Abstract

. This study aims to determine the spread of K-Pop culture among students of SMA Negeri 13 Makassar, and compare diffusion theory with technological developments. This study used qualitative reserch with informants, grade 2 students, sociology teachers, representatives to schools, and the community. The date collection techniques used direct observation, in-depth interviews, and docummentation. Data was analyzed by reducing data and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study showed that the factors that influence students of SMA Negeri 13 Makassar to get to know K-Pop culture were also very halpful and add  to the exprience in the era of increasingly advanced globalization. Researchers also found an impact in the process of spreading K-Pop culture in Indonesia. Especially students of SMA Negeri 13 Makassar, namly positive impacts and negative impacts. The positive impacts of K-Pop culture included adding new insights, being able to increase vocabulary, learning outside culture, relieving stress, and motivating  fans. While the negative impact was lack of intereset in learning, waste, making them focus more on outside culture, play more, spend quota to watch Korean dramas and play social media.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebaran budaya K-Pop di kalangan siswa SMA Negeri 13 Makassar, dan membandingkan teori difusi dengan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan informan siswa kelas XI, guru sosiologi, wakil kepala sekolah, dan masyarakat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan mereduksi data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa SMA Negeri 13 Makassar untuk mengenal budaya K-Pop juga sangat membantu dan menambah pengalaman diera globalisasi yang semakin maju. Peneliti juga menemukan dampak dalam proses penyebaran budaya K-Pop di Indonesia, khususnya siswa SMA Negeri 13 Makassar yaitu dampak positif dan dampak negatif. Adapun dampak positif budaya K-Pop diantaranya menambah wawasan baru, dapat menambah kosakata, mempelajari budaya luar, menghilangkan stres, dan memberi motivasi terhadap para penggemar. Sedangkan dampak negatifnya adalah kurangnya minat belajar, pemborosan, membuat mereka lebih fokus ke budaya luar, lebih banyak bermain, menghabiskan kuota untuk menonton drama Korea dan bermain sosial media.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to analyze and describe the representation of social class in the Snowpiercer (2013) and its benefits to study sociology in senior high school. The type of approach in this research was a qualitative descriptive method with the Snowpiercer (2013) as the data source. The data collection technique used documentation technique. Data analysis was content analysis by applying the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that the representation of social class was very dominant and played an important role in the plot and narrative of the Snowpiercer (2013), including: a) upper class vs lower class; b) exploitation and oppression; c) resistance and revolution; d) visual symbolism; e) upper class decadence; and f) manipulation of information. Then, the benefits of the Snowpiercer (2013) in studying sociology of senior high school including: visualizing social structure in learning material, visualizing social inequality in learning material, visualizing diversity and identity in learning, and visualizing rebellion and social change in learning.Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan representasi kelas sosial dalam Snowpiercer (2013) dan manfaatnya dalam pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA. Jenis pendekatan pada penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif analisis dengan objek Snowpiercer (2013) sebagai sumber datanya. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data adalah analisis isi dengan menerapkan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa representasi kelas sosial sangat dominan dan memainkan peran penting dalam plot dan narasi Snowpiercer (2013) antara lain: a) kelas atas vs kelas bawah; b) eksploitasi dan penindasan; c) perlawanan dan revolusi; d) simbolisme visual; e) dekadensi kelas atas; dan f) manipulasi informasi. Kemudian adapun manfaat Snowpiercer (2013) dalam pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA antara lain: memvisualisasikan struktur sosial dalam materi pembelajaran, memvisualisasikan ketimpangan sosial dalam materi pembelajaran, memvisualisasikan diversitas dan identitas dalam pembelajaran, dan memvisualisasikan pemberontakan dan perubahan sosial dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the application of video-based interactive multimedia learning media assisted by the Wondershare Filmora application in sociology learning at SMA Negeri 10 Gowa, and (2) improving student learning outcomes through video-based interactive multimedia learning media assisted by the Wondershare Filmora application in sociology learning. in senior high school. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research objects are Class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Gowa. Data sources in this research are interviews, observations, tests and documentation. The data in this research were analyzed using descriptive quantitative statistical analysis. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results obtained (1) through the application of Wondershare Filmora media can help teachers create interesting, unique and interactive learning media in the classroom learning process. (2) Based on the results of the first cycle and second cycle tests, 35 students were declared to have met the KKM. This research has implications for the application of videobased interactive multimedia learning media, learning in the classroom takes place actively and interactively, students appear more enthusiastic and motivated to pay attention to what is displayed and explained directly by the teacher. This can certainly improve student learning outcomes, especially in Sociology subjects for students at SMA Negeri 10 Gowa.

Abstract

The millennial generation has great potential to serve as legislative candidates in the 2024 election. They bring new perspectives, innovative thinking, and technological skills that can make a positive contribution to the legislative process. This research aimed to analyze and describe the role of the millennial generation as legislative candidates in the 2024 election. This research used descriptive qualitative techniques, which required a literature review that involved searching for relevant reading material in books or articles. This research shows that there was a challenge for the millennial generation in facing the 2024 election, namely that there is a negative stigma, sometimes they are said to tend to be lazy, anti-social, and even seen as not understanding politics and not caring about national conditions, although this is not entirely true. Motives and encouragement of the Millennial Generation to Become Candidates for Legislative Membership in 2024 are due to the hope that this generation can bring more adaptive, inclusive, and progressive changes to the policy-making process, such as the call to be involved in the political process, feel better represented, and hope for change. The potential for the millennial generation becomes legislative members in the 2024 election, because they have creativity and innovation, progressive thinking, and acceptance of the millennial generation in society in the 2024 election.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and describe the efforts of the Makassar City KPU in encouraging community participation in the implementation of the 2018 regional elections. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research by determining the number of informants consisting of 9 informants selected using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used by researchers goes through three work stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the KPU's efforts to encourage public participation in the 2018 regional elections include: a) carrying out regional elections professionally without black campaigns and the practice of money politics by ensuring that every citizen has the same rights and opportunities to participate in the regional election process, b) increasing voter participation by providing healthy political education by increasing public knowledge so that they can participate optimally in the regional election process, c) Transparency in the implementation of regional elections by providing information that is easily accessible, involving the public in decision making, using information technology, enforcing clear rules and sanctions, and involving independent supervision from supervisory institutions and civil society.
