Abstract

Since the last few years, Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah) Ar-Rahmah Rejang Lebong has experienced a decline in student interest. Regarding this problem, the principal tried to do a promotion strategy. In this research, the researcher found some aspects of the strategy that the principal did, namely advertising trough brochures and banners, direct marketing, interactive or internet marketing, sales promotion, and even publicity or public relations. In carrying out these strategies, there are some obstacles faced by the school, such as competition with other Islamic and public schools and the inadequate facilities of Madrasah Aliyah infrastructure that reduce students’ interest in this school.This research applied a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were the Principal of Madrasah Aliyah Ar-Rahmah, the education staff involved in the learning process, the students as objects and subjects of learning as well as the surrounding community. The data were collected by using observation, interviews, and documentation. In analyzing the qualitative data, the researcher used data analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman model that includes some aspects namely Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Drawing Conclusions.The result of this research revealed that the principal’s strategies to attract students’ interest at Madrasah Aliyah Ar-Rahmah have been good. However, there are some obstacles as regards other schools as the competitor and a limitation of school facilities. Therefore, the increase of prospective students’ interest cannot be ensured every year.

Abstract

The research is behind the issue of policy change implementation of field experience practice of faculty Tarbiyah from 2 months to 4 months with the reason first, the student is less gaining knowledge and experience, secondly, the time of doing PPL on In January to March to coincide with the national exam, third, relating to the allocation of honors for teacher teachers that were calculated according to the number of students he was tutored, and fourth, with the change of the policy of PPL 4 months that effect on Completion of student thesis. The purpose of the research is to know the perception of the stake holder against PPL IAIN Curup and to know a formulation of PPL majors Tarbiyah IAIN Curup. The research method used is qualitative research using an analysis-descriptive approach.  This study saw the implementation of PPL faculty Tarbiyah because the policy changes from 2 months to 4 months. The results showed the school's perception of PPL for paedagogic competence is still lacking, especially in classroom management, RPP manufacturing, and the development of learning evaluation tools. For personal competence is still low on student discipline and managing emotions, while for social competence most students impress their exclusive neighbors.

Abstract

Pentingnya proses pengarsipan secara digital di IAIN Curup yang diawali dengan proses pengumpulan, pemeliharaan serta diseminasi pengetahuan karya ilmiah melalui proses penyebaran informasi yang direncanakan, diarahkan dan dikelola serta direpositorikan secara online yang bersifat open access menggunakan eprints software. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan pemodelan implementasi open access pada repositori institusi pada IAIN Curup yang menggunakan perangkat lunak berbasis open source. Banyak dosen dan mahasiswa yang masih belum memahami cara penggunaan eprints software ini sehingga perlunya dibuat sebuah pemodelan metode implementasi repositori untuk para pengguna. Studi kasus ini mengungkap kasus terkait kegiatan repositori selama ini di IAIN Curup. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis fenomena, mendeskripsikan, dan memecahkan permasalahan yang ada terhadap observasi objek yang diteliti yaitu di pusat perpustakaan, fakultas/program studi, LP2M dan pusat publikasi jurnal ilmiah. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Penelitian ini menghasilkan tiga bentuk pemodelan proses implementasi repositori institusi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan potensi akademik institusi IAIN Curup.ABSTRACTThe importance of the digital archiving process at IAIN Curup begins with the process of collecting, maintaining and disseminating scientific knowledge through the process of disseminating its planned information, directed and managed, and published online which is using open-access EPrints software. This study aims to model the implementation of open access institutional repositories at IAIN Curup using open-source software. Most lecturers and students do not understand how to use this software so that it is necessary to make a modeling method of implementing repositories for its users. This case study reveals repository activities at IAIN Curup. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing phenomena, describing, and solving existing problems with observing the objects under study, namely at the library center, faculties/programs, LP2M, and scientific journal publication center. The research design used the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. This research produces three forms of modeling of the institutional repository implementation process which is used to enhance the academic potential of the IAIN Curup institution.

Abstract

IT Blue Print  (Cetak biru IT) pada intinya berisi rencana strategis perusahaan/institusi dalam mengimplementasikan dan membangun teknologi informasi/ sistem informasi di Perusahaan/institusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model Blueprint IT dari segi arsitektur data, arsitektur aplikasi dan arsitektur teknologi menggunakan enterprise architecture Zachman Framework. lebih dikenal dengan cetak biru teknologi informasi, dimana cetak biru ini merupakan rancangan sistem teknologi informasi yang sifat menyeluruh dan terintegrasi. Metodologi digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada kerangka Enterprise Architecture Planning.Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan rancangan arsitektur data, aplikasi dan teknologi beserta entitas data, entitas bisnis serta bisnis proses dan fungsi bisnis proses sehingga dapat menggambarkan model blueprint IT beserta roadmap implementasi yang menjadi acuan dan pedoman kampus IAIN Curup untuk menyusun dokumen Blueprint IT IAIN Curup.Kata Kunci : Enterprise Architecture Planning, Zachman Framework, Perancangan, Cetak Biru

Abstract

Banyak sekali ketidakteraturan dalam penempatan buku-buku di rak buku perpustakaan sehingga sering sekali menjadi masalah pada proses pelayanan yang ditimbulkan karena sulitnya mahasiswa mendapatkan informasi tentang keberadaan buku, terjadinya kehilangan buku yang tidak diketahui keberadaannya serta sulitnya menemukan buku referensi yang pada umumnya sering dicari dan diminati mahasiswa berdasarkan kategori buku atau subjek buku pada suatu rak buku tersebut sehingga dapat memperlama waktu proses pencarian serta terjadinya antrian dalam transaksi peminjaman yang dilakukan oleh sistem. Pemecahan permasalahan penempatan buku-buku di perpustakaan Kampus dapat dilakukan mengunakan Data Mining metode Association Rule dengan algoritma apriori menggunakan Software Tanagra sebagai pengujian data mining yang diharapkan dapat mencari kecenderungan buku-buku yang sering dipinjam dan penempatan buku dapat diletakkan berdekatan berdasarkan pendekatan analisa menggunakan metode association rule sehingga dapat memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mencari buku-buku secara tepat. Kata Kunci: Data mining, Association Rule, Algoritma Apriori.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out a portrayal of the foster or adoptive parents’ strategies in building children's morals at the Ar-Rayhan orphanage of Curup, Bengkulu, using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the foster parents at the orphanage, while the data were collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data of this study were analyzed by some stages comprising reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This study concluded that the foster parents’ strategies in developing children's morals at the Ar-Rayhan orphanage of Curup extended to: teaching children to get up at dawn and continuously involving them into subuh congregational prayer. After prayer, they were given spiritual activities and a sort of motivation for the children at the Ar-Rayhan Orphanage so that everything they underwent daily would lead to betterment.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out a depiction of PAI learning model at SMKN of Lubuk Ubar in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu. This study used a qualitative approach, and the data sources were PAI teacher, class teacher, and school principal. This study used observation and interview techniques to gather data as regards objectives of this study. After the data were collected, the next step was to analyze the data using the approach of Miles et al comprised of selecting and mapping data, presenting data, and verifying conclusions. This study drew the following conclusion: the learning model applied by PAI teachers was first an active and cooperative learning model. It referred to a learning model that led students to be active and creative, not just listening, but also carrying out activities such as processing, finding, and utilizing information. Second, the contextual learning model, this model helped educators link between the materials taught and real-world situations experienced by students, so that students could find a relationship between the knowledge they had and its application in their lives as family and community members.

Abstract

An Islamic boarding school is known as an educational institution which teaches discipline, independence, responsibility, and an attitude that cares of environment and has high social values. Such an attitude cannot be naturally embedded without being preceded by existing rules. It is such a different thing as regards community's assumptions about the degree of students’ discipline at Ar-Rahmah boarding school of Curup. Their assumptions are declining and have an impact on the lack of public confidence in the existence of Ar-Rahmah as an institution that teaches discipline. In order to answer questions surrounding this issue, this study was carried out by using a qualitative approach according to its procedures. This study concluded that the factors of low discipline included students’ low awareness in implementing the rules applied in the Islamic boarding school, educators’ weak supervision in students’ activities, and appropriate punishments not applied when any of the students broke the rules. Abstract

The current online learning process requires virtual face-to-face media to interact between lecturers and students. However, currently available media requires lecturers to pay a fee to communicate indefinitely. Therefore, we need a media that can facilitate lecturers to do learning easily. This study aims to integrate jitsi with matrix conferences as a real-time online communication medium in learning. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the waterfall method. The steps taken are analysis, design, coding and testing. The analysis is carried out on the system development needs, then the design stage of the Jitsi architecture with a matrix, then coding using PHP and testing through QoS. QoS testing has very good throughput results, poor packet loss, very good delay, and excellent jitter for small-scale applications. It shows that picking video conferencing can be used as a medium of communication in online learning.
