Abstract

Extracurricular arts programs are an integral part of instilling character qualities in students. This research aimed to map out the constraints to extracurricular arts in elementary schools in Indonesia. To achieve the goal, this research looks at government initiatives aimed at enhancing the standard of arts extracurricular activities in elementary schools across the Country, which were carried out from 2013 to 2019. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a participatory observation approach. They were collecting data using participatory methods, observation, and guided discussion. This study’s results indicate that schools’ various obstacles in implementing extracurricular programs, ranging from the availability of competent teachers in the arts, funding constraints for trainers, and the existence of regional autonomy. This constraint mapping is very useful for designing policies and extracurricular programs that are appropriate for schools.

Abstract

As the development of science, technology, and external culture, individuals and groups face the challenges and major influences that enable changes in one's values, attitudes, and thinking patterns. Keroncong music is one type of music that is a result of the culture of society, especially the Javanese community. In technological developments, the existence of traditional music has been replaced by modern music. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analytical approach. Technique of data analysis performed using reduction of the data, the presentation of the data, and verification. the results show that cultural change in case of instrument musical change in Keroncong music effected by lack of relationship with other societies, developed education system, attitude of valuing the work of others and strong desire to advance, open system society (open stratification), vested interest, existence of reclusive attitude and prejudice against new (foreign), barriers which are ideologically, custom or habit that has rooted, value that life This is in fact.

Abstract

Yayasan Kasih Mandiri Bersinar mempunya visi yaitu kepedulian yang mendalam terhadap pergulatan hidup anak-anak dan remaja jalanan yang tersisih dan mengembalikan hak-hak mereka yang hilang. Sejalan dengan visi yayasan maka pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan atas dasar kepedulian terhadap anak-anak yang tinggal di yayasan. Tujuan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu memberikan layanan berupa pelatihan keterampilan bermain musik dan bernyanyi. Melalui musik, anak di ajarkan untuk mendapat posisi dan peran yang layak dihargai dan saling menghargai, anak dilatih untuk berkolaborasi dan bekerja sama dalam kelompok, anak di latih untuk memiliki rasa percaya diri dan menghargai orang lain, anak dilatih untuk membuka diri dan mengungkapkan perasaan melalui musik. Tujuan yang terakhir sebagai hasil dari pengabdian ini yaitu anak-anak memiliki bekal keterampilan bermusik dan bernyanyi yang diharapkan berguna bagi masa depan mereka. Metode Pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui program pelatihan bernyanyi dan bermain musik di Yayasan Kasih Mandiri Bersinar yang dilaksanakan selama empat bulan. Tim pengabdian terlibat langsung dalam interaksi dengan anak-anak baik dalam melatih, pemberian arahan, pertunjukan, bimbingan mental.

Abstract

Elementary student’s interests in music subjects at baseline showed a low percentage that is equal to 53.29%. Therefore it is necessary to attempt to increase student’s interest towards the subject. Learning by doing method applied to grade students in elementary school of Sukorejo, Indonesia to increase student’s interest towards music subject. The method that used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive (mixing methods). Data was collected by questionnaire (questionnaire), observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the learning model of learning by doing can improve student’s interest towards music subject at 94.73% and also can cultivate student’s interest during the learning process and can foster student’s interest towards music activities. In these efforts need to be supported facilities complete musical equipment of schools and teachers should be reproduce musical activities (practices) in the process of learning the art of music and requires students to take an active role in the learning process such as to ask, give an opinion and doing musical activities in the classroom.

Abstract

Improving students’ interest in music subject through practical learning in junior high schoolThis research aims to investigate problems and ways to increase students’ interest in music learning with practical learning methods. This study uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative (mixed) methods. Data were collected by means of questionnaires, observations and interviews. They were then analyzed by calculating the presentation of the success of the actions in this study. Indicator analysis consists of several aspects, including affective data (attitudes) obtained from observations, cognitive (knowledge) obtained from the students’ assessment, and the questionnaire analysis of the research sample. Researchers took a research sample at one of the schools in Jakarta. Then the researchers randomly selected 15 students from different classes in the school as research participants. The results showed that practical learning could increase students’ interest by 87% in category A with a very satisfying indexation when compared to the previous method applied by most teachers, the classical learning method.Keywords: practice learning, students’ interest, music learning, music educationMeningkatkan minat belajar musik siswa melalui pembelajaran praktek di SMPPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji masalah dan berupaya untuk meningkatkan minat belajar musik siswa dengan metode pembelajaran praktek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif (campuran). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Pengumpulan data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menghitung penyajian keberhasilan tindakan dalam penelitian ini. Analisis indikator terdiri dari aspek data afektif (sikap) yang diperoleh dari observasi dan aspek kognitif (pengetahuan) yang diperoleh dari penilaian siswa, serta hasil analisis angket sampel penelitian. Peneliti mengambil sampel penelitian di salah satu sekolah di Jakarta. Kemudian peneliti memilih secara acak 15 siswa dari kelas yang berbeda di sekolah tersebut sebagai objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran praktik dapat meningkatkan minat siswa sebesar 87% pada kategori A dengan indeksasi yang sangat memuaskan dibandingkan metode sebelumnya yang diterapkan oleh sebagian besar guru, yaitu metode pembelajaran klasikal.Kata kunci: pembelajaran praktek, minat siswa, pembelajaran musik, pendidikan musik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Metode Pembelajaran Orkes Angklung Pada Lagu-Lagu Nusantara di Saung Angklung Udjo, Bandung. Penelitian ini sudah dilakukan sejak bulan Maret 2020 sampai dengan Juni 2021 secara daring dan offline. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Pelaksanaan Pmbelajaran (RPP) musik angklung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada beberapa hal yaitu pertama, pembelajaran angklung di sanggar saung Udjo menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran seperti silabus dan RPP. Kedua, tahapan pembelajaran terdapat delapan kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan metode Kodaly, Hand Sign dan Pendamping. Ketiga, pembelajaran mengacu pada kemampuan motorik anak dari setiap pembelajaran dengan harapan dapat memainkan angklung sesuai tempo yang telah ditentukan, teknik bermain dan membaca notasi angka. Keempat, akhir dari penelitian ini peserta didik dapat mengikuti pertunjukan orkes angklung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis yang bersifat kualitatif dan deskriptif melalui studi pustaka

Abstract

GPSDI merupakan singkatan dari Gereja Pantekosta Serikat di Indonesia. GPSDI Sukorejo merupakan salah satu gereja yang ada di Jawa Tengah dan letaknya berada di desa. Gereja tersebut merupakan gereja yang masih berkembang, sehingga masih memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk memajukan gereja tersebut. Gereja tersebut memiliki jumlah jemaat yang terdiri atas sepuluh kepala keluarga. Terdapat kendala yang dimiliki oleh gereja tersebut dimana minat remaja dalam pelayanan musik masih kurang. Kurangnya minat tersebut karena tidak adanya kemampuan dalam bermain musik yang dimiliki remaja di gereja tersebut. Metode Pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada dasarnya dilakukan melalui program pelatihan musik yang diperuntukan bagi remaja di GPSDI Sukorejo, Kecamatan Tegowanu, Kabupaten Grobogan, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan selama enam bulan dengan empat kali jumlah pertemuan dengan menyesuaikan situasi pandemi covid 19 yang sedang terjadi. Pelatihan musik yang dilakukan melibatkan remaja yang ada di GPSDI Sukorejo untuk dilatih bermain alat musik dan bernyanyi. Tim pengabdian terjun langsung dan berinteraksi dengan mitra dalam kegiatan pelatihan yang diadakan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat remaja dan membekali keterampilan dalam bermain musik.

Abstract

The ongoing pandemic conditions until now, causing the learning process to be done online. Online learning seems boring because the online learning methods and media that are applied are less creative and varied. Teachers' incompetence in using technology is one of the causes of boring learning, so schools and teachers are trying to find the right method or media to make learning more interesting. The purpose of this study is to describe the TikTok application as music learning media from SMAN 1 Muara Enim, South of Sumatra. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method. This research was conducted in Perumahan Bumi Eraska Blok E7 no 12. The researcher got the data from observation of the learning outcomes of students and teacher of SMAN 1 Muara Enim South Sumatra, through Youtube and the TikTok application. The time of this research was conducted from March to June. Data collected were the result of interviews, literature, observation, and documentation. The result of this research indicates that the TikTok application can be used as a music learning medium. In utilizing the TikTok application there  must be appropriate steps and methods to achieve learning objectives. there are positive effects in the use of the TikTok application at SMAN 1 Muara Enim, namely can make students get more confidence in the music subject, familiarizing students with the use of technology 4.0 especially in the music subject, increasing student interaction during distance learning, making it easier for teachers and students with its features to make music learning videos, make students more interactive, and as a promotional tool for the school.

Abstract

The digital era demands changes in the form of performing arts. The form of performances that are usually carried out live on an open stage must be able to switch to the packaging of a video that is displayed through digital platforms such as You Tube. This study aims to describe musical performances with the theme Melodie del Mondo Fantastico as an effort to digitize the performing arts. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results show that digitalization of musical performances needs to be done so that artists and performers can still work and display them digitally via the internet. Some of the efforts made by students in the music education study program include arranging the theme of Melodie del Mondo Fantastico as an expression that describes the current situation, then determining the ten musical groups that will perform, determining the editor of each music group to process the audio and video, asking each player to record his music playing, combine the video of the players. Next, the main editor combines videos from ten music groups into one video which is uploaded to You Tube. The series of activities carried out is a creative process as an effort to change the performing arts from conventional to digital.

Abstract

One of the competencies that must be possessed in the 21st century is digital literacy skills. This ability must be possessed by every student and lecturer in integrating digital platforms into learning, especially in the current pandemic era. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of a digital platform in its application to practical courses. Researchers use google classroom as a sample of the many types of digital platforms. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a case study approach. The object of this research were 26 active students who took music ensemble courses, while the variable being investigated was the use of google classroom in learning. Data collection was carried out by means of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results show that digital platforms can be used as an alternative solution to carry out online learning in the midst of a pandemic. However, it is not optimal for the music ensemble course because of several factors, including the location of the student's residence which is difficult to get a signal, material that students find difficult, the availability of their own musical instruments, and the student's ability to play music.
