Abstract

One of the factors that affect the growth and productivity of coffee plants is largely caused by microclimates such as air temperature, air humidity, wind speed and light intensity related to the type of shade used. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of shade on the growth and productivity of robusta coffee plants. This observation was carried out on the agroforestry coffee plantation land of Wonosalam District. The coffee plants observed were 5 to 7 years old, and the shade used in the observations were lamtoro trees, avocados and sengon trees. While the research design used was a randomized experimental design consisting of control shade and plant shade. Thus, based on the results of observations that have been made for one month, the highest results in the first week were obtained 25.5-26.30C at air temperature. While the highest observed humidity occurs in the first week and fourth week by 71%. The highest wind speed occurs in the third and fourth weeks of 4.8-5.0 km / hour. The highest light intensity produced occurred in the third week of the control shade, which was 37020 LUX. The results of these observations prove that the use of shade plants has no real effect on the production and growth of robusta coffee plants.

Abstract

Badang Village is one of the areas in Jombang Regency that has the potential for yards that are rich in biotic resources, one of which is fruit plants. This study aims to determine the diversity of fruit plant species in the yard area of Badang Village residents. This research was conducted from February to June 2022 in Badang Village, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency. The results showed that there were 22 types of fruit plants scattered in 6 hamlets of Badang Village, Ngoro Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, including: avocado, star fruit, durian, guava, orange, katilayu, longan, kersen/keres, mango, pineapple, jackfruit, papaya, banana, rambutan, salak, date palm, mustard, soursop, dragonfruit, grape, red pomegranate and sugar apple. The index of fruit plant diversity in Badang Village for each hamlet is different, for Badang Hamlet the diversity index value is 2.111, Wates Hamlet is 2.049, Wonoasri Hamlet is 1.973, Sukotirto Hamlet is 1.682, Wedani Hamlet is 1.443. The five hamlets are categorized as having a moderate diversity index. As for Watulintang Hamlet, the diversity index value is 0.957, so it is classified as low compared to other hamlets.

Abstract

The method used in this research is a quantitative method, sampling was carried out by installing Yellow Trap insect traps which were placed at several points for 12 days. The results of this research are the insect diversity index found in this research, there are 5 families, a total of 28 individuals. Consists of Oxyopidae, Coccinellidae, Pentatomidae, Noctuidae and Coreidae. The diversity index (H') value for insects is -1.35. Meanwhile, the dominance index for cayenne pepper plantations in Plosogeneng Village, Jombang District in the Yellow Trap is 0.31. Keywords: Insect Diversity, Dominance Index, Chili Plants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Important Value Index (IVI) of insects that are present in plantations of semiorganic and anorganic apples in Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Insect handling is done by direct observation and Yellow Trap. This research was carried out in April-May 2019. The parameters observed were insect IVI in both fields. The results of insect IVI research showed that the highest value in semiorganic apple plantations by direct observation found insects from the Cerambycidae family of 40.06% which acted as herbivores, while anorganic land from the Thripidae family was 42, 84% which acted as herbivor as well. Whereas the highest IVI in semiorganic and anorganic apple plantations with observations of Yellow Trap tools were found by insects from the family of Aphydidae namely semiorganic at 85.11%, and anorganic at 86.87% which acted as Herbivor.

Abstract

Sebuah penelitian lapang disusun untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam dan interval penyiraman pupuk organic cair terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bawang daun yang dibudidayakan dalam sistem vertikultur. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan Faktorial disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri atas dua faktor perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah Komposisi Media Tanam dengan 8 taraf yaitu : M1 (Tanah); M2 (Kompos); M3 (Arang Sekam); M4 (Tanah + Kompos (1:1)); M5 (Tanah + Arang sekam (1:1)); M6 (Kompos + Arang sekam (1:1)); M7 (Tanah + Kompos + Arang sekam (1:1:1)); dan M8 (Tanah + Kompos + Arang sekam (2:1:1)). Faktor kedua adalah interval penyiraman pupuk organik cair dengan 2 taraf yaitu: O1 (interval 4 hari) dan O2 (interval 7 hari). Dari kedua faktor perlakuan tersebut, diperoleh 16 kombinasi perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 48 satuan percobaan. Pengamatan dilakukan secara non distruktif yang meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah anakan pada umur 15, 30, dan 45 hst. Data pengamatan yang diperoleh dianalisis menggu-nakan analisis ragam (uji F) pada taraf 5%. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan dilakukan uji BNT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Penggunaan media tanam berbahan arang sekam pada perlakuan M3 (arang sekam), M5 (tanah + arang sekam (1:1)), M7 (tanah + kompos + arang sekam (1:1:1)) dan M8 (tanah + kompos + arang sekam (2:1:1)) baik pada interval penyiraman 4 dan 7 hst mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman bawang daun yang dibudidayakan secara vertikultur. Penggunaan media tanam kompos pada interval penyiraman POC 4 hari menghasilkan jumlah anakan yang paling rendah pada umur pengamatan 15 hst.

Abstract

Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) serangga yang terdapat di lahan perkebunan apel semiorganik dan anorganik di Kawasan Desa Wonosari Kecamatan Tutur Kabupaten Pasuruan. Pengamatan serangga dilaksanakan dengan cara Pengamatan langsung dan alat metilat lem trap. Penelitian ini dijalankan pada Bulan Maret 2020. Parameter pengamatannya adalah INP serangga yang terdapat di kedua lahan. Hasil INP serangga, nilai tertinggi terdapat di lahan perkebunan apel semiorganik, pada pengamatan langsung ditemukan serangga dari famili Formicidae dengan nilai prosentase 45,23% peranannya sebagai karnivor, pengamatan langsung di lahan anorganik ditemukan serangga dari famili Formicidae dengan nilai prosentase 41,44% peranannya sebagai karnivor. Sedangkan INP tertinggi di perkebunan apel semiorganik dan anorganik dengan pengamatan alat metilat lem trap sama-sama ditemukan serangga dari famili Aphydidae yaitu di lahan semiorganik nilai prosentase 76,38%, sedangkan di lahan anorganik nilai prosentase 79,16% peranannya sebagai Herbivor.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang sering dimanfaatkan sebagai bumbu dapur. Keberadaan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman bawang merah membuat petani menggunakan pestisida dan fungisida secara berlebihan. Prinsip kerja light trap adalah dengan memanfaatkan sifat hama yang aktif pada malam hari dan secara alami hama mudah tertarik dengan warna cahaya. Pengamatan ligt trap yang bersumber panel surya berjumlah 5 (warna merah, biru, putih, hijau, dan kuning). Perbedaan ini untuk mengetahui ketertarikan hama terhadap warna LED. Pengamatan dilakukan pada tanaman bawang merah di Desa Pandanblole Kecamtan Ploso Kabupaten Jombang. Adapun hasil light trap warna biru memperoleh 92,87 %, kemudian warna putih 3,74 %, hijau 1,65 %, Kuning 1,36 % , dan terakhir merah 0,36 %.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the amount of organic rice farming income in Bareng Village, Bareng subdistrict, Jombang District (2) to find out the feasibility level of organic rice farming in the review of the R/C Ratio in Bareng Village, Bareng subdistrict, Jombang District. The method used is the method (cross-section). The total sample of 7 farmers. The results of the analysis showed that (1) the production in two planting cycle processes in organic rice farming amounted to Rp 23,269,738, consisting of a fixed cost of Rp 8,427,594 and a variable cost of 14,842,143 (2) The Total revenue to Rp 31,971,428 and total income in two planting cycles in organic rice farming Rp 8,701,690 Total R /C in organic rice farming per two planting cycles in farmer groups in Bareng Village, Bareng subdistrict, Jombang District. Means the cost of production of Rp. 1 can generate an income of Rp 1,374 so that organic rice farming in Bareng village is profitable and worth trying.

Abstract

Gondang manis guava is a fruit product of Jombang Regency because of its limited existence in Jombang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the ecological conditions in the gondang manis guava plantation in Gondang Manis Village, Jombang Regency. This research was conducted in July – August 2020. This research is descriptive quantitative using a purposive sampling method, namely taking samples directly from the research location with the provision of 5 observation plots from a land area of ​​1500 m2. Observations were made 15 times with an interval of 2 days for 1 month. The observed factors include biotic and abiotic factors. The results showed the average age of gondang manis guava plant was 18 years with an average tree height of 6.5 meters; the average stem diameter is 34.9 cm and the average fruit production is 27.6 kg/tree, the temperature is 29oC, the humidity is 68%, and 11 families of flora and 6 families of fauna are found. The results of soil analysis showed that the soil pH value was neutral (6.6) with very low C-organic conditions (0.62%), very low soil nitrogen (0.00%) and very high soil phosphate (136 ppm).

Abstract

An experiment was arranged to determine the effect of fermentation time and yeast concentration on the color, taste and aroma of sweet potato tape (Ipomoea batatas L.) Ayamurasaki variety. This research was conducted in Tanjunggunung village, Peterongan Jombang sub-district, in July-November 2019. The study was arranged using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) and repeated three times with the following treatments: F1K1 : (48 hours fermentation yeast concentration 0.5%), F1K2 (48 hours fermentation with 1% yeast concentration), F1K3 (48 hours fermentation with 1.5% yeast concentration) F2K1 (48 hours fermentation with 0.5% yeast concentration), F2K2 (48 hours fermentation with 1% yeast concentration) F2K3 (48 hours fermentation yeast concentration 1.5%), F3K1 (48 hours fermentation yeast concentration 0.5%), F3K2 (48 hours fermentation yeast 1% concentration), F3K3 (48 hours fermentation yeast concentration 1.5%). The results of the analysis of variance showed that yeast concentration and fermentation time had a very significant effect on all variables except the color variable. The best treatment value is F1K1 and the lowest value treatment is F3K3. The longer the fermentation and the greater the concentration of yeast given, the acidity of the tape becomes very sour.
