oil palm bunches of compost and fertilizer n, p, k the best against growth and melon crop production (Cucumis melo L.) in the trial gardenFaculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted on February 2015 until June 2015. The research has been carried out experimentally in the form of Randomized Completely Design Factorial 2 x 4. The first factor is the dose compost of  oil palm empty fruit bunches consist of two levels and the second factor is the dose of N (ZA) fertilizer, P (TSP) fertilizer and K (KCL) fertilizer consist of four levels. Data analyzed by ANOVA and further tested using by Duncan`s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%.parameter made were higher plants, diameter of stem, appears the male flowers and female flowers, diameter of fruits, weight of fruits per sampel and weightof fruits per plot. The results showed the treatment compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches and N, P, K fertilizer significantly affect on the plants height, diameter of stem, appears the male flowers and female flowers but not significant on the diameter of fruits, weight of fruits per sampel and weightof fruits per plot. The application compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches with dose of 20 tons/ha and ZA fertilizer 120 kg/ ha, TSP fertilizer 80 kg/ha, KCl 200 kg/ ha is the best dose in order to enchance growth and production of melon. Abstract

  The objectives of this research to determine the effect of coconut water concentration  on dragon fruit (Hylocereus costaricensis) nursery. This research was conducted at dragon fruit plantation of dragon fruit Tameran, Bengkalis, in August to December 2012. This experiment used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were Coconut Water  Concentration (P) as followed: P1: 0% (0 ml coconut water in 100 ml of water), P2: 25 % (25 ml coconut water in 75 ml of water), P3: 50% (50 ml coconut water in 50 ml of water), P4: 75% (75 ml coconut water in 50 ml of water), P5: 100% (100 ml coconut water in 0 ml of water). Parameters observed: those appearing shoot, shoot length, number of shoot, added root length, added number of roots, root volume, fresh and dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested using Duncan New Multiple Range Test level 5%. The research suggested that 50% concentration coconut water was the best for growth added root length, added number of roots, root volume, fresh and dry weight. Abstract

This reseach aims to determine the effect of interaction of organic fertilizer combination on the growth of two varieties of sorghum. The research was conducted experimentally by using Split Plot Design (SPD) that stacked as RAK pattern consist of main plot varieties CTY-33 and Numbu. Subplot consist of chicken manure fertilizer, chicken manure combined with vermicompost fertilizer and goat manure fertilizer combined with vermicompost fertilizer with 3 replications. Parameters measured were the plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, panicle length, days to flowering. The results of research shows the best varietys is Numbu varietys, interactions of giving some organic fertilizer on two varieties of sorghum significantly affected on sorghum plant height. Application of organic fertilizers can increase the growth of sorghum plane. Treatment of 2 tons/ha- chicken manure in combinacion with 600 kg/ha- vermicompost fertilizer gave the best response to plant height and stem diameter compared with others.   Keywords : Chicken manure fertilizer, goat manure fertilizer, sorghum, vermicompost

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine growth and production of baby kailan (Brassica alboglabra L.) with giving Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm and get the best treatment for growt hand production of baby kailan. This research was conducted at the land of the Laboratory of Plants of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau for 2 months. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisted of 5 treatments with four replications. The Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm treat ments as follows: P0 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 0 ton/ha, P1 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 3 ton/ha, P2 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 6 ton/ha, P3 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 9 ton/ha and P4 : Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 12 ton/ha. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and further test DNMRT at 5% level. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, plant fresh weight per plot and weight of crop suitable for consumption per plot. The results showed application of Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm significantly affect to all parameters tested. The treatment of Tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm 12 ton/ha is the best concentration for all parameters tested. Keyword : Brassica alboglabra L., tricho-compost empty bunch of oil palm

Abstract

Good organic material used as fertilizer is bioslurry and chicken manure fertilizer, bioslurry fertilizer will be maximized when combined with chicken manure fertilizer as chicken manure fertilizer has advantages over other animal manures. This research aims to determine the effect of bioslurry fertilizer combination with chicken manure fertlizer and get the best treatment combination in oil palm seed in main nursery. This experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Consists of 10 treatments and 3 replications combination, in order to obtain 30 units of experiments, each unit consist of 2 plants. The treatments are: P0: bioslurry fertilizer 0 ml with chicken manure fertilizer 0 g, P1: 100 ml with 0 g, P2: 200 ml with 0 g, P3: 300 ml with  0 g, P4: 100 ml with 50 g P5: 200 ml with 50 g, P6: 300 ml with 50 g, P7: 100 ml with 100 g, P8: 200 ml with 100 g, P9: 300 ml with 100 g. Parameter observed were : the seeds height, number of leaves, stump diameter, root volume, root crown ratio and seeds dry weight. The results of research indicated the combination of bioslurry fertilizer application with chicken manure fertilizer real effect on all parameter of seeds height  and seeds root volume. Combination of 200 ml biogas fertilizer with 100 g chicken manure fertilizer is the best combination of all parameter. Keywords: Bioslurry fertilizer, chicken manure fertilizer, oil palm seed

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determining the effect of some  treatment combinations and to determine the combination of best compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite that could support growth seeds palm oil plantations in a main nursery. This research has been conducted in the experimental field, Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau from April to July 2015. The research used Completely Randomized Design Factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is giving compost bunches empty palm oil which consist of three levels, they are: K1= 37,5 g/polybag, K2= 75 g/polybag and K3= 112,5 g/polybag. The second factor is giving lime dolomite (CaMg (CO3)2) which consist of three levels, they are: D1=9 g/polybag, D2= 18 g/polybag and D3= 30 g/polybag. Both of these factors resulted in 9 treatsments combination. Each combination made three replications, so that there are 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of two plants, so the total crop was 54 plants. The data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and the means were tested with Duncan 's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level of 5%. The research results show that combination of compost bunches empty palm oil and dolomite had show the real effect on the increase in diameter hump of seedlings , but the effect not real on the parameters height of seedlings,increase number of leaves, volume roots, ratio crown rootsand and dry weight of seedlings. Combination compost bunches empty palm oil 112,5 g/polybag and dolomite 18 g/polybag showed better results for the growth of palm oil seedlings. Abstract

Pakcoy is a type of mustard are cultivated by farmers. Plants pakcoy seen from the economic and business aspects should be developed to meet consumer demand higher and higher so that the necessary technical good farming. One of them with fertilization. Fertilizer that can be used for cultivation pakcoy one of them is by using Tricho - compost TKKS . This study aimed to determine the effect Tricho - compost application and get a better dose on growth and production Pakcoy . This study used a randomized block design (RBD ) consists of 5 treatments with 4 replicates . The treatment being tested is the use of multiple doses of Tricho - compost TKKS namely providing Tricho - compost TKKS with doses of 0 ( no Tricho - compost EFB ), 3, 6, 9 and 12 tons / ha. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and tested further by a further test DNMRT. The results showed multiple dose administration of Tricho - compost TKKS showed different effects on parameters of plant height, plant fresh weight and fresh weight of plants suitable for consumption, while for the parameter number and leaf area and root crown ratio did not show a different effect. Tricho - compost dosing TKKS with a dose of 9 tons / dose constitutethe best dose for plant height parameters, plant freshweightandplantfreshweight ofconsumable. Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the best effect of giving interval coconut water and rice water dosage on the growth of rubber seeds sleeping eyes stum. The experiment was carried out in the greenhouse of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, from February to May 2014. The study arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Design(CRD) factorial two factor, factor I is an interval giving coconut water consists of 3 levels: 3 days, 6 days and 9 days. Factor II is rice water dosage consists of 3 levels: 0.75 l/plant, 1 l/plant and 1.25 l/plant and there are 9 combinations of treatments and treatments was repeated 3 times then obtained 27 experimental units, with each unit 3 seeds population. Parameters measured were the time of buds growth, trunk height, trunk diameter,number of leaves and leaf width. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and followed by DNMRT at level of 5%. The results showed that the combination of intervals and coconut water 9 days and a dose of rice water 1,25 l/plant is the best result for trunk diameter, number of leaves and leaf width. Abstract

Kang kong (Ipomeareptans Poir) is popular and tasty vegetable mainly grown in tropical asia. In this experiment, we tried to apply rice hay trichocompost to look at if the trichocompost could be utilized for fertilizer in cultivating kang kong.  The research was conducted at the Agriculture Experiment Station, University of Riau from June to July 2013. Five rates of trichocompost was applied and arranged in a randomized block design with four replications. Two seed of kang kong were planted each planting hill with planting space of 20 cm x 30 cm in. Plot size was 1,0 m in length and 1,5 m wide.Observations were made for plant height, shoot-root ratio, number of leaves per plant, leaf canopy area, and fresh weight per plant. The results showed that rice hay trichokompost improved plant growth, mainly in plant height, number of leaves and increased production as represented by vegetable fresh weight. However,leaf canopy area and shoot-root ratio showed no significant differences among the rate of trichokompost. The research suggested that rice hay trichocompost may be applied to the rate of 12 tons / ha in order to obtain better growth and higher fresh vegetable yield.
