Abstract

Kaba (story) is an old literature of Minangkabau that brings with it local culture and languages. Such local languages need to be revitalized to sustain Indonesian culture and language. This study aimed to reveal the philosophical values contained in the Kaba Rambun Pamenan, the old Minangkabau literature. This study was solely carried out resting upon empirical facts or phenomena existing in the Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Sutan Mangkudun and Ilyas Sutan Mangkudun (1988). The data sources were recordings from an art performance at Taman Budaya Padang in 2010, the book of Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Sutan Mangkudun and Ilyas Sutan Mangkudun, and the Book of Cultural Values in Kaba Rambun Pamenan by Abdul Rahman. The data analysis techniques used inductive and deductive approaches. First, the researcher listened to and opened the video recording of the kaba rambun pamenan performance; second, he made a synopsis of the story; and third, he searched for the content of philosophical values in the kaba, and it was then narrated in the form of quotations in sentences. After the data were collected, further analysis based on the existing theory was conducted. The findings of the present study covered: (1) being a leader must be a wise leader; (2) being a child must be responsible for the family; (3) being a man must be brave and honest, polite, not arrogant, and humble; and (4) if going abroad, one must be honest and helpful

Abstract

 Peningkatan mutu proses serta hasil belajar menjadi tantangan dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong . Oleh karena itu, sebagai pendidik guru sangat menentukan mutu pembelajaran. Guru dituntut memiliki motivasi dan kompetensi pedagogik yang tinggi dalam melaksanakan tugas. Secara umum kualitas guru di SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong sebanyak 71% guru yang sudah mengikuti Diklat memiliki motivasi dan Kompetensi Pedagogik yang termasuk kategori tinggi, dan 29% guru yang belum mengikuti Diklat termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan rendah. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan cara pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif atau mixed methods. Data diperoleh dari wawancara, analisis dokumen serta kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara guru yang telah mengikuti diklat baik dari segi motivasi, kompetensi pedagogik maupun mutu pembelajaran. Dari perhitungan regresi secara bersamaan diperoleh bahwa motivasi dan kompetensi pedagogik dapat mempengaruhi mutu pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu sebesar 29% guru yang belum mengikuti Diklat diharapkan berkesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan guna mengembangkan motivasi dan kompetensi pedagogik. Sedangkan terhadap 71% guru diharapkan bisa mempertahankan motivasi dan kompetensi pedagogiknya guna mencapai mutu pembelajaran yang baik.

Abstract

This research is to describe how to cultivate religious character education through the habituation method. The type of research is qualitative in which the approach used is descriptive qualitative. Furthermore, the data obtained by interview, observation and documentation. Furthermore, the analysis was carried out by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The research shows that the cultivation of religious character education through habituation methods can be carried out such as routine activities, namely dhuha prayer, murojaah and tadarus al-quran before lessons start and zhuhur prayer in congregation at school.

Abstract

This article aims to find out how the medical and legal views of Islam (Maqashid Sharia) on marriages are carried out by minors. Through library research methods, this study found; 1) from a medical point of view, early marriage is not recommended. Because it can harm the reproductive health of women who are still in their infancy. Mentally, the perpetrators will feel inferior and less able to control their emotions due to emotional unpreparedness, 2) in terms of Maqashid Sharia, early marriage should be avoided. Because, although the goal of Sharia, namely maintaining offspring, is fulfilled, in practice it often causes problems, so that the purpose of marriage, which is getting sakinah mawaddah wa rahmah, is not achieved

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau dalam membina budaya Islam moderasi dan hasil pembinaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau terdiri dari peran leader, administrator, supervisor, edukator, manajer, motivator dan inovator. Hasil pembinaan budaya Islam moderasi pada aspek akidah mengadakan ceramah agama, menekankan penerapan pelajaran akidah akhlak. Pada aspek ibadah dengan mendirikan rumah tahfiz dan program tahfiz Al-Qur’an, memasukkan pelajaran tahfiz Qur’an pada pelajaran muatan lokal, menyediakan guru hafiz Qur’an 30 juz, dan memondokkan siswa-siswi selama sebulan menghapal Al-Qur’an secara bergiliran. Pada aspek akhlak lebih banyak kegiatan seni dan olahraga dibandingkan kegiatan keagamaan baik untuk guru dan staf maupun untuk siswa

Abstract

This study aimed to find an overview as regards the evaluation concerning the use of school operational assistance funds (BOS) at MIS 01 Lebong Tambang by using a qualitative approach. The data were obtained using observation and interview techniques. After collected, the data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman and Saldana’s approach extending to data selection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study concluded that the evaluation of distribution and use of school operational assistance funds (BOS) conducted by the school became a very helpful medium for the school per se. Such evaluation was oriented towards increasing the resources of teaching staffs. Based on evaluation, it was found a mismatch between the budget ceiling of BOS and the teachers’ needs. School facilities and infrastructure such as the construction of new classrooms, let alone Worship facilities such as Musalla, could not use school operational assistance funds (BOS), so it was very difficult for the school because for RKB the budget had to be separated from the school operational assistance funds (BOS).

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine whether there is a direct or indirect effect of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on the performance of IAIN Curup lecturers. Based on pre-observation, the low frequency of lecturers' attendance which did not reach sixteen meetings, the difficulty to meet the Academic advisor for consultation, inappropriate expertise of lecturers, and some of the incompetent lecturers became the background leading the researchers to examine the performance of the IAIN Curup lecturers. In this study, there were three variables. A purposive sampling was used to involve all official lecturers as the participants, and they were 112 people.  This study used a quantitative approach as the research methodology by applying a survey method with path analysis technique. This study used questionnaire as the data collection technique. The researchers had analyzed the instrument before it was distributed to the participants. The instrument was tested by using validity and reliability tests. Three hypotheses were tested. The results showed that transformational leadership had a direct, positive effect on job performance; self-efficacy had a direct, positive effect on the lecturers’ job performance; and the transformational leadership had a direct effect on self-efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of subject teacher consultation training (MGMP) and incentives on teacher performance in private MTS in Curup District. This was a descriptive quantitative study. The population engaged all private MTs teachers in Curup District totaling 95 people. This study deployed a purposive sampling technique, so that 50 people were obtained as the samples according to the criteria. The instrument used was a questionnaire and documentation. The analysis employed descriptive percentage analysis method and multiple linear regression. The results of the regression analysis at the 5% confidence level showed that MGMP training and incentives contributed 71.89% to the performance of teachers in private MTS in Curup District, and the partial contribution from MGMP training was 53.3% and incentive was 62.8%. This study concluded that there were significant effects of MGMP training and incentives on teacher performance in a high category. This showed that the overall performance of teachers in private MTS in Curup District was influenced by the level of MGMP training and the amount of incentives.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine human resource management in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Mathitiriyah Rupit District. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive analytical methods, namely methods that attempt to systematically explain the discussion material originating from various sources for later analysis in order to obtain results as a conclusion. Research Results, principals are very instrumental in increasing and motivating teachers, staff / employees, in improving student achievement, which has been effective and conditional. In providing opportunities and opportunities for the teachers to take part in education and training held by the government and provide opportunities for teachers to continue their higher level of study, Conclusion, the head of MA Al-Mathiriyah carries out, plans, and professionals, as well as field experts, and able to give awards, and provide penalties, if it violates the teacher's code of ethics. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of the principal as an administrator and supervisor. The design of this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of principals, teachers and staff staff at Megang Sakti Public Middle School, Musi Rawas District. The results of the study explained that the principal had applied his main tasks and functions as the principal. The conclusions of this study are that the Principal of Megang Sakti Middle School has made a good work program, this can be seen from school activities, both related to students and with educators and school education.
