Abstract

Mathematics is one of the most important sciences in life, this can be seen from mathematics lessons that have even been learned since elementary school and even kindergarten. But learning mathematics is not always easy. Based on observations in the field, there are still many teachers in schools providing a less innovative learning, learning strategies that are still monotonous and learning methods that are less interesting.Based on data from the UN results in 2019 obtained from the Ministry of Education and Culture shows that NTT is one of 12 provinces where the average UN score is below the national average. Because mathematics is one of the UNBK subjects but occupies the lowest place of other subjects, the authors consider mathematics to be the center of attention, especially in the NTT region especially Kefamenanu. Therefore, the writer applies the sudoku game-assisted learning method to improve the understanding of the students of Warta Bakti Kefamenanu. The researcher compared the pre-test and post-test scores which gave the result that the scores were lower than the post-test scores. This confirms that students' understanding after learning by using the Sudoku game gives significant results.

Abstract

This dedication motivated by the lack of numeracy ability of most students in Indonesia. So it needs a certain method or technique that can help students in counting quickly and accurately. By providing a method or technique is expected to help students calculate quickly and accurately as well as to empower the maximum brain potential in counting. The purpose of this dedication is to build the basic concepts of students in arithmetic and foster creative ideas through the techniques provided. This workshop was held in SDN Sasi Kefamenanu East Nusa Tenggara within 3 (three) days and involved 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students respectively 15, 15, and 20 student. The First day of Workshop is pre-test and multiplication base 10, second day of workshop is multiplication base 100 and 50. The third day of workshop is multiplication base 20 and post-test. The result of this dedication is that although not of many student are able to solve multiplication with this method but the students have been excited in counting, especially for multiplication operation. For further it is better to do this workshop again for the teacher so that the teachers can do multiplication based on our workshop and forward it to the students.

Abstract

Permainan matematika merupakan salah satu cara untuk membangun minat siswa dan merupakan langkah yang baik agar siswa tidak merasa bosan dalam belajar matematika. Salah satu permainan matematika yang cukup populer saat ini adalah pemainan matematika Sudoku. Puzzle Sudoku identik dengan angka dan cukup rumit jika belum paham aturan permainannya. Tujuan dari teka-teki ini adalah untuk menempatkan angka-angka pada baris dan kolom yang tersedia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membangkitkan minat belajar matematika siswa dengan metode permainan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama tiga (3) hari di SMAK Warta Bhakti Kefamenanu kelas X1 IPA 1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa sebelum diberikan permainan adalah 48 sedangkan rata-rata hasil post-test siswa setelah diberikan permainan adalah 87.59 . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah siswa diberikan pemahaman tentang cara bermain Sudoku, hasil yang diperoleh lebih memuaskan dibanding sebelum diberikan pemahaman mengenai permainan ini. Melalui kegiatan ini pula minat belajar matematika siswa dapat dikatakan meningkat.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan untuk operasi perkalian adalah metode jarimatika. Metode ini diberikan kepada siswa SD di Kefamenanu mengingat berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Kefamenanu telah memiliki empat perguruan tinggi namun masih banyak siswa yang belum memiliki kemampuan berhitung cepat. Kelebihan metode jarimatika adalah tidak memerlukan alat peraga dan hafalan karena perhitungan dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan jari tangan sehingga diharapkan operasi hitung perkalian dapat lebih mudah dipahami, menyenangkan, dan tidak membebani memori otak siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SDN Neonbat Kefamenanu, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) dengan subyek pengabdian seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 60 orang. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop yang dibagi menjadi 2 hari. Pelaksanaan hari pertama fokus pada review kemampuan dasar siswa yang meliputi perkalian 1-5 dan dilanjutkan dengan perkenalan teknik berhitung cepat dengan jarimatika untuk perkalian 6-10 dan 11-15. Pengabdian dilanjutkan pada hari kedua yaitu review materi pada hari sebelumnya dan penyampaian teknik berhitung cepat untuk kelompok 16-20 yang diakhiri dengan pemberian latihan. Kegiatan pengabdian tidak hanya berhenti pada workshop tetapi dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan terhadap siswa yang dipilih sebanyak 20 orang. Kegiatan pendampingan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada pre-testsebesar 55,84 dan pada post test sebesar 75. Kata Kunci: berhitung cepat; metode jarimatika; perkalian; sekolah dasar [English]: One of the appropriate methods to learn multiplication is Jarimatika. It was given to elementary school students in Kefamenanu which, based on data from statistical central agency (BPS), has four colleges but there are still many students who do not have rapid counting skills. The advantage of this method is not requiring learning tools and memorization because calculations are done by utilizing the fingers so that the expected counting operation of multiplication can be more easily understood, enjoyable, and does not overload students’ memory. The purpose of this community service program was to improve the counting skills of elementary school students. It was held at SDN Neonbat Kefamenanu, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) involving 60 5th-grade students. The program was carried out in two-day workshop. The first day focused on the review of students ' basic ability which includes multiplication 1-5 and continued with the introduction of quick counting techniques with Jarimatika for multiplication 6-10 and 11-15. The second day was to review the previous day and introduce the rapid counting technique for multiplication 16-20. This program did not only end with the workshop but also continued with the assistance of 20 selected students. This assistance provided a positive impact on the results students get which can be seen from the increasing average score: 55,84 in the pre-test then increased to 75 in the post-test. Abstract

Verbal ability and numerical ability is the competence required in learning mathematics and allegedly affect the student's mathematics learning achievement. This study aims to see whether or not the influence of verbal ability and numerical ability on mathematics learning achievement of SMP students either partially or simultaneously. The study was conducted at SMPS Catholic Kefamenanu Aurora 2017/2018. The instruments used are verbal ability test, numerical ability test and mathematics learning achievement test. The instruments used are verbal ability test, numerical ability test and mathematics learning achievement test. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that : 1) Partially there is a significant influence between the ability of verbal and numerical ability to the achievement of junior high school students. 2) Simultaneously there is a significant influence between verbal ability and numerical ability to student's mathematics learning achievement. Based on these results can be concluded that both partially and simultaneously there is influence between the ability of verbal and numerical ability of student achievement of junior high.

Abstract

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Timor often has problems scheduling courses. Lectures in 7 study programs with 543 courses and 118 lecturers must be distributed into the 15 available rooms. This limitation causes lecture scheduling not to be evenly distributed for several lecturer. Some lecturers experience schedule buildup on certain days and time periods of the week. In addition, there is a fairly long time lag between one lecture and another on the same day for several lecturers. This scheduling problem is modeled using the Goal Programming method. The LINGO 11.0 software was used to solve this model. The results obtained are that each lecturer gets a lecture schedule that is evenly distributed on each day of the week without experiencing an overlap in lecture schedules. This model also solves the problem of the long time span between lecture schedules of several lecturers by limiting teaching breaks to only one time before starting the next lecture on the same day for each lecturer.

Abstract

This study was conducted to estimate the company's optimal profit by considering the product supply chain in a company that receives orders from several distributors. If all orders cannot be fulfilled by the available production capacity, the company will offer a solution in allocating capacity to distributors by considering scheduling costs and other constraints. The main work in estimating the company's profit is modeling the scheduling costs and constraints in the capacity allocation problem in the company. That is, the company makes order scheduling to minimize costs to achieve maximum profit by applying the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) method. Karush-Khun-Tucker can be used to find the optimal solution of the function formed from the allocation and scheduling problems whether linear or nonlinear. In the process, the KKT method basically involves the same steps as the Lagrange method to be able to calculate the critical point and find the optimum solution. It is suggested for further research to involve more varied variables with more interesting cases.

Abstract

Linear programming is one method oto determine the optimum value of a problem. Problems of the linear program faced by the decision makers have various variations from time to time. A variety of problems that can be seen as a multi-objective fuzzy linear programming, muli-objective stochastic linear programming, or a combination of both. This study focus on Multi-Objective Fuzzy Stochastic Linear Programming (MOFSLP) with each objective function has a same level of importance for decision makers or name as symmetrical model. The objective function of the MOFSLP contains the fuzzy parameters and normally distributed random variables while the function of constraints contains the fuzzy parameters. The purpose of this research is to formulate MOFSLP and develop algorithms to transform MOFSLP be Single-Objective Deterministic Linear Programming (SODLP) which can be solve using the simplex method. In transforming MOFSLP to SODLP, symmetrical model and also the chance constrained technique are used. In the end of this research, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the algorithm that has been developed. The models and algorithms that have been formed are expected to help decision makers in solving a problem.

Abstract

Istila “analisis kelangsungan hidup” mengacu pada proses statistik yang digunakan untuk memeriksa data yang berkaitan dengan waktu sampai peristiwa itu terjadi. Pada tanggal 19 Februari 2021 pasien terkonfirmasi COVID-19 di Indonesia berjumlah 1.263.299 pasien, dengan rincian pasien meninggal 34.152 pasien dan pasien sembuh 1.069.005. Sementara di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) tercatat sebanyak 91 pasien terkonfirmasi dengan rincian pasien dirawat sebanyak 43 pasien, pasien dinyatakan sembuh sebanyak 45 pasien dan 3 pasien meninggal, dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data kasus COVID-19 di Kabupaten TTU sejak Juli 2020 sampai 31 Agustus 2021. Uji Kaplan Meier dan Uji LogRank digunakan untuk menganalisis lama waktu sembuh pasien COVID-19 di Kabupaten TTU. Hasil penelitian menunjukan median lama waktu sembuh pasien COVID-19 di Kabupaten TTU secara keseluruhan adalah 10 hari perawatan, median lama waktu sembuh berdasarkan lama waktu sembuh pasien COVID-19 yang memiliki usia di bawah 40 tahun adalah 9 hari perawatan dan median lama waktu sembuh pasien COVID-19 yang memiliki usia di atas 40 tahun yaitu 10 hari perawatan. Berdasarkan uji Log-Rank dengan α = 0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan lama waktu sembuh pasien yang memiliki usia di bawah 40 tahun dan pasien yang memiliki usia di atas 40 tahun.

Abstract

Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) adalah salah satu penyakit yang masih berkembang dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Penyebab utama penyebaran penyakit DBD adalah gigitan dari nyamuk Aedes Aegypti, bisa juga disebabkan oleh nyamuk Aedes Albopictus. Selama ini sudah banyak dilakukan pencegahan tetapi masih ada yang teridentifikasi terinfeksi penyakit DBD. Hal ini disebabkan oleh iklim, di antaranya suhu, kelembaban udara dan curah hujan. Penyakit DBD ditunjukkan melalui gejala flu yang menyerang bayi, anak-anak dan orang dewasa dan bisa berakibat fatal. Gejala ini berlangsung selama 2 sampai 7 hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merekontruksi model penyebaran penyakit DBD di Kota Kefamenanu berdasarkan data yang di ambil dari RSUD Kota Kefamenanu pada tahun 2017 sampai tahun 2019, dari model kemudian dilakukan pencarian titik tetap, bilangan reproduksi dasar, analisis kestabilan terhadap titik tetap dan simulasi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa semakin meningkatnya laju nyamuk terinfeksi (????????) akan menyebabkan bilangan ℛ0 semakin meningkat sehingga laju penyebaran penyakit dalam populasi akan semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu laju nyamuk infeksi (????????) perlu dikurangi agar penyebaran penyakit DBD memiliki peluang yang sangat kecil.
